Excavation of a small rectangular enclosure (E2) was undertaken in 2001 by Northamptonshire Archaeology. The enclosure, defined by ditches, sat within a coaxial field system situated on Magnesium Limestone which was investigated piecemeal between 2000 and 2007 as part of the Redhouse Development, Adwick-le-Street, Doncaster. Enclosure E2 is thought to have been used for livestock management from the Iron Age into the Roam period. Sherds of a black-burnished ware vessel of 2nd-3rd century AD date were recovered from the upper fill of one of the ditches.

An archaeological earthwork survey and trial trenching took place on land to the west of West Street, Stanwick, Northamptonshire. Three distinct phases of activity at the site were identified, the earliest recorded phase comprising undatedditches and pits which although were aceramic may be regarded as prehistoric or Roman in date. This is unsurprising given the site's close proximity to prehistoric and Roman landscape in the part of the Nene valley. Medieval occupation, probably commencing in the 11th century comprised the foundations of stone walls and remnants of associated surfaces. Some of the buildings, particularly in the north-western corner were superseded by later stone structures, which were recorded on early historic maps. Elsewhere the medieval remains were often sealed by the build up of later deposits including banks. Post-medieval occupation continued until the early 19th century after which buildings were demolished. The relict earthworks, comprising a large extraction pits, ridge and furrow, platforms and ditches and banks relate to later medieval and post-medieval occupation and disturbance.

MOLA has been commissioned by Redhouse Projects to produce an interim report on archaeological fieldwork undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology in 2001 on part of Plot 8, Adwick-le-Street, Doncaster. The archaeological remains comprised a small rectangular enclosure dated to the Late Iron Age- Early Roman period, probably associated with a field system. In form it is similar to another enclosure previously identified to the north-east, which could be part of the same field system.

An archaeological earthwork survey of upstanding remains within the historic core of Crick was carried out by MOLA Northampton in July 2015. The work was commissioned by CgMs Consulting in response to a request from the Assistant Archaeological Advisor to Northamptonshire County Council. The archaeological remains likely relate to the early medieval settlement of Crick and comprised a ladder system of hollow-ways with housing platforms either side. The site had undergone some disturbance after it fell out of use; there are a number of depressions which relate to extraction or might be tree throws. The reinstatement of the site following the construction of an unauthorised BMX track was not visible.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by CgMs Consulting Ltd to carry out a detailed magnetometer survey on 2.5ha of land at Brixworth Road, Spratton, Northamptonshire. The survey identified remnants of former stream beds, ridge and furrow cultivation and modern ferrous debris. No anomalies of archaeological interest were identified during the survey.

MOLA Northampton was commissioned by Pell Frischmann, acting on behalf of Luton Borough Council, to undertake archaeological works as part of the M1 Junction 10a Road Improvements. The works comprised an archaeological earthwork survey of the parts of Kidney Wood likely to be directly impacted by the groundworks as well as observation of the groundworks. The works identified a pattern of shallow gullies, forming a possible prehistoric field system away from settlement. A single piece of worked flint was recovered from one the gullies during the works. In the post-medieval period the woodland and surrounding landscape was intensively managed and quarried for a local brickmaking industry at the Luton Hoo estate. Luton Hoo, although noted for its pleasure grounds and visible display of wealth, was also a working estate for timber, wood, clay/brick and chalk.

Northamptonshire Archaeology were commissioned by CgMs Consulting, acting on behalf of their clients G P Planning, to undertake an archaeological trial trench evaluation on arable farmland at 'Stonepits' quarry, Upper Benefield, Northamptonshire. Remnants of the medieval open field system (furrows) were present in trench 6. No archaeological features were identified and no artefacts were recovered.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by CgMs Consulting to undertake a magnetometer survey of 10ha of land, to the north of Byfield Road, Woodford Halse, Northamptonshire. The survey identified ploughed-out remains of medieval ridge and furrow as well as a number of ferrous signals of uncertain origin

Northamptonshire Archaeology were commissioned by CgMs Consulting, acting on behalf of their clients Miller Homes, to undertake an archaeological trial trench evaluation on grassland east of Hampton Road, Knowle, Solihull. No archaeological features were identified and no artefacts were recovered.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by Loxton Developments to undertake an archaeological evaluation on the site of the demolished Russell House, Ely Street, Stratford-upon-Avon. Archaeological features and deposits were identified over 1.0m below the modern ground surface. The archaeological features were predominantly medieval in date, overlain by a sequence of deposits dating from the late medieval period to the 19th century. A wall and associated external waste pits and wells relating to the 19th-century tenement block, Russell Court were also recorded. The site had been subsequently truncated by the construction of Russell House in the 1960s.

Northamptonshire Archaeology were commissioned by CgMs Consulting Ltd to undertake a detailed magnetometer survey across 42ha of land situated to the east of Rugby, Warwickshire. The survey area encompassed the south-eastern part of the former Rugby Radio Station and other land immediately to its south. The survey detected an enclosure and other features of probable Iron Age or Roman date, extensive remains of the medieval open field system, and modern mast bases, services and other radio station infrastructure.

The geophysical survey identified three enclosures, possible pits, and substantial areas of disturbance. The trial trenching targeted the areas of archaeology as well as 'blank' zones. The ditches of three Roman enclosures have been identified, as well as two pits with burnt stone, one of which had a quantity of charred grains. The Roman pottery recovered was of mid/late 1st century to late 2nd century date. Small scale quarrying truncated the enclosures, and is suspected to be of Roman date. Remnants of post-medieval field boundaries, corresponding with fields shown on historic maps, were also found. Large industrial-scale ironstone quarrying took place in the post-medieval/modern period. The works, including a tramway, are shown on 19th-century historic maps. The remains of the infilled pit and the tramway were located in the northern part of the site.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by the Forestry Commission to carry out a walkover survey in Salcey Forest, near Hartwell, Northamptonshire. Four areas, totalling 29 hectares defined by the Forestry Commission, were surveyed in January and February 2011. These were targeted in order to 'ground-truth' features identified by LiDAR. A detailed measured survey of a rectangular earthwork enclosure was also undertaken. A number of features were noted during the walkover survey, including a D-shaped enclosure, an earthwork bank and drainage ditches.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by GK Heritage to undertake a measured earthwork survey on 26ha of land within the Wood Burcote Estate, Wood Burcote, Northamptonshire. The survey identified and recorded earthworks including the open field system relating to the shrunken medieval village of Wood Burcote. Later activity was represented by features associated with the landscaping of the 20th-century parkland and modern disturbance.

An archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology during March 2011. The site was located at Sacombe Road on the northern edge of Bengeo, and comprised a parcel of land covering 2.10ha. Nineteen trenches totalling 570 linear metres were excavated across the site. Scattered prehistoric and post-medieval archaeological remains comprising ditches, gullies and pits were recorded.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by The Environment Agency to undertake an auger survey followed by a Watching Brief of the dredging of Chester Water. The works concluded the channel silts were modern in date.

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by CgMs Consulting Ltd to carry out a magnetometer survey on 7ha of land south of Banbury Lane, Northampton. A possible Neolithic henge monument comprising three concentric ditches was found. Further ditches to the south of this feature probably represented a continuation of a previously identified Iron Age site to the west. A post-medieval ditch, modern pipelines and plough marks were also present.
