Colopalpus hibiscus sp. nov. (Figs. 1���15) Type materials. Holotype female. China: Hainan province: Sanya city: Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, ex. Hibiscus sp. (Malvaceae), 19 March 2013, coll. Yun Xu. Paratypes. 12 females, 7 males, 3 deutonymphs, 6 protonymphs, 3 larvae, same data as holotype. A new species, Colopalpus hibiscus sp. nov. (Acari: Tenuipalpidae) is described from Hibiscus in Hainan province, China. The ontogenetic changes in the idiosoma and leg chaetotaxy on adults (female and male) and immature stages of this new species are presented. A key to species of Colopalpus is also provided.

A new oribatid mite species of the family Pediculochelidae, Paralycus nortoni sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on adult specimens collected from barks of dead Pinus massoniana Lamb. infested by Monochamus alternatus in Fuzhou city, China. This new species described here is the fourth species of the genus Paralycus in China. An updated key to the species of the genus Paralycus is provided., Acarologia, 60, 481-487

Schizocyrtillus fuzhouensis sp. nov. Diagnosis. Adult female. Dorsum oval, truncate anteriorly and broadly rounded posteriorly; smooth, covered with more than 100 simple setae and numerous irregularly placed small circular pores; sternal plate with three pairs of simple setae, two pairs of pores and network of sculpture lines; metasternal plates narrow, lying between coxae II and III, bearing one pair of setae; ventral, anal, parapodal and metapodal shields fused, forming genito-ventrianal shield; anterior margin of this shield convex, with notched protuberance medially; its surface smooth, with 28 pairs of simple setae and numerous irregularly placed circular pores; post-anal plate more than six times as wide as long, with one pair of setae. Type material. Holotype Female, China, Lianjiang county, Fuzhou city, Fujian province, 27 October 2016, by Yun Xu, from rotten wood and bark of Pinus massoniana Lamb. Paratypes: 1 female, same data as holotype. The holotype and paratype are deposited in the Department of Plant Protection, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China. Female (n=2). Idiosomal dorsum (Fig. 5): Shape oval, truncate anteriorly and broadly rounded posteriorly, 540 length, 395 at width level of coxae IV; smooth, covered by a single shield with more than 100 simple setae; all setae subequal in length (25���35); surface with numerous irregularly placed small circular pores. Marginal plate with a single row of simple setae. Idiosomal venter (Fig. 6). Tritosternal base adjacent to anterior margin of sternal plate, laciniae free and pilose. Sternal shield wider than long, both anterior and posterior margins concave. Sternal plate with three pairs of simple setae (st 1 ��� st 3), st 1 placed anteriorly and st 2 ��� st 3 inserted at the same level posteriorly, shield with two pairs of pores, and a network of sculpture lines. Metasternal plates narrow, lying between coxae II and III, bearing setae st 4. Pore III slit-shaped, located anterior to setae st 4. Posterior margins of metasternal plates sinuous, with heavily sclerotised indentations to accommodate heads of vaginal sclerites. Ventral, anal, parapodal, peritremal and metapodal shields fused, forming genito-ventrianal shield. Anterior margin of this shield convex, with notched protuberance medially. Shield surface smooth, with 28 pairs of simple setae and numerous irregularly placed circular pores. Stigmata lateral to coxae IV. Peritremes straight, extending to anterior margin of coxae II. Ventrimarginal shields border ventrianal shield from level of coxae II to posterior margin; shields posteriorly separated from one another by post-anal plate. Each ventrimarginal shield with three simple setae posteriorly. Postanal plate (16 length, 105 width) more than six times as wide as long, with one pair of setae. Legs (Fig. 7). All legs with simple setae. Leg I without claws. Leg II much stouter than others. Genua III and IV each with one dorsal macroseta. Leg I���IV chaetotaxy (from coxa to tarsus): I 2-5-9-9-12 -31; II 1-4-12-9-7 -19; III 1- 4-7-8-7-18; IV 0-5- 4-8-7-21. Gnathosoma (Figs 8���10). Tectum as in Fig. 9. Fixed digit of chelicera with two teeth on the cutting edge and 13���14 teeth on the lateral face. Movable digit with eight teeth, last tooth much larger than others; with two branched excrescences ventrally. Hypostome with four pairs of setae; corniculi deeply divided and trifurcate. Male and immatures unknown. Etymology. The species is named after the type locality, Fuzhou. Remarks. Shape oval, rounded anteriorly and posteriorly; covered with ornamentation in form of elongate cells and more than 100 simple setae and numerous irregularly placed small circular pores; sternal plate wider than long, anterior margin truncate and posterior deeply concave, with three pairs of simple setae and network of sculpture lines; metasternal plates triangular, lying between coxae II and III, bearing one pair of setae and one posterior pore-like structure; ventral, anal, parapodal, peritremal, and metapodal shields fused, forming genito-ventrianal shield; anterior margin of this shield truncate and convex medially; shield with ornamentation in form of elongate cells and 20 pairs of simple setae; ventromarginal shields free, extending to level of coxae II; each bearing two setae; post-anal plate absent. Adult male (Figs 3���4). Holoventral shield bearing about 28 pairs of simple setae; shield with reticulate transverse ornamentation; peritremes extending to posterior level of coxae I. Material examined. 1 female and 2 males, China, Shaxian county, Sanming city, Fujian province, 6 April 2017, by Yun Xu and Lie-qing Fu, from rotten wood and barks of Pinus massoniana Lamb. Hosts. This species has been collected from the bark of dead Pinus halepensis, Ips acuminatus (Sellnick 1951), I. typographus (Kinn 1991), Tomicus minor, Hylurgops palliatus, Pityogenes bistridentatus, Taphrorychus bicolor (Khaustov 1997), Pityocteines curvidens (Pernek et al. 2012), Crypturgus cinereus (Plumari 2008), Orthotomicus erosus (Ahadiyat et al. 2012), Dendroctonus frontalis, Ips avulsus, I. calligraphus, I. confusus, I. grandicollis, I. crebricollis, I. typographus, Orthotomicus sabinianae (Hofstetter et al. 2015), and Pityogenes chalcographus (Khaustov et al. 2016), and the bark of dead Pinus massoniana Lamb. Prolixus splendens sp. nov. ( Figs. 1���15 ) Type specimens. Holotype ♀. New Zealand, Auckland, Muriwai Beach, Maori Bay Car Park, 5 May 2018, by Nicholas A. Martin, ex. Austroderia splendens (Poaceae). Paratypes. 13 females, 3 males, 12 deutonymphs, 9 protonymphs, 6 larvae, same data as holotype. The holotype and paratypes will be deposited in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection (NZAC), Landcare Research, Auckland, New Zealand. Adult Female (n=14) Gnathosoma. Adult female of Terminalichus sanya sp. nov. is readily distinguished from the other six species by the absence of the first pair prodorsal setae v 2, setae 1 a and 4 a flagelliform, setae 4 a about four times as long as setae 3 a, and tarsi I���IV with 6 +��, 6 +��, 3, 3, respectively. The ontogeny of Terminalichus has not previously been reported. Based on the study of Terminalichus sanya sp. nov. the dorsal idiosomal setae (sc 1, sc 2, c 3, d 3, e 3, h 2 and h 1) and pseudanal setae (ps 1 and ps 2) are present throughout all stages. Ventral setae 1 c, 2 c and 3 b are added in protonymph, 2 a, 4 a and 4 b are added in the deutonymph. Aggenital setae ag appears in the protonymph; the first pair of genital setae g 1 appears in the deutonymph and the second pair are added in the adults. The palpal chaetotaxy (0, 1, 1 (��)) is unchanged from larva to adult. The changes of chaetotaxy of leg segments are listed in Table 1. Genus Ultratenuipalpus Mitrofanov, 1973 Diagnosis. Adult female. Palpus usually 4 -segmented. Prodorsum with a rostral shield and 3 pairs of setae (v 2, sc 1 and sc 2); setae sc 2 leaflike, lanceolate. Opisthosoma with 8���10 pairs of dorsal setae; dorsosublateral setae absent; dorsocentral setae c 1, d 1 and e 1 present; dorsolateral setae 4���6 pairs (d 3, e 3, f 2, f 3, h 2 and h 1; or d 3, e 3, f 3, h 2 and h 1; or d 3, e 3, f 3 and h 1) leaflike, lanceolate, except d 3 spatulate or setiform. Ultratenuipalpus avarua sp. nov. (Figs. 1���7) Diagnosis. The adult female of Ultratenuipalpus avarua sp. nov. is readily distinguished from those of the other 24 species by rostral shield deeply cleft medially with 2 forked projections on each side; prodorsum smooth, divided into 5 regions, the prodorsal setae v 2 and sc 1, dorsalcentral setae c 1, d 1 and e 1 setiform and subequal; the dorsolateral setae e 3, f 3, h 2 and h 1 broadly lanceolate, subequal in length and about 7 times as long as setae d 3; triangular body projections present anterior to setae h 2 and h 1 on each side, and a broadly truncated projection between setae h 1. Type specimens. Holotype ♀. Cook Islands, Rarotonga, Avarua, 15 March, 1983, by Uri Gerson, ex. Cocos sp. (Arecaceae). Paratypes: 3 ♀, same collection data as holotype. The holotype and paratypes were deposited in New Zealand Arthropod Collection, Landcare Research, Auckland, New Zealand. Adult Female (n= 4) Gnathosoma. (Fig. 1, 3 A, 6) 415 (415���425) long, 283 (277���283) wide. Rostral shield deeply cleft medially with 2 forked projections on each side. Idiosoma widest at posterior margin of propodosoma, narrowing abruptly at base of opisthosoma, then expanding posteriorly. PRODORSUM smooth, divided into 5 regions, bearing 3 pairs of prodorsal setae (v 2, sc 1 and sc 2) and 2 pairs of eyes (Figs. 1, 6). Setae v 2 and sc 1 setiform, sc 2 broadly lanceolate; lengths: v 2 7, sc 1 7 (7���8), sc 2 61 (61���67); distances: v 2 ��� v 2 54 (53���54), sc 1 ��� sc 1 136 (132���137), sc 1 ��� sc 2 40 (40���47), sc 2 ��� sc 2 222 (222���232). HYSTEROSOMA bearing 3 pairs of dorsalcentral setae (c 1, d 1 and e 1), 1 pair of humeral seta c 3 and 5 pairs of dorsolateral setae (d 3, e 3, f 3, h 2 and h 1). Triangular body projections present anterior to setae h 2 and h 1 on each side, and a broadly truncated projection between setae h 1 (Fig. 1, 6). Setae c 1, d 1 and e 1 setiform, subequal in length; setae d 3 lanceolate, c 3 leaf-like and about half as long as setae vR on trochanter III, and e 3, f 3, h 2 and h 1 broadly lanceolate, subequal in length and about 7 times as long as setae d 3. All coxal setae setiform. Seta 1 a and posterior medioventral seta 4 a flagelliform, anterior medioventral seta 3 a setiform. Length of 1 a and 4 a subequal, approximately 3.5 times as long as seta 3 a (Fig. 4 C). Lengths: 1a 77 (70���77), 3a 20 (20���22), 4a 71 (70���71). Genital and ventral plates with flap of cuticles as shown in Fig. 3 B, bearing 1 pair of aggenital setae ag and 2 pairs of gential setae (g 1 and g 2), setiform, g 1 and g 2 subequal. Most dorsal and lateral setae on trochanters, femora, genua and tibiae lanceolate, dorsal setae d on femora I and II broadly lanceolate and lateral setae l' on genua and tibiae setiform; ventral setae v setiform except on femora I and II barbed. Lateral setae l" on tibiae I���IV as long as corresponding tibiae. Setae ft ����� on tarsi I���IV flagelliform, much longer than others and about 1.5 times as long as corresponding tarsi; ft������ setiform; unguinal setae u pectinate and equal in length.
