Abstract

The scalar problem of diffraction of an infinitely short pulse by a plane screen is solved within Kirchhoff's approximation. The response of an infinitely small aperture is calculated, and the explicit solution is found for the case of a circular aperture. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
