Günümüz tekstil ve hazır giyim sektöründe artan rekabetin yanı sıra, kar paylarının gittikçe düşmesi sonucunda, üreticiler katma değeri yüksek fonksiyonel ürünleri düşük üretim maliyetleri ile gerçekleştirmek zorunda kalmaktadırlar. Terbiye işlemlerinin en önemli aşaması, en son işlem olan bitim işlemleridir. Kumaşlara farklı tutum özellikleri kazandırma, su-yağ iticilik ve buruşmazlık sağlama, kirin kolay uzaklaştırılması vb. gibi birçok fonksiyonel özellikler bitim işlemleriyle kazandırılabilmektedir. Bunun yanında giysi konforunun da olumsuz yönde etkilenmemesi gerekmektedir. Kumaşlara kullanılacağı yere ve istenen özelliklere bağlı olarak uygulanan kimyasal işlemler, ürünlerin özelliklerini geliştirmekte, daha fonksiyonlu ve konforlu giysilerin üretilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu konuda her geçen gün artan talepler ve rekabet, üreticilerin daha fazla çaba göstermelerini ve araştırma geliştirme yapmalarını zorunlu kılmaktadır. Multifonksiyonel kumaşların nasıl üretilebileceği sorusu son yıllarda önemli bir araştırma alanı haline dönüşmüştür. Artan bilgi birikimi ve kimya alanındaki gelişmeler daha fonksiyonel ürünlerin üretilebilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bitim işlemleri olarak buruşmazlık ve yumuşak tutum müşteriler tarafından istenilen özelliklerin başında gelmekte ve çok ilgi görmektedir. Ayrıca antibakteriyel tekstiller ve uygulamalar gün geçtikçe daha çok önem kazanmaktadır. Tekstildeki uygulamalar genellikle kumaşa sadece tek bir fonksiyonun kazandırılması şeklinde gerçekleşmektedir. Birden fazla özellik istenildiğinde, işlemler birkaç aşamada yapılmakta ve çok maliyetli olmaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında tüketicilerin beklentileri karşılayacak tutum ve kullanım konfor özelliklerine sahip hem buruşmaz hem antibakteriyel multifonksiyonel pamuklu kumaş elde edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Proje kapsamında birden fazla fonksiyon bir adımda kazandırılarak enerji, zaman ve su tasarrufu ile birlikte üretim maliyetlerinin de düşürülmesi hedeflenmektedir. Yumuşatıcı olarak doğal bir ürün olan ipek protein uygulaması ilk defa denenmiştir. Proje kapsamında elde edilecek multifonksiyonel kumaşların aynı zamanda iyi bir tutum ve yıkama dayanımına sahip olması da amaçlanmıştır., The producers have to make functional products of high added value with low production costs because of increasing competition and decreasing profit shares in today's textile and apparel sector. The most important step of chemical treatments is the last one, finishing step. Many functional properties such as different handles, water-oil repellency, wrinkle resistance, stain repellency can be given to the fabrics by finishing processes. Besides these properties, wearing comforts mustn't be negatively affected. Chemical treatments that are suitable for the end-use and demanded properties are applied to the fabrics; they develop the product characteristics and enable to produce more functional and comfortable clothes. In this field, the demands and competitions increase day by day and they force the producers to struggle more and make research and development works. How to produce multifunctional fabrics has been an important research field in recent years. For this purpose, increasing knowledge and improvements in chemistry enable to produce more functional materials. Wrinkle-resistantance and soft touch are most requested features by customers. Antimicrobial textiles and applications also become more and more important day by day. Customers are very interested in such kind of products. Textile applications are generally made to give single function to the fabric. When more than one functionalities are needed, treatments are performed in more than one step and their costs are very high. In this thesis, both durable press and antibacterial multifunctional cotton fabrics are aimed to be produced. Multifunctional cotton fabrics also meet expectations of consumers in terms of soft touch and easy care. In the scope of this project, more than one function will be given to the cotton fabric in only one single step by energy, time and water savings and thus production costs will be reduced. In this study, the silk protein which is a natural product will be firstly used as softner in textile applications. The multifunctional fabrics having these properties should also have good handle, softness and washing resistance.
