Abstract

The article presents a study on the isolation of flavonoids and sesquiterpene lactones from Anthemis ruthenica (A. ruthenica) that grows in Serbia. It states that a combined silica gel column chromatography (CC) and preparative thin layer chromatography (TLC) obtain seven sesquiterpene lactones including germacranolides, flavonols, and eudesmanolides. It says that proton magnetic resonance (PMR) spectroscopy revealed lactones as the major constituents of the surface extracts.
