Abstract

The article focuses on the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) which is highly reactive to several chemotherapeutic agents. A three-drug combination chemotherapy, which constitutes of gemcitabine, paclitaxel, and carboplatin, was proposed to treat patients with metastatic NPC. In the study of 28 patients, it notes that toxicities generally came from bone marrow suppression including neutropenia, anemia, and thrombocytopenia.
