During studies carried out in the period from 2020 to 2021 on the territory of Dagestan, new information about the distribution of six rare bat species was obtained. Trapping confirmed the habitat of Myotis alcathoe in the northern part of the Eastern Caucasus. New findings of M. emarginatus (and of the former) were made exclusively in the foothills of Central Dagestan and are mostly represented by large brood colonies. In two species of the genus Barbastella, the wintering places and distribution in Dagestan (which covers a vast territory from the southern borders of the republic to the latitude of Kizilyurt in the north) were established. In Rhinolophus mehelyi, a sharp decrease in the number in the famous Karabudakhkent Cave was noted. New findings of Tadarida teniotis confirm its wide distribution on the territory of the republic. This species was found for the first time at an altitude of 3763 m above sea level; thus, a new record for the altitude limit of its habitat was established. For the species M. emarginatus, B. barbastellus, and T. teniotis, the characteristics of echolocation signals are given. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
