Abstract

The article offers information regarding the n-alkanes found in the needle waxes of picea omorika in China. It states that variability in concentration of n-alkanes is used in chemotaxonomic investigations of many conifers and flowering plants. Among the processes involved include plant material extraction, isolation and gas chromatography.
