Abstract

The article presents a study which shows the prototype of a predictive model (PM) capable of determining both magnitudes of deforestation and its spatial articulation into patterns of forest fragmentation. It mentions that the PM establishes an explicit behavioral foundation for algorithm development, predicated on ideas of the peasant economy and on household production theory. It cites that results are subjected to both error assessment and sensitivity analysis.
