Objetivo: Levantar dados sobre os impactos dos agrotóxicos à saúde do agricultor. Justificativa: A importância dessa pesquisa está nos efeitos sobre a saúde humana, através do uso dos agrotóxicos, que, de acordo com a Organização Mundial da Saúde, ocorrem no mundo cerca de 3 milhões de intoxicações agudas, e, em casos extremos, chegam a provocar anomalias genéticas, tumores e câncer. Metodologia: o estudo foi desenvolvido por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, com abordagem qualitativa, reunindo dados de materiais disponíveis virtualmente em bases de dados de pesquisas científicas. Resultados: Pode-se concluir que, ao longo dos anos, o homem tem apresentado um comportamento inconsequente perante o uso dos pesticidas. Inicialmente, esse fato tinha como motivo a falta de conhecimento acerca dos danos gerados por esses produtos, mas, atualmente, ele se deve à prioridade dada à produtividade e ao lucro financeiro em detrimento do bem-estar do ser humano e da sustentabilidade ambiental. Introduction: The socio-environmental impacts of the indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers have become increasingly evident: food contamination, human and animal poisoning, emergence of pesticide resistant pests, contamination of groundwater, groundwater, soil impoverishment and, risks to human health. Objective: To collect data on the impacts of agrochemicals on farmers' health. Rationale: The importance of this research focuses on the effects on human health of the use of pesticides, which according to the World Health Organization, around 3 million acute poisonings occur in the world, and in extreme cases, Methodology: the study was developed through a bibliographical research, with a qualitative approach, gathering data from materials available in virtually scientific research databases. Results: It can be concluded that, over the years, man has presented an inconsequential behavior towards the use of pesticides. Initially this fact was due to a lack of knowledge about the damages generated by these products, but today it is due to the priority given to productivity and financial profit to the detriment of human well-being and environmental sustainability.

Os objetivos secundários compreendem a descrição e classificação dos riscos oriundos do mau desenvolvimento ergonômico do processo laboral. A bibliografia considera a agricultura como uma das áreas laborais onde o trabalhador tem maior probabilidade de enfrentar problemas ergonômicos de alto risco devido atividades que demandam grandes esforços físicos, movimentos repetitivos e postura rígida. Essas atividades nem sempre são realizadas de modo seguro e adequado à saúde do trabalhador, o que culmina em diversas doenças e lesões advindas desse processo. Assim a aplicação da ergonomia aperfeiçoaria e adequaria o desempenho nas atividades proporcionando um ambiente de trabalho seguro e melhor qualidade de vida, visto que diminuiria a probabilidade de doenças e lesões. Nessa perspectiva considera-se a necessidade de maiores pesquisas nesse contexto para uma maior ênfase dessa classe trabalhadora. With the theme of ergonomics in rural workers, the objective of this study was to highlight the ergonomic risks in the labor activity of rural workers. The secondary objectives comprise the description and classification of the risks arising from the poor ergonomic development of the labor process. The bibliography considers agriculture as one of the labor areas where the worker is more likely to face high-risk ergonomic problems due to activities that require large physical exertion, repetitive movements and rigid posture. These activities are not always carried out in a safe and adequate way to the health of the worker, which culminates in several diseases and injuries arising from this process. Thus, the application of ergonomics would improve and adapt the performance in the activities, providing a safe working environment and better quality of life, since it would reduce the probability of diseases and injuries. From this perspective, we consider the need for further research in this context for greater emphasis on this working class.

Em algumas plantas, componentes secundários do néctar ou pólen podem ser tóxicos ou repelentes para seus polinizadores. Neste sentido, este trabalho buscou informações sobre o comportamento da longevidade de abelhas africanizadas frente a adição do macerado de flores de Datura stramonium L. Var. tatula (L.) Torr a dieta conhecida por “cândi”, nas concentrações de: 0,25%, 0,50% e 1,0%. Para tanto, foram realizados bioensaios no Laboratório de Entomologia da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, Campus de Pombal. Utilizou flores de Aspidosperma pyrifollium secas e trituradas. O pó das flores foi pesado em três frações diferentes (0,25%, 0,50% e 1,0%) e adicionado ao candi e água. As operarias recém emergidas foram distribuídas em conjunto de 20 insetos por caixa de madeira medindo 11 cm de comprimento por 11 de largura e 7 cm de altura, em três repetições e o controle, perfazendo 12 caixas e 240 abelhas operárias, foram acondicionadas em B. O. D com temperatura ajustada a 32º C e umidade de 70 %. O grupo controle recebeu apenas o candi e água. Diante dos resultados obtidos com a pesquisa pode-se observar que as abelhas do controle permaneceram vivas até os 23 dias atingindo uma média estatística de 21 dias e para as tratadas com 0,25%, 0,50% e 1,0% respectivamente apresentaram mortalidade aos 09, 08 e 07 dias. A análise dos dados mostrou diferenças estatísticas significativas entre os tratamentos e o controle, sugerindo efeito tóxico do macerado de obtido a partir de flores de Datura stramonium L. Var. tatula (L.) Torr. para operárias de abelhas africanizadas Apis mellifera. Pollination of plants by insects, mainly bees, contributed to the evolution of both groups concomitantly. In some plants, minor components of nectar or pollen can be toxic or repellent to their pollinators. In this sense, this work sought information on the longevity behavior of Africanized bees in comparison to the addition of the maceration of flowers of Datura stramonium L. Var. Tatula (L.) Torr diet known as "Cândi" at concentrations of: 0.25%, 0.50% and 1.0%. For that, bioassays were performed at the Entomology Laboratory of the Federal University of Campina Grande, Pombal Campus. It used dry and crushed Aspidosperma pyrifollium flowers. The powder of the flowers was weighed into three different fractions (0.25%, 0.50% and 1.0%) and added to the candi and water. The newly emerged workers were distributed in a set of 20 insects per wooden box measuring 11 cm in length by 11 in width and 7 cm in height in three replicates and the control, comprising 12 boxes and 240 worker bees, were conditioned in BO D with temperature set at 32 ° C and humidity of 70%. The control group received only the candi and water. Considering the results obtained with the research, it can be observed that the control bees remained alive until the 23 days reaching a statistical average of 21 days and for those treated with 0.25%, 0.50% and 1.0% respectively presented mortality at 09, 08 and 07 days. The data analysis showed statistically significant differences between the treatments and the control, suggesting toxic effect of macerate obtained from flowers of Datura stramonium L. Var. tatula (L.) Torr. for female beekeepers Apis mellifera.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar, a partir de publicações brasileiras, os riscos ocupacionais e as doenças do trabalho na agricultura. Foi realizado uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com busca na base de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e no Portal do Medical Publisher a partir da combinação no uso dos Descritores Controlados em Ciências da Saúde: Riscos Ocupacionais e Agricultura. Foram identificadas 171 publicações e nove constituíram a amostra final. Após realização da pesquisa, foram identificados os seguintes riscos ocupacionais em ordem de importância: químicos, físicos, ergonômicos, psicossociais e de acidentes. Quanto às doenças vinculadas ao trabalho agrícola e decorrentes da exposição a tais fatores, destacaram-se lesões musculoesqueléticas, câncer, doença da folha do tabaco verde, doenças mentais, cansaço físico, cansaço mental, entre outras. Foi possível identificar alguns riscos inerentes a atividade agrícola e sua contribuição ao surgimento de agravos a saúde do trabalhador envolvido em atividades agrícolas. De posse dos achados, é fundamental adotar estratégias de promoção e vigilância a saúde deste grupo. Few studies in the agricultural sector contemplating the health bias and aspects of work to the detriment of the economic one is still scarce. This paper aims to identify, from Brazilian publications, occupational risks and diseases of work in agriculture. An integrative review of the literature was carried out, with a search in the Virtual Health Library database and in the Medical Publisher Portal, based on the combination of the Controlled Descriptors in Health Sciences: Occupational Risks and Agriculture. We identified 171 publications and nine were the final sample. After conducting the research, the following occupational hazards were identified in order of importance: chemical, physical, ergonomic, psychosocial and accident hazards. As for the diseases linked to agricultural work and due to exposure to such factors, musculoskeletal injuries, cancer, green tobacco leaf disease, mental illness, physical fatigue, mental fatigue, among others, were highlighted. It was possible to identify some risks inherent in agricultural activity and its contribution to the emergence of health problems of workers engaged in agricultural activities. Given the findings, it is fundamental to adopt health promotion and surveillance strategies for this group.

Sabendo que a agricultura é uma atividade de estrita e direta relação com a natureza e que a sustentabilidade se tornou a preocupação central da sociedade pós-industrial, esta pesquisa objetivou avaliar e comparar a sustentabilidade dos produtores e não produtores de pimenta do município de Quixaba-PB. Os dados utilizados foram de origem primária, obtidos por meio de entrevistas realizadas junto à 36 agricultores familiares, com o auxílio de roteiros estruturados. Para a análise, os dados foram segmentados em três grupos para comparação: geral, produtores de pimenta e não produtores de pimenta, em seguida foram tabulados e as frequências calculadas, bem como os índices de qualidade de vida, capital social e ambiental, a partir dos quais foi calculado o índice de Sustentabilidade. O índice de sustentabilidade geral foi 0,557, enquanto que para produtores de pimenta foi 0,582 e para não produtores de pimenta foi 0,536. O índice de qualidade vida geral foi 0,540, para produtores de pimenta foi 0,549 e para não produtores de pimenta foi 0,531. O índice ambiental geral foi 0,627, para produtores de pimenta foi 0,614 e para não produtores de pimenta foi 0,637. O índice de capital social, que no geral se obteve 0,506, foi o que mais se diferenciou na comparação entre produtores e não produtores de pimenta, com 0,582 e 0,439 respectivamente, sendo considerado baixo neste último. As limitações da pesquisa estão relacionadas à simplificação da realidade, característica dos indicadores e índices, e das coletas de dados se basearem em declarações provenientes dos próprios agricultores e familiares acerca de um contexto dinâmico e complexo, mas ainda assim os índices e indicadores permitem constatar causa e efeitos quantitativos e qualitativos. A melhoria destes resultados depende de investimentos em infraestrutura de lazer, de acesso às escolas e à atendimento médico, bem como incentivos e a promoção de capacitações sobre associativismo, questões sanitárias e práticas agroecológicas. The cultivation of peppers is considered an adequate alternative to the molds of family agriculture, which makes possible the verticalization of the productive chain and contributes to the rural economic development, fixing the small producers with dignity in their properties, generating employment and income. It is known that agriculture is an activity of strict and direct relation with nature and that sustainability has become the central concern of the post-industrial society, this research aimed to assess and compare the sustainability of the producers and non-producers of pepper of the municipality of Quixaba-PB. The data used were of primary origin, obtained through interviews with 36 family farmers, using structured questionnaires. The data were segmented into producers in general, pepper producers and non-pepper producers for comparative analysis, tabulated and calculated frequencies, as well as indexes of quality of life, social capital and environmental, from which the index was calculated of sustainability. The overall sustainability index was 0.557, while for pepper producers it was 0.582 and for nonpepper producers it was 0.536. The overall life quality index was 0.540, for pepper producers it was 0.549 and for non-pepper producers it was 0.531. The overall environmental index was 0.627, for pepper producers it was 0.614 and for non-pepper producers it was 0.637. The social capital index, which was generally 0.506, was the one that most differed in the comparison between producers and non-pepper producers, with 0.582 and 0.439 respectively, being considered low in the latter. The limitations of the research are related to the simplification of the reality, characteristic of the indicators and indexes, and the data collections are based on statements from the farmers and their families about a dynamic and complex context, but still the indices and indicators allow to verify cause and quantitative and qualitative effects. The improvement of these results depends on investments in leisure infrastructure, access to schools and medical care, as well as incentives and the promotion of training on associativism, sanitary issues and agroecological practices.

Sobre a criação de abelhas vale ressaltar que trata-se de uma prática desenvolvida nos mais diversos estados brasileiros e, particularmente, no estado da Paraíba já que a atividade apícola se apresenta como uma possibilidade real de agregação de renda, a baixo custo, além de contar com o apoio dos órgãos oficiais de financiamento. Diante do exposto viu-se a necessidade de se realizar uma pesquisa que contemple as variáveis social, ambiental e econômica e a partir daí traçar um perfil claro e coerente desta atividade e os seus benefícios à Associação de Produtores, especificamente, da agricultura familiar. Nessa perspectiva, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar o perfil socioeconômico dos trabalhadores cadastrados nas Associações de Apicultores e Pecuaristas do município de Vieirópolis–PB. Para isso foi aplicado um questionário envolvendo questões sobre educação, faixa etária, origem e início da atividade agropecuária. Os dados primários para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa foram obtidos mediante aplicação de questionários e entrevistas semiestruturados, aplicados diretamente aos produtores e lideranças (presidentes das Associações de Apicultores e pecuaristas). Já os dados secundários foram obtidos com auxílio de uma pesquisa em sites como o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE); Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio ás Micro e Pequenas Empresas (SEBRAE); Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB); Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA); Ministério de Meio Ambiente (MMA); Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior (MDIC). Conclui-se que a atividade é mais desenvolvida na faixa etária entre 22 e 59 anos; a origem da maioria dos apicultores e pecuaristas é proveniente da zona rural do município; a maior média, quando avaliado o estado civil, se deu para casados; quanto ao grau de instrução a maior parte dos apicultores e pecuaristas apenas concluiu o Ensino Fundamental I; o contato de 85% dos associados com a atividade agropecuária teve início da infância ou adolescência. Apesar deste percentual, as atividades são praticadas como a segunda fonte de renda dos associados de Vieirópolis-PB. The socioeconomic and environmental importance of the Association of Beekeepers in the Municipality of Vieirópolis-PB is the theme for the development of this work. It is worth mentioning that beekeeping is a practice developed in the most diverse Brazilian states and, particularly, in the state of Paraíba, since the beekeeping activity presents itself as a real possibility of aggregating income, at low cost, besides be supported by official funding bodies. In view of the above, it was necessary to carry out a research that contemplates the social, environmental and economic variables and from there to draw a clear and coherent profile of this activity and its benefits to the Association of Producers, specifically, of family agriculture. In this perspective, the objective of this work was to analyze the socioeconomic profile of the workers enrolled in the Associations of Beekeepers and Cattlemen of the municipality of Vieirópolis-PB. For this, a questionnaire was applied involving questions about education, age group, origin and beginning of agricultural activity. The primary data for the development of this research were obtained through the application of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, applied directly to producers and leaderships (presidents of Beekeepers and Cattlemen Associations). The secondary data were obtained with the aid of a survey on sites such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE); Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Companies (SEBRAE); Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB); Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA); Ministry of the Environment (MMA); Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC). It is concluded that the activity is more developed in the age group between 22 and 59 years; the origin of most beekeepers and cattle ranchers comes from the rural area of the municipality; the highest average, when assessed the marital status, was given to married; as to education level, most beekeepers and cattle ranchers only completed Elementary School I; the contact of 85% of the associates with the agricultural activity began from childhood or adolescence. Despite this percentage, the activities are practiced as the second source of income of Vieirópolis-PB associates.

Por este motivo, este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar a conjuntura do agronegócio brasileiro, suas perspectivas e dificuldades. Já o Brasil é um país que possui as melhores condições de operar em larga escala no agronegócio mundial traz com isso um representativo cenário nacional como segmento relevante na geração de divisas e emprego. Dessa forma, torna-se necessário considerar a existência de economias de escala nos segmentos produtivos, uma vez que a expansão dos mercados de exportação pode provocar um incentivo na empregabilidade e inovação para o setor da agricultura moderna. E como tal, envolve os mais variados segmentos de produção, que, interligados entre si, possuem funções próprias, tais como serviços, máquinas e insumos, inclusive no âmbito do marketing rural. Logo, as novas demandas do mercado, fornecem melhores serviços e produtos, combinadas a uma concorrência dramaticamente elevada, exigem uma mudança de paradigma na maneira como as organizações são projetadas e, portanto, a determinação de metas de desempenho para a função como as indicadas dentro de um plano de marketing, financeiro ou de operações. E por fim, o agribusiness engloba: os fornecedores de bens e serviços à agricultura, os produtores agrícolas, os processadores, transformadores e distribuidores envolvidos na geração e no fluxo dos produtos agrícolas até o consumidor final. In the economic scenario, agribusiness determined a new form for agriculture, showing that it is not possible to solve the problems faced by that segment, without, however, correlating it to the other sectors involved in its production. For this reason, this work aims to study the Brazilian agribusiness situation, its perspectives and difficulties. While Brazil is a country with the best conditions to operate on a large scale in the world agribusiness, it brings with it a representative national scenario as a relevant segment in the generation of foreign exchange and employment. Thus, it is necessary to consider the existence of economies of scale in the productive segments, since the expansion of export markets can provoke an incentive in employability and innovation for the modern agriculture sector. In addition, as such, it involves the most varied segments of production, which, interconnected with each other, have their own functions, such as services, machinery and inputs, including in the field of rural marketing. Hence, new market demands, providing better services and products, coupled with dramatically high competition, require a paradigm shift in the way organizations are designed and thus the determination of performance goals for the function as indicated in Of a marketing, financial or operations plan.
