O presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar a eficácia do StorySign como uma ferramenta de Tecnologia Assistiva (TA) no ensino e aprendizagem de pessoas surdas. O método do estudo consistiu na avaliação do aplicativo StorySign em um iPhone 13 Pro, com foco em análise prática de usabilidade e análise técnica seguindo a norma ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 9126-1: 2003, cobrindo funcionalidade, confiabilidade, eficiência, manutenibilidade e portabilidade. Realizada por dois pesquisadores independentes ao longo de sete dias, contou com a intervenção de um terceiro pesquisador em casos de divergência para assegurar a imparcialidade da avaliação. Constatou-se que o aplicativo StorySign apresenta aspectos positivos, como gratuidade, facilidade de uso e eficácia do avatar interativo, mas também desafios como a necessidade de um livro físico, limitação de títulos literários e dependência de Internet. O aplicativo demonstrou potencial para inclusão educacional e social dos surdos, enfrentando limitações técnicas, principalmente na manutenibilidade, devido à indisponibilidade do código-fonte. Conclui-se que StorySign apresenta um potencial significativo para promover a alfabetização bilíngue e a inclusão social e educacional de surdos e ouvintes.

Brazil stands out in the world for being one of the largest producers and consumers of common beans and cowpeas. However, the cultivation of this agricultural species is exposed to competition with weeds for water, light and nutrients. One of the management methods for weed control is the use of pre-emergent herbicides. Although pre-emergence herbicides are beneficial in controlling weeds, it is important to know the dynamics of these products in the soil, especially their residual effect. Two experiments were carried out to assess the tolerance of bean genotypes to the pre-emergent herbicide S-metolachlor in two Brazilian soils. Bean genotypes have differential tolerance to S-metolachlor when grown in soils with different characteristics. The Vigna spp. were the most affected by S-metolachlor, especially the red Adzuki. Plant growth was more sensitive when grown in sandy soil for most species. Total chlorophyll content was not affected for most genotypes in the two soils evaluated. The differential tolerance of the genotypes in both soils confirms the potential of S-metolachlor to cause damage to the bean crop, especially in sandy soil. The S-metolachlor was efficient in controlling sourgrass and selective to the bean cultivars (Pérola and Talismã) in both soils evaluated. Alexandergrass behaved differently in the soils evaluated, showing tolerance to the application of S-metolachlor when in Oxisol and sensitivity in Ultisol.

El objetivo de este trabajo fue comparar el poder de neutralización de enmiendas calcáreo- magnésicas y evaluar su efecto sobre el complejo de intercambio catiónico en suelos de la pampa llana santafesina. Para ello, se aplicaron tres enmiendas (caliza, dolomita y enmienda mezcla) a dos dosis (neutralización del 100% y 150% del hidrógeno de intercambio). Se evaluó: pH actual, pH potencial, hidrógeno, calcio y magnesio intercambiable luego de 60 días de incubación. El pH actual no mostró diferencias entre dosis, mientras que el incremento de pH de las enmiendas fue caliza > dolomita > mezcla. El pH potencial fue más sensible al tipo de enmienda y dosis. Todos los tratamientos redujeron el nivel de insaturación, aunque ninguno neutralizó la totalidad del hidrógeno intercambiable. En relación con el calcio intercambiable, todos los tratamientos produjeron aumentos y la mayor saturación cálcica se obtuvo con la aplicación de caliza o enmienda mezcla con la dosis necesaria para neutralizar 1,5 veces el hidrógeno intercambiable. En cuanto al magnesio, las enmiendas dolomita y mezcla aumentaron significativamente el contenido independientemente de la dosis. La información aquí presentada es de utilidad para la prescripción de enmiendas calcáreo- magnésica en los suelos de la Pampa llana santafesina.

El permeado de suero (PS) podría usarse como abono y reponer nutrientes al suelo; pero su tenor salino y de sodio puede dañarlo. Se evaluó la respuesta de maíz para silo y alfalfa en Natrustol típico a dosis entre 30 y 120 m 3 PS/ha en el centro este de Córdoba (Argentina). Se midió producción, propiedades físicas y químicas del suelo hasta 30 cm. No se observó un incremento en la producción; sí en el contenido de Nt, P, Ca y Na intercambiable; sin diferencias en MO, CIC, K intercambiable, salinidad y pH. El Nt y P son móviles en el perfil por lo que existe riesgo de contaminar la napa freática. Con las mayores dosis se observó que se deteriora la estabilidad de agregados, la conductividad hidráulica (Ks) y el intervalo hídrico óptimo (IHO). Se aconseja usar dosis de 30 a 60 m 3 /ha de PS, midiendo la composición del mismo que es muy variable y monitorear Nt, P y Na en el perfil; así como Ks y la densidad para estimar el IHO.

Rhizobia are able to increase yield of non-leguminous species through production of phyto-stimulating substances. This study aimed to evaluate the inoculation effect of rhizobia UFRGS Lc348 and VP16 on millet and Sudan grass yield and germination, and verify the enrichment effect of culture medium with tryptophan, which leads on the rhizobium/plant interaction. Experiments in vitro and greenhouse conditions were conducted. In millet, the inoculation with VP16 grown in culture medium with or without tryptophan induces greater length of hypocotyl and epicotyl under in vitro conditions. UFRGS Lc348 treatment induces longer hypocotyls of millet under in vitro conditions. No effects were observed with the millet inoculation in greenhouse. In Sudan grass, inoculation with VP16 enriched with tryptophan increased dry matter in shoots of adult plants. In millet seedlings had achieved an increasing in elongation in vitro conditions, which could represent an adaptive advantage in the search for water and nutrients in the rhizospheric environment during the initial growth of millet. Similarly, if verified in field conditions, Sudan grass had achieved an increasing in greenhouse conditions with the inoculation of tryptophan-enriched VP16, which could be correlated with a significant gain in crop yield. Therefore, these relationships between tryptophan-enriched VP16 and Sudan grass should be verified in subsequent studies under field conditions.

Se evaluó el uso de Residuos Líquidos Orgánicos (RLO) de la industria láctea como mejorador de suelos de baja aptitud productiva de Santa Fe (Argentina). En un Natracualf típico sin cultivos, se aplicaron 6.600 kg materia orgánica/ha/año de RLO (2010 a 2014) comparándose con un lote testigo. Hubo aporte signifi cativo de materia orgánica (MO), nitrógeno (Nt), fósforo (P); calcio (Ca) y azufre (S) al suelo. El Nt y P se lavaron en profundidad debido a que no hubo extracción por cultivos. La adición de Ca originó reducción del contenido de sodio en el perfi l del suelo, así como de potasio (K) y magnesio (Mg). Con RLO cambió negativamente conductividad hidráulica, intervalo hídrico óptimo, arcilla dispersa en agua y densidad de suelo. Se requiere de una mínima remoción del suelo, rotación de cultivos y agregado de Mg para uso agronómico de RLO proponiéndose las propiedades evaluadas para monitorear.

En la región central de Santa Fe, durante los días 7 y 8 de junio del año 2012 se produjeron heladas advectivas de gran intensidad y duración. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue caracterizar los daños por heladas y el comportamiento vegetativo y reproductivo de diferentes variedades de cítricos, durante la siguiente estación de crecimiento. En las plantaciones se reportaron pérdidas de fruta, defoliaciones y hasta muerte de plantas. La brotación del siguiente ciclo (y) estuvo inversamente relacionada con la defoliación (x) producida (y=146,32-0,92x). Se observó una reducida intensidad de floración con predominio de brotes vegetativos y generativos con hojas. El cuajado de los frutos aumentó entre un 69 a 92% en relación con los valores medios de la zona, a excepción de las mandarinas. El rendimiento alcanzado por cada variedad luego de los daños por fuertes heladas se relacionó con su intensidad de floración media en la zona. Las variedades que normalmente desarrollan intensidades de floración superiores a 250 flores cada 100 nudos en años sin fuertes heladas presentaron un rendimiento superior a su valor promedio. En cambio, aquellas que normalmente presentan menores intensidades de floración tuvieron disminuciones de rendimiento entre un 26,3 y 84,5% respecto de su valor medio.

The development of researches about vigor provides greater insight about the physiological behavior of seeds over storage periods. The aim of this study was to evaluate the biochemical changes which occurred in beans stored for 360 days. Analyses were performed at 0, 30, 90, 180, 270, and 360 days after receiving the seeds (S1 and S2) and grains (G1 and G2) of BRS Splendor. The following tests were conducted: water content, electrical conductivity, and chemical composition of the soaking solution, where sugars and ions Fe2+, Zn, Ca2+, Mg2+ and K+ were quantified. The experimental design was completely randomized split-plot and means were compared through Tukey test (p>0.05). Water content decreased after 90 days, and after 180 days reached an average of 16%. The electrical conductivity showed the greatest loss of solute after 90 days. Larger amounts of soluble sugars were found in S1 and G1. The quantities of potassium and calcium decreased after 360 days, while magnesium increased after 90 days of storage. The electrical conductivity test showed no direct relation to the quantification of the investigated ions. The amount and behavior of amino acids and studied ions did not showed relation to the decrease in vigor of beans.
