The article "On the Legitimacy of Aesthetic Medicine" discusses the significance of social metabolism in the development of diseases and emphasizes the adaptability of individuals to their specific environment. It is pointed out that the fashion and cosmetics industry satisfy diverse needs of people and that this is not possible without manipulation. Aesthetic medicine focuses on age-related changes in the skin and contours in order to regain lost vitality from the fight against aging. It is emphasized that adapting to aesthetic values is normative behavior and that beauty can also be nurtured and created with natural products. The ethical permissibility of aesthetic corrections is also discussed, particularly in relation to correcting damage to harmony or aging, disabilities, and the consequences of injuries. The article discusses the issue of controlled interventions in the brain and changes in identity related to aesthetic procedures. It is emphasized that such interventions can weaken the immune system and affect energy balance. It is recommended to consult a competent doctor who keeps the level of intervention as low as possible. Furthermore, various minimally invasive aesthetic therapy forms such as fillers, botulinum treatments, and laser treatments are mentioned. It is also noted that anti-aging effects can be achieved through systemic therapies targeting mitochondrial renewal. The article emphasizes the importance of balanced decision-making and a critical approach to aesthetic procedures. [Extracted from the article]
