Abstract

A case study of a 75-year-old woman with who developed acute limbic encephalitis having leucine-rich glioma inactivated-1 protein (LGI-1) antibody associated with the disease is presented. The patients was hospitalized for treatment and etiological diagnosis of generalized tonic-clonic seizures and medical history of the patient revealed complex partial epilepsy and rapidly progressive cognitive disorder. Lumbar puncture of the patient showed discrete intrathecal immunoglobulin G synthesis.
