Abstract: The article presents a pre-/poststudy comparing surgical and nonsurgical treatment. The study aims to identify the role of orthopedic spinal surgery in improving life satisfaction and self-esteem in patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. It reveals the effectivity of surgical correction of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis in eligible patients in leading to curve correction and in increasing self-esteem and life satisfaction.
