Abstract

The article presents information on a study which analyzes the impact of exercise and altitude-induced increase in pulmonary artery pressures on left ventricular (LV) diastolic function in patients with high-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE). The study included 29 HAPE susceptible (HAPE-S) and 10 control subjects.
