The article discusses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the treatment of patients with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in India. It highlights changes in AML management strategies, such as a decrease in overall patient registrations at large referral centers and an increase in smaller centers. Despite these changes, survival outcomes remained comparable to pre-pandemic levels, attributed to improved infection control measures and maintaining treatment protocols. The study emphasizes the feasibility of standard AML care during the pandemic, underscoring the importance of continuing treatment for eligible patients even in times of crisis.
