Accountant’s role moved from a static one into a key advisor of the business, due to the broad range of skills to be continuously acquired, learning and digitization opportunities. The paper attempts to provide an insight into these specific challenges, to shape the future patterns of the accounting landscape and the specific skills and knowledge to be held by accountants.
