This study examines data from a survey conducted at a U.S. public research university, focusing on students' behaviors and attitudes toward the library, both physical and online. The analysis categorizes student users and nonusers based on demographics such as full-time enrollment, first-generation status, college, and grade point average (GPA). Results indicate that first-generation students were most likely to never use the online library. Low GPA respondents visited the physical library most frequently, whereas high GPA students were more inclined to use e-resources. This paper reports on a study on delinquent acts in three academic libraries in northern Ghana. A survey method was used for the study and a questionnaire was used to collect data. The study population consisted of staff in the Reader Service Sections of the three libraries. The study found that failure to observe library regulations, keeping overdue materials, eating in the library, littering, reserving seats unjustifiably, and hiding of books for the purpose of monopoly are examples of delinquent acts practiced by library users. According to the participants, the main reasons for delinquent acts are inadequate orientation to users, insufficient copies of books, and indiscipline among library users. The respondents further reported that these actions led to a reduction in library resources and low patronage. To curb deviant behaviors in libraries, the study recommends the adoption of pragmatic approaches including massive orientation for users, imbibing positive library culture that fosters respect, bolstering commitment and cooperation among library users and the staff, increasing library budgets as well as finding more creative ways of acquiring more copies of books, such as using Open Educational Resources (OERs), belonging to consortia and building and/or enhancing existing Institutional Repositories (IR). This article provides entrepreneurs with information about library services and investigates the function of an Enhanced Business Value Calculator in identifying patrons who may be interested in participating in co-creation-driven experimental technology adoptions in libraries. By identifying the most productive users, the librarian could invite them to participate in the co-creation process, which results in more collaborative and knowledge-based technology experimentations. Patrons (high-performing users and their peers) actively participate in the design, execution, and post-experimentation phases of the experimentation process continuously through co-creation. Ongoing participation increases patron engagement, transforming patrons into library evangelists who support cooperative trials that result in novel services. The article culminates in a case study that shows how the public libraries in collaboration with the university library strategically experimented with ChatGPT to see if it might be used for its systematic literature review services for the entrepreneurs. Purpose: This exploratory study illustrated an integrated academic library supply chain (IALSC) model to design the strategic planning management tool of the academic library. The supply chain (SC) model has been widely used in manufacturing industries and has also been applied in many service industries with the same objectives. However, very few studies for academic libraries, particularly the implementation of the integrated SC model, are being executed, although it has been proven that SC management in practice can enhance stakeholder satisfaction, increase revenues and decrease total costs. The academic library also needs to be successful in providing quality products, services and information to fulfil the library users' needs within the library budget. This research aims to develop a verified model of the integrated SC for the academic library. Design/methodology/approach: This research used both qualitative and quantitative approaches to achieve its objectives. The proposed conceptual SC model, named as IALSC, for the academic library has been developed using the system thinking method; eventually, it has been validated through the fuzzy Delphi method, an expert judgement technique. Findings: The research findings could contribute to academic library management in planning and formulating a roadmap for the library to increase its quality services for all stakeholders. With academic libraries becoming increasingly involved in copyright issues, the ability to responsibly identify a copyright-protected material is becoming important in the administration of reprographic materials in academic libraries. A mixed methods approach was employed to evaluate the adequacy of copyright information or documentation, the need for training, and the mechanisms for educating library users on responsible use of reprographic materials that ensures a balance of stakeholder rights. Quantitative data was collected from 38 library staff and 530 postgraduate students, while qualitative data was collected from four head librarians (through one-on-one interview sessions), and two groups of six postgraduate students each from two public and two private universities in Ghana (through focus group discussion sessions). Only 21.4 % stated that copyright information or documentation on copyright policies on their university campuses was adequate. Copyright education for both staff and students was generally low in all the four institutions. Only "classroom training" had significant impact on users' understanding of copyright laws and policies. "Professional associations," "study visits," and "consultant training" had little impact on the understanding of students about copyright laws despite most library staff being either "comfortable" or "very comfortable" with their level of knowledge on copyright issues. There is therefore the need to incorporate copyright issues in the school curriculum for students as well as institute CPD programs for professional librarians if academic librarians are to efficiently and adequately play their roles as agents of copyright education to the university community. With the rapid pace of change and the high cost invested in information technology, it is important for academic libraries to evaluate the information technology solutions they use in their institutions to determine whether they are meeting the needs of their students, faculty, staff, and other users of their libraries and resources. This study presents the results of an online survey of Association of Research Libraries (ARL) academic library members to benchmark the assessment strategies that they used to evaluate their IT activities. Inclusiveness and honoring different cultures that reflect our patrons has been discussed in many different venues in the last few years. The staff of the Brigham Young University Library recognized the need for our metadata to demonstrate the commitment we have to honor others and to create a community of belonging. The staff also recognized that a policy would provide a roadmap for how to embark on fixing legacy metadata and how to move forward in creating metadata that reflects our core values in the library and at the university. This case study details how we developed an inclusive metadata policy and its accompanying documentation. We provide examples of how the policy is being implemented and the steps we have taken to help library staff understand cultural humility and how it can be applied in their work. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the perceived usefulness and satisfaction levels of undergraduate students with respect to university library portal services, specifically within selected universities in South-West Nigeria. Design/methodology/approach: A descriptive survey research design was used to investigate the perceived usefulness and satisfaction levels among undergraduate students regarding university library portal services. Data were collected through surveys administered to 658 undergraduate respondents across multiple universities in South-West Nigeria. Findings: The findings indicate that undergraduate students' top reasons for using the portal were for tasks such as locating research materials, accessing databases, requesting bibliographies and checking the library catalog. Library computers and school information and communication technology center computers were identified as the most preferred access point, followed by computer labs and campus Wi-Fi networks. Undergraduates rated the portals as highly useful, particularly for saving time locating resources, checking material status and patronizing the library. High satisfaction was reported for services such as attending workshops, events and receiving research support through the portals workshops. Moderate satisfaction levels existed for accessing policies/hours, the institutional repository and renewals of books online. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.785, p < 0.05) was found between perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Originality/value: This study contributes to the understanding of undergraduate students' perceptions regarding the utility and satisfaction of university library portal services in the context of South-West Nigeria. It underscores the importance of aligning portal services with students' academic and research needs to enhance overall satisfaction levels. The MINTspace, opened in 2024, is a new place for experimentation and learning at the central library of Kiel university. Equipment includes 3D printers, microscopes, AR glasses, a soldering unit and other experimental essentials to offer a variety of access paths to technical knowledge for all library users. Tailored to the needs of students of STEM subjects, it is also open to target groups beyond these disciplines. The MINTspace has become one of the core elements of the overall concept at the heart of an ongoing general remodelling of the central library to be completed by 2025. It was conceived, developed and set up in a big space formerly used for group work, in joint collaboration between staff of the Department for Learning and Teaching (physics and chemistry branch), sections of the university library and the technical building management at Kiel university. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to review an existing graphic novel collection in the curriculum materials center of an academic library. The review would result in a clear identity for the collection and guide the creation of revised collection development, management and cataloging processes. Design/methodology/approach: The physical and bibliographic identities of each individual graphic novel were reviewed and compared with collection development tools. Findings: The review revealed a mismatch between the physical and bibliographic markers applied to some graphic novels and inconsistencies in the assignment of items based on audience and literature type. At the completion of the project, 43% of the graphic novels were reassigned based on audience, literature type or both. Originality/value: There is limited research about the collection challenges and needs of graphic novels in juvenile and curriculum materials collections within academic libraries. The purpose of this study is to explore the realization of users ‘ information rights (IRs) in the smart service of university libraries. Based on the LibQUAL model, principal component analysis (PCA) is used to measure the quality of smart services in university libraries. The contribution weight of various services to the realization of IRs is calculated by analytic hierarchy process (AHP), then the degree of IR realization is obtained. Users have the highest right to express information, the lowest right to equality, and other rights tend to be moderate. Suggestions to improve the realization of IRs are put forward at the end. The purpose of this study was to investigate the gap between library users' expected and perceived library services and to examine the role of library services in developing user satisfaction and loyalty. A quantitative research design using a questionnaire was used to investigate the research objectives. Undergraduate students were selected as the population from the Information Technology University. The questionnaire was adopted from previous literature. It was pilot tested with 50 undergraduate students and found reliable. Data was collected from 304 respondents and were analyzed using SPSS (v.20) software. The study found that library users expected a high level of service in three categories, i.e., Affect of Service, Information Control, and Library as a Place, as all mean scores were higher than 7 when rated against a scale from 1 to 9. The participants reported that they were likely to consult the library and recommend it to others. The structural equation model confirmed that better services will increase users' satisfaction with the library resources and services and will lead to winning users' loyalty. The findings from the study provided useful insight into the determinants of user satisfaction and loyalty and could be useful for other academic libraries seeking ways to increase user loyalty and user satisfaction with library resources and services. AbstractThe objective of the present study was to examine the effects of using gamification implemented in immersive virtual reality for the promotion of library services in the university library including knowledge acquisition, knowledge retention and user engagement. In terms of research procedure, we divided the participants into Gamified and Non-Gamified virtual reality groups, and both groups were asked to perform the pretest questionnaire of cognitive assessments. Then, participants were informed to use virtual reality to finish all the levels within one month in the library lab setting of the university. We performed post-tests to evaluate the knowledge acquisition, including a delayed post-test of three months to verify the knowledge retention. We also collected the user data to analyze the participant behavior. Results showed no significant differences among the Gamified and Non-Gamified groups in terms of knowledge acquisition, but showed significant difference in knowledge retention and user engagement. These findings supported the presumption that the gamified virtual reality approach can improve the library user’s access and knowledge retention of library services. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper analyzes the library management systems of Government College Libraries of Karnataka to identify how well they perform and to what extent undergraduate students are satisfied with the systems in place. The descriptive questionnaire was filled by 500 respondents using Google Forms. Based on the statistics, the books and services received in the library seem to be good generally, especially regarding staff, location, and reading hall. More than 85 percent of the library users used the collection in reference for studying and writing purposes. Most are contented, but improvement opportunities exist with regard to location, operating hours, and other aspects of the library. To make the library an irreplaceable academic resource, the research emphasizes the requirement of reacting to client grievances; it concludes by advising the administration of the college and the library authorities to focus more on filling up the gaps in service delivery. The need to be environmentally friendly has spread too many areas, including how university libraries handle their resources. This study looks into how sustainable methods can be used in academic libraries, with a focus on making the best use of resources, saving energy, and reducing waste. Using a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods, the study combines the results of energy tests with the insights gained from conversations with library staff and managers. The results show that smart actions like digitization, lighting that uses less energy, and green building standards have made libraries much better for the environment. Digitization not only saves space and cuts down on paper use, but it also makes materials easier to find. Using motion monitors and LED lights has helped save a lot of energy, and green building standards have encouraged environmentally friendly building designs and methods of operation. The study also shows how important it is for stakeholders to be involved in creating a mind-set of sustainability in academia. Regular training programs and efforts have been very helpful in getting library users and staff to act in environmentally friendly ways. Adding sustainable buying policies also makes sure that resources are gathered in a good way, which helps reach bigger environmental goals. Budget problems, reluctance to change, and the need for constant tracking and review are some of the problems that come up when trying to put these sustainable practices into action. But the long-term perks, like lower costs, a better image, and following the rules, show how important sustainability is in managing university libraries. There is more and more information about sustainability practices in academic schools, and this study adds to that information. It also gives other libraries a way to start doing similar things. The objectives of the study are: To find out the availability of sources and services in the libraries of Nimar region, to know the frequency of visit of users to the library, to find out the satisfaction of users with library resources and services, & to find out the problems faced by the users while accessing the sources and services. Sample of 300 users were selected from total users four Govt. college libraries of Nimor region. Data was collected from the users using the questionnaire. Analysis of data shows that the highest number of books (93620) are available in the library of SBNGPGC. Over a third of users thirty five percent are visiting the library daily. This study aims to examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on nursing college libraries in the Indian state of Maharashtra. In all, 130 nursing colleges can be found in the Maharashtra state. We used Google Forms, email, and WhatsApp to reach out to college libraries and get their feedback. We received 110 responses in all, but we only looked at 110 of them. The results show that the COVID-19 affected the materials that university libraries had on hand. Sixteen point three percent of libraries are still closed. Paper document sales fell, whereas electronic document sales rose. The reason behind this was that the ratio of library-to-library material lending and delivery fell below 50%. Additionally, electronic resource consumption increased while physical resource utilisation declined. Quite a bit of reading material was available throughout the time the pandemic was happening. Respondents to the survey insisted that the library uses hand sanitizer, takes temperature readings, and follows social distance standards. Library employees spent their leisure time engaging in a wide range of professional development opportunities. Google Meet, Zoom, and WebEx were the three platforms used to deliver library services. This paper examines the challenges in implementing the Resource Description and Access in bibliographic records and library software. To meet this end, a survey approach was employed, and a questionnaire was used to collect the data. The statistical sample size was determined as 95 librarians from Tehran University, 48 librarians from Allameh Tabataba’i University, and 35 librarians from Tarbiat Modares University. According to the results, the respondents believe that the main problems for implementing RDA in academic libraries in Iran are, in turn: “problems in switching to new library software", "problems of not having enough information and knowledge to implement RDA", "problems in the internal communication of libraries", "data incompatibility", "lack of a trustee to apply the RDA rules", and "problem with library users". Traditional academic library models often separate public and technical services into different focus areas. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide resulted in many challenges for libraries, such as changing the landscape of the learning environment. Many libraries had to be innovative to serve their clientele amidst the challenges. A mixed-method approach was used to explore how academic libraries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic repositioned themselves to ensure that they could continue to provide services and support for their stakeholders. Some libraries encountered staff reduction; others were able to redesign services to facilitate the needs of stakeholders and keep staff during the pandemic. Within the Carib-bean, academic libraries updated their websites and social media platforms to communicate with students and staff. Also, libraries intensified the information literacy training of students to ensure they could evaluate the information being broadcast during the pandemic. Furthermore, libraries offered scanning services to meet the demands of users who experienced limited and inconsistent internet connectivity in their vicinity. Undoubtedly, many libraries and their users realised how essential librarians and library resources, especially e-resources, were to the success of institutions. There is an overwhelming need for Virtual Library and Information Services (VLIS) due to the revolutionary and innovative use of the Internet, alternate information sources, evolving institutional policies and user needs, and potential disasters like the Covid-19 outbreak that prevented access to physical libraries. This study sought to identify benefits that both users and librarians derive from VLIS usage as well as setbacks limiting VLIS provision and utilization. Mixed methods with a pragmatic research paradigm were adopted. Data from library users and staff from 2 universities, one public and one private were gathered using surveys and interviews, respectively. 394 library users and 8 library staff made up the sample size. VLIS benefits included support with coursework, e-resource remote access, instant response to users' queries, notifications of new library additions, improvement in knowledge and skills, timely access to current information, and wide access to numerous e-resources. Challenges to VLIS entailed reliance on Google, unawareness, frustrations by requests to buy or subscribe to e-resources, poor Internet connectivity, limited Information Literacy (IL) skills, restricted access to e-resources, insufficient infrastructure, high cost of eresources, poor attitude towards VLIS, lack of digital versions for local resources, and low concentration in virtual IL classes. In early March 2020, a global COVID-19 pandemic led to the closure of a large majority of academic institutions including libraries, archives, and cultural heritage institutes in North America and around the world. As we write this article, almost two years later, the situation remains critical, and most universities continue to offer online teaching while most libraries provide remote access to their resources. This article presents the results of a survey that was designed and circulated to faculty and students at US and Canadian universities in the summer of 2020. This article aims to draw a portrait of the state of research in the Summer of 2020 and seeks to understand how libraries and users customized their access to resources during the COVID-19 lockdowns. The article identifies the main challenges faced by scholars in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies to develop, pursue, or complete research projects during the pandemic, and the strategies implemented to make up for the loss of access to primary source materials and field research. The article also highlights immediate initiatives developed by academic and research libraries to support the research community, and demonstrates how these responses to the crisis matched their institution's strategies. In Brazil, there are more than 10 million Deaf people. Of these, 2,592 Deaf people are enrolled in Higher Education institutions. This pilot study aims to explore how the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) has studied Deaf people in university libraries. This research uses a mixed methods approach: the first part of the study uses a descriptive approach to present the current state of LIS literature on Deaf users of university libraries. The second part of the research is empirical and consists of a survey that has yet to be fully carried out. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the level of adoption of artificial intelligence(AI) to support library services delivery in university libraries in Africa. Qualitative research method was adopted to collect data. A preliminary survey of 102 university libraries in English speaking countries in Africa was conducted to identify the university libraries that have adopted AI in their libraries. Content analysis was used to analyse the responses. The study found that the only few university libraries in Africa have adopted AI technologies such as Chatbot, ChatGPT, LibKey from ThirdIron, robots, RFID technology and Grammarly. These AI technologies are used to render different library services like answering of directional and ready reference questions posed by library users, serving as a knowledge base for cataloguing information of library materials, self-check-out machine for books, used as a marketing tool for the library, tool for statistics evaluation and recommendations, assisting in the charging and discharging of library materials, etc. Lack of funds to acquire the AI tools, training of librarians, and lack of full knowledge of AI were the most mentioned challenges associated with adoption of AI in the libraries. The study recommended a formulation of policy to guide the adoption of new technologies such as AI, and training and re-training of librarians through workshops equip librarians with skills needed to effectively use the AI technologies. Purpose: The primary purpose of this study was to check the online information retrieval self-efficacy among library professionals in predicting the satisfaction of patrons within universities' libraries. Design/methodology/approach: The study was grounded on Bandura four sources of self-efficacy, encompassing mastery experience, vicarious experience, social persuasion and physiological states. To accomplish this, a meticulously designed questionnaire was administered to collect data from library professionals employed in universities libraries recognized by the Higher Education Commission in Punjab and capital city of Pakistan (Islamabad). Following by the validation of assumptions, researchers conducted a multiple linear regression test to predict the outcomes of the dependent variable by using the independents variables. Additionally, a comparative evaluation was carried out among all the independent variables to determine their respective contributions to satisfaction of library patrons. Findings: The results emphasized the distinct and substantial significance of three variables, physiological states, social feedback and mastery experience in predicting the satisfaction of library patrons. Nevertheless, vicarious experience did not demonstrate a significant influence on the satisfaction of library patrons. Furthermore, influence of physiological states on the improvement of library patrons' satisfaction was relatively higher compared to other three self-efficacy sources. In conclusion, research established the essential role of online information retrieval self-efficacy in enhancing the satisfaction of library patrons. Practical implications: The findings of the study can form a solid basis for devising academic programs to train the library professionals for effective utilization of various information systems and databases. These programs play an important role in improving the self-efficacy of library professionals, ultimately refining their skills in online information retrieval. Originality/value: In essence, this study provides insights into the factors which are pivotal in effective information searching process, ultimately leading to increase the satisfaction level of library patrons which has not been previously researched in Pakistan as well as the world context. Since 2016, UOW Library staff have been engaged in developing a culture of agility, strong digital literacy, and experimental exploration as part of the Future-Ready Library and the Thriving Digital Library strategies. This culture enabled the trial and implementation of a proactive chat widget at University of Wollongong Library prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Qualitative and quantitative data show how valuable proactive chat was to the students and staff at UOW during a period of high uncertainty. Pro-active chat achieved the goal of equitable provision of resources to library users at a time when visitor and travel rules restricted physical access to UOW Library buildings and on-site staff. The pandemic has been declared over, however, UOW Library continues to utilise proactive chat and to build upon and expand its functionality. The study investigates dust management at the Albert Ilemobade library, The Federal University of Technology Akure. Dust deposition and accumulation poses a major challenge for the university library as all the units, sections, and divisions are affected. Dust not only adversely affects all materials, equipment, and facilities including books, audiovisual collections, and computers, but also constitutes a health hazard to library personnel and users. Major sources of dust include visitor activities and infiltration through openings like windows and doors. Dust mats, special computer enclosures, dusters, dust blowers, and respiratory masks were made available for dust protection and management in the library. The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic hampered the availability of information sources and services in most academic institutions around the world. Making information available during major crisis reveals the long-standing position of the library in helping its patrons. This post COVID-19 study that took place between February 2020 and January 2021 investigated the availability of information sources and services during the COVID-19 pandemic in university libraries in Nigeria. Using a descriptive design, the study used 240 students who were purposely selected from 30 universities including federal, state and private universities in South-South geographical zone of Nigeria as sample. The study revealed that information sources such as: e-books, print journals, e-journals and electronic databases and services such as: Circulation, interlibrary loan, remote access, SDI, online reference services among others were available to the patrons in university libraries in Nigeria during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings showed that the inhibiting factors against the availability of information sources and service in university libraries were poor telecommunication network, closure of some library sections, lack of preparation, unavailability of library policy on pandemic/disaster management and poor coordination among others. Social distancing restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic were declared in Finland in March 2020. Libraries followed Government recommendations resulting in limited library service delivery across a variety of sectors. This research investigates challenges experienced by public, special and academic libraries in the Helsinki metropolitan area focussing on library staff reflections of digital literacy services offered during the pandemic. A multiple case study, with an emergent mixed methods research design was utilised. All data was gathered online due to Covid-19 restrictions: Quantitative data originated from an online survey of library staff; library websites were also audited. Qualitative data originated from semi-structured interviews. Triangulation of the data enabled a clear understanding of digital literacy challenges and responses. Overall, the mixed methods design and the data collection techniques, encouraged reflection upon experience, which in return informed a rich picture of the multiple case study. Results demonstrated that digital literacy challenges existed, particularly related to reaching library customers requiring digital support. Finnish libraries did not differentiate information literacy from digital literacy, as both were perceived as part of library service. Library staffs' reflections corroborated similar research, for example, the impact of teleworking, on technology use and social aspects of working from home. In order to support the mission of the institution in which they are attached, academic libraries provide services in both manual and digital but COVID-19 pandemic that spanned between March and September, 2020 has changed the scenario. With particular reference to Nigeria, about 249,606 cases were confirmed and in order to curb the scourge of this deadly disease, physical academic activities were prevented by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). With this development, innovative tools became indispensable tools for successful delivery of library services in Nigerian academic libraries. This study examined librarians' use of innovative tools for information dissemination in Nigerian academic libraries during the post-Covid era using a descriptive survey design. Data were obtained both in quantitative and qualitative formats from one hundred and forty-four librarians as respondents. A total enumeration sampling technique was adopted because the population was minimal. Findings of the study revealed that innovative tools such as videoconferencing, WhatsApp, teleconferencing, Facebook, LinkedIn, and web-based learning applications are still in use by librarians for the dissemination of information during the post-Covid era. These tools are useful and beneficial to librarians during the post-COVID era, as they facilitate easy participation and engagement of library users in various discussions. Inadequate funding and lack of advanced technology skills were also identified as major impediments to the successful use of innovative tools for information dissemination. University libraries play a crucial role in supporting the goals and values of universities across the globe. As a service provider, the university library needs to be used by members of the university community such as undergraduates. University libraries however have been observed to suffer adequate use by undergraduates probably because of the poor library factors or lack of adequate user education undergraduates. This study, thus, examines library factors and user education as determinants of library use by undergraduates in two universities in Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised 21,838 undergraduates in the University of Ibadan and Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling technique was adopted to draw a sample size of 388 undergraduates later used for the study. Questionnaire was used to gather data while, frequency count, percentages, mean, standard deviation, correlational and regression analysis were used to analyse data. The prominent purpose of use of library by undergraduates in the two universities were to study/read for examinations (x̅ = 3.26) and for personal reading/studying (x̅ = 3.22). Undergraduates rarely use the university library and lack proper user education. The predominant library factors in the university libraries are strategic location of the library (x̅ = 3.36) and comfortable library furniture and seating arrangement (x̅ = 3.20). Library orientation was common method of user education deployed by the university libraries, which is often undertaken once per session. There is a positive and statistically significant relationship between: library factors and library use by undergraduates in the selected universities (r = .423, P < 0.05); user education and library use by undergraduates in the selected universities (r = .400, P < 0.05) as well as library factors and user education by the selected university libraries (r = .464, P < 0.05). The findings also revealed that library factors and user education jointly and significantly predicted library use (F = 56.579, P < 0.05, R2 =.232). Modern information technology has led to significant changes in how libraries operate. This study examined how libraries services are provided in the age of internet in Mountain Top University Library. It adopted a descriptive survey method and 200 participants were chosen at random for the study. A structured questionnaire were used to collect data from the sampled population. Data analysis was done using SPSS, and the results were presented in percentage and frequency table. The study found that majority of the respondents 192(96%) agreed that electronic mail (e-mail) were available in the library, 187(93.5%) agreed that circulation service were available, 157(78.5%) disagreed that bibliographic service was available. The coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic significantly impacted the traditional functioning of academic libraries, prompting a critical need to investigate the challenges and opportunities in adapting and reorganising these institutions. This study documents how academic libraries transformed following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It identifies how these libraries evolved to meet the changing needs of users in a post-pandemic world. A qualitative study was done using a multi-case study design where three university libraries were purposively selected. Data was collected using semistructured interviews and participant observation. Fifteen participants were selected using stratified random sampling technique where the strata comprised of library management, technical, reader, circulation, and technology librarians. The data was analysed using thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that libraries were forced to enhance virtual library services to continue serving the library users to meet the needs of hybrid teaching and learning. Online reference services were introduced, and virtual training sessions and meetings were continued after COVID-19. Library services were embedded in the learning management systems. This study assists academic libraries to better handle future disruptions or unforeseen circumstances to improve online resources, enhance remote access, and integrate advanced technologies to enhance the overall user experience. Research support services (RSS) play an essential role in the lives of academics and researchers. The study focused on availability of RSS and doctoral students' satisfaction with RSS provided in public university libraries in Kenya. The success of doctoral students is often determined by the extent of RSS provided by the university libraries. Every library system's main goal is to satisfy its patrons. Specifically, the paper was guided by these objectives: to assess the extent of provision of RSS in university libraries and to determine the level of satisfaction of doctoral students on available RSS. A sample size of 372 doctoral students were selected using stratified sampling and simple random sampling techniques, and 32 librarians were selected purposively from selected public universities in Kenya. This study adopted a descriptive research design and used an online survey research technique to collect data from doctoral students and librarians. Microsoft Excel and the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) were used to analyse the data. Findings indicate that a wide range of RSS were provided in the selected universities and that while doctoral students are satisfied with the availability of materials, they are not happy with the currency of the materials in the library. The study concludes that there were significant differences in the provision of RSS for doctoral students across the selected public university libraries and that doctoral students have varying levels of satisfaction with the research support services provided to meet their information needs at selected public universities.
