On this I paper I provide 14 tips to improve academic writing. I argue that problems to write academically stem firstly from a weak training and secondly from an attempt by authors to sustain a pose that ties academic writing to grandiloquence and obscurity. Given that those problems are socially determined, they are open to be formalized, tackled and overcome. I take an epistemologically antirealist standpoint, therefore academic writing takes a central role. My proposal is to write simply and it does not intend to be superior in any way to those other aesthetical stances that academic writing embodies. This paper discusses distortions of scientific practices, generated from evaluation policies, from validation of scientific relevance or papers' production. The document suggests that over dimension of publications as a research final goal ignores other alternatives for evaluation of scientific relevance and research dissemination. In addition, as a balance of the distortion, this document proposes the progression Issues, Programs, Policies, Research (PPPI for his acronyms in Spanish). Background and Objective: Co-authorship on writing articles is one of the indicators of reliability in scientific articles. Due to the lack of information regarding to the rate of participation of the authors of articles in the "Iranian Journal of Pathology" this research with the aim of the survey of collaborative coefficients of article authors in this Journal from 2006 to 2012 was performed. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional research was performed. The study population consisted of all articles published in the years studied. Totally 288 printed articles in terms of number and sexes of authors were recognized and collaborative coefficient between the authors was calculated. The data were collected by referring to the original articles and Excel software was used for data entry. Data analysis with using descriptive statistics and collaborative coefficient formula was worked out. Results: Altogether 288 articles had 1078 authors. Average number of authors was 3.75 ± 1.65 and the maximum number of articles was written by three authors. Collaborative coefficient in 2008 was seen as higher ratio of collaboration between article authors. Average collaborative coefficient of authors in research years was 0.69 which demonstrated willingness to cooperate between authors of this journal. Conclusion: It seems that the collaboration between article authors of pathology is high. However considering that participation lead to increase the quality of research activities, encourage researchers to collaborate in scientific research can enhance the quality of articles. The paper realize the Internet management for every step of undergraduate paper, and grantee the quality through some technique ways. And then applying D-S evidence theory for result evaluation is put forward in this paper, and using expert's evidence resources sufficiently for the last result. The study shows that, this method could promote the objectification and standardization of management and evaluation, and then promote the level of paper management efficiently. Purpose – A satirical reflection on the perils of conference paper presentations. Design/methodology/approach – Poetic exposition. Findings – Highlights the traps into which conference paper presenters can sometimes unwittingly fall. Research limitations/implications – For effective presenting within strict time limits, a speaker can never be too prepared. Originality/value – Presents a visual picture of the dilemma and final crash that occurs when presenters fail to impose self-discipline in structuring and delivering to the audience they desperately want to reach.
