Abstract

The article discusses the use of ultrafast ultrasound imaging in developing the protocol which assess the deformations of internal organs of the abdomen during automotive accident. It mentions that the protocol observed the internal response of the abdomen to the impact. It notes that the gross organ deformation, tissue recruitment and deformation can be observed and the results highlights the issue of air presence in the abdominal cavity during post-mortem human subject (PMHS) testing.
