1. Almost Entirely Empirical Estimation for Chemical Potential

Abstract: Based on statistical thermal approaches, the transverse momentum distribution of the well-identified produced particles, π+, π–, K+, K–, p, and $$\bar {p}$$, is studied. We aim at introducing a novel almost entirely empirical estimation for the inclusive chemical potential μ. From the partition function of a grand-canonical ensemble, we propose a generic expression for the dependence of μ on the rapidity y. Then, by fitting this expression with the experimental results of the most central p⊥ and d2N/2πp⊥dp⊥dy, at 7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 130, 200 GeV, we introduce a generic expression for the rapidity dependence of for all particle yields, at different energies, μ = a + by2. The resulting energy dependence reads $$\sqrt {{{s}_{{{\text{NN}}}}}} $$ = c[(μ – a)/b]d/2. As a validation test, we show that the proposed approach reproduces excellently the rapidity spectra of various particle yields measured, at different energies.

Abstract: The QCD phase diagram is studied, at finite magnetic field. Our calculations are based on the QCD effective model, the SU($3$) Polyakov linear sigma model (PLSM), in which the chiral symmetry is integrated in the hadron phase and in the parton phase, the up-, down- and strange-quark degrees of freedom are incorporated besides the inclusion of Polyakov loop potentials in the pure gauge limit, which are motivated by various underlying QCD symmetries. The Landau quantization and the magnetic catalysis are implemented. The response of the QCD matter to an external magnetic field such as magnetization, magnetic susceptibility and permeability has been estimated. We conclude that the parton phase has higher values of magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, and permeability relative to the hadron phase. Depending on the contributions to the Landau levels, we conclude that the chiral magnetic field enhances the chiral quark condensates and hence the chiral QCD phase diagram, i.e. the hadron-parton phase transition likely takes place, at lower critical temperatures and chemical potentials., Comment: 16 pages, 11 figures, the paper is accepted for publication in The European Physical Journal A (EPJA)

Abstract: The visibility graph (VG) and horizontal visibility graph (HVG) have been recently introduced as a mapping between the time series and the complex networks. Here, the relativistic nucleus–nucleus interaction data, $$^{24}$$ Mg-Ag/Br at 4.5 A GeV/c are analyzed and used to characterizing the multifractal properties by extending VG, HVG and the sandbox algorithm (SB). In this work, the HVG–SB techniques have been applied to confirm the scale-freeness and the presence of fractal properties in the process of multiplicity fluctuation. We try to find deterministic information by means of precise determination of topological parameter from a complex network perspective. We have analyzed the degree distributions which are associated with event-wise pseudorapidity distributions, typical of any multifractality measurement, different patterns of symmetry scaling, scale-freeness, correlation and clustering among the produced particles. Abstract: We compare results from the Polyakov linear-sigma model (PLSM) in optimized perturbation theory (OPT) with the mean-field approximation (MFA). At finite temperatures and chemical potentials, the chiral condensates and the decofinement order parameters, the thermodynamic pressure, the pseudo-critical temperatures, the subtracted condensates, the second- and high-order moments of various conserved charges (cumulants) obtained in MFA are compared with OPT and also confronted to available lattice QCD simulations. Abstract: In different approaches, the temperature-baryon density plane of QCD matter is studied for deconfinement and chemical freezeout boundaries. Results from various heavy-ion experiments are compared with the recent lattice simulations, the effective QCD-like Polyakov linear-sigma model, and the equilibrium thermal models. Along the entire freezeout boundary, there is an excellent agreement between the thermal model calculations and the experiments. Also, the thermal model calculations agree well with the estimations deduced from the Polyakov linear-sigma model (PLSM). At low baryonic density or high energies, both deconfinement and chemical freezeout boundaries are likely coincident and therefore the agreement with the lattice simulations becomes excellent as well, while at large baryonic density, the two boundaries become distinguishable forming a phase where hadrons and quark-gluon plasma likely coexist., 8 pages, 2 figures, accepted for publication in AHEP

Abstract: The proposed correspondence between the Hawking-Unruh radiation mechanism in rotating, electrically-charged and electrically-charged-rotating black holes and the hadronization in high-energy physics is assumed. This allows us to determine the well-profound freezeout parameters of the heavy-ion collisions. Furthermore, black holes thermodynamics is found analogical to that of the high-energy collisions. We also introduce a relation expressing the dependence of the angular momentum and the angular velocity deduced from rotating black holes on the chemical potential. The novel phase diagram for rotating, electrically-charged and electrically-charged-rotating black holes are found in an excellent agreement with the phase diagrams drawn for electrically-charged black holes and also with the ones mapped out from the statistical thermal models and the high-energy experiments. Moreover, our estimations for the freezeout conditions $\langle E\rangle/\langle N\rangle$ and $s/T^3$ are in excellent good agreement with the ones determined from the hadronization process, especially at $\mu\leq 0.3$ GeV., Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures, submitted IJMPD

Abstract: The particle production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions seems to be created in a dynamically disordered system which can be best described by an extended exponential entropy. In distinguishing between the applicability of this and Boltzmann-Gibbs (BG) in generating various particle-ratios, generic (non)extensive statistics (GNS) is introduced to the hadron resonance gas model. Accordingly, the degree of (non)extensivity is determined by the possible modifications in the phase space. Both BG extensivity and Tsallis nonextensivity are included as very special cases defined by specific values of the equivalence classes $(c, d)$. We found that the particle ratios at energies ranging between $3.8$ and $2760~$GeV are best reproduced by nonextensive statistics, where $c$ and $d$ range between $\sim0.9$ and $\sim1$. The present work aims at illustrating that the proposed approach is well capable to manifest the statistical nature of the system on interest. We don't aim at highlighting deeper physical insights. In other words, while the resulting nonextensivity is neither BG nor Tsallis, the freezeout parameters are found very compatible with BG and accordingly with the well-known freezeout phase-diagram, which is in an excellent agreement with recent lattice calculations. We conclude that the particle production is nonextensive but should not necessarily be accompanied by a radical change in the intensive or extensive thermodynamic quantities, such as internal energy and temperature. Abstract: The current status of implementing Tsallis (nonextensive) statistics on high-energy physics is briefly reviewed. The remarkably low freezeout-temperature, which apparently fails to reproduce the first-principle lattice QCD thermodynamics and the measured particle ratios, etc. is discussed. The present work suggests a novel interpretation for the so-called {\it "Tsallis-temperature"}. It is proposed that the low Tsallis-temperature is due to incomplete implementation of Tsallis algebra though exponential and logarithmic functions to the high-energy particle-production. Substituting Tsallis algebra into grand-canonical partition-function of the hadron resonance gas model seems not assuring full incorporation of nonextensivity or correlations in that model. The statistics describing the phase-space volume, the number of states and the possible changes in the elementary cells should be rather modified due to interacting correlated subsystems, of which the phase-space is consisting. Alternatively, two asymptotic properties, each is associated with a scaling function, are utilized to classify a generalized entropy for such a system with large ensemble (produced particles) and strong correlations. Both scaling exponents define equivalence classes for all interacting and noninteracting systems and unambiguously characterize any statistical system in its thermodynamic limit. We conclude that the nature of lattice QCD simulations is apparently extensive and accordingly the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics is fully fulfilled. Furthermore, we found that the ratios of various particle yields at extreme high and extreme low energies of RHIC-BES is likely nonextensive but not necessarily of Tsallis type., 25 pages, 3 figures, accepted for publication in PEPAN

Abstract: It was argued that the Raychaudhuri equation with a quantum correction term seems to avoid the Big Bang singularity and to characterize an everlasting Universe [PLB741,276(2015)]. Critical comments on both conclusions and on the correctness of the key expressions of this work were discussed in literature [MPLA31(2016)1650044]. In the present work, we have analyzed the perturbative (in)stability conditions in the inflationary era of the early Universe. We conclude that both unstable and stable modes are incompatible with the corresponding ones obtained in the standard FLRW Universe. We have shown that unstable modes do exist at small (an)isotropic perturbation and for different equations of state. Inequalities for both unstable and stable solutions with the standard FLRW space were derived. They reveal that in the FLRW flat Universe both perturbative instability and stability are likely. While negative stability modes have been obtained for radiation- and matter-dominated eras, merely, instability modes exist in case of a finite cosmological constant and also if the vacuum energy dominates the cosmic background geometry., 14 pages, 1 figure, accepted for publication in INJP

Abstract: Inspired by Lifshitz theory for quantum critical phenomena in condensed matter, Horava proposed a theory for quantum gravity with an anisotropic scaling in ultraviolet. In Horava-Lifshitz gravity (HLG), we have studied the impacts of six types of equations of state on the evolution of various cosmological parameters such as Hubble parameters and scale factor. From the comparison of the general relativity gravity with the HLG with detailed and without with non-detailed balance conditions, remarkable differences are found. Also, a noticeable dependence of singular and non-singular Big Bang on the equations of state is observed. Abstract: Various thermodynamic quantities for baryon-free matter are calculated by combining the most reliable non-perturbative and perturbative calculations, especially the most recent ones including as many quark flavors as possible. We extend these calculations by including other degrees of freedom (dof), such as photons, neutrinos, leptons, electroweak particles, and Higgs bosons, that allows us to consider the temperatures up to the TeV-scale. The calculations show that similar to QCD, the EW phase transition is also a crossover. We have found that while the equation of state for the hadronic matter is linear, $p/\rho\simeq 0.2$, the one for higher temperatures is rather complex; it exhibits two crossover-type phase transitions, corresponding to strong and EW matter. At even larger energy densities, the deduced EoS becomes linear again and close to ideal gas. 13. Pronounced fluctuations of pions in ring-like events in 16O–Ag/Br interactions at 60AGeV/c in the framework of complex network analysis

Abstract: Visibility graphs (VGs), horizontal visibility graphs (HVGs) and the sandbox algorithm (SB) are applied for multifractal characterization of complex network systems that are converted from time series measurements, are used to characterize the fluctuations in pseudorapidity densities of singly charged particles produced in [Formula: see text]O–AgBr interactions at 60[Formula: see text]A[Formula: see text]GeV. The work presents the analysis of ring-like and jet-like events in terms of multifractality characterization of [Formula: see text]O–AgBr interactions at 60[Formula: see text]A[Formula: see text]GeV. We systematically compared the experimental events of both ring- and jet-like events with Monte Carlo (MC) simulated events. The investigation reveals that the multifractal spectrum for the jet-like events and ring-like events is different and can be distinguished. The ring-like events have its parameters slightly higher than that of jet-like events. Further analysis shows that the strength of the nonstatistical fluctuations is larger for ring-like events than those of jet-like events. The SB method presented here appears to be more useful than the conventional methods used for multifractal characterization.

14. Emergence of cosmic space and minimal length in quantum gravity: a large class of spacetimes, equations of state, and minimal length approaches

Abstract: We argue that the modified Landau–Raychaudhuri equations should first be analysed in a large class of spacetimes and in dependence on various equations of states, before endorsing any conclusion about (non)singular Big Bang. From the corrected entropy-area law in a large class of metrics, the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) and the modified dispersion relation (MDR) approaches, and various equations of states, the modified Friedmann equations are derived. They are applied on Landau–Raychaudhuri equations in emergence of cosmic space framework from fixed point method. We show that any conclusion about (non)singular Big Bang is simply badly model-dependent, especially when utilizing GUP and MDR approaches, which can not replace a good theory for quantum gravity. We conclude that the various quantum gravity approaches, metrics and equations of state lead to different modifications in Friedmann and Landau–Raychaudhuri equations and thus to different (non)singular solutions for Big Bang theory.

15. Transverse momentum spectra of strange hadrons within extensive and nonextensive statistics

Abstract: Using generic (non)extensive statistics, in which the underlying system autonomously manifests its extensive and nonextensive statistical nature, we extract various fit parameters from the CMS experiment and compare these to the corresponding results obtained from Tsallis and Boltzmann statistics. The present study is designed to indicate the possible variations between the three types of statistical approaches and characterizes their dependence on collision energy, multiplicity, and size of the system of interest. We analyze the transverse momentum spectra $p_T$ of the strange hadrons \Kslxi produced in Pb+Pb collisions, at 2.76 TeV, in p+Pb collisions, at 5.02 TeV, and in $p+p$ collisions, at 7 TeV. From the comparison of the resulting fit parameters; temperature $T$, volume $V$, and nonextensvie parameter $d$, with calculations based on Tsallis and Boltzmann statistics, remarkable differences between the three types of statistics are determined besides a strong dependence on size and type of the colliding system. We conclude that the produced particles with large masses and large strange quantum numbers likely freeze out earlier than the ones with smaller masses and less strange quantum numbers. This conclusion seems not depending on the type of the particle or the collision but apparently manifesting transitions from chemical (larger temperature) to the kinetic freezeouts (lower temperature). For the first university (equivalent) class c=1, the decrease in the second one, $d$, with increasing energy and collision centrality highlights that the system departs from nonextensivity (non-equilibrium) and apparently approaches extensivity (equilibrium) indicating that the Boltzmann statistics becomes the proper statistical approach in describing that system. Abstract: We report measurements of the nuclear modification factor R_{CP} for charged hadrons as well as identified π^{+(-)}, K^{+(-)}, and p(p[over ¯]) for Au+Au collision energies of sqrt[s_{NN}]=7.7, 11.5, 14.5, 19.6, 27, 39, and 62.4 GeV. We observe a clear high-p_{T} net suppression in central collisions at 62.4 GeV for charged hadrons which evolves smoothly to a large net enhancement at lower energies. This trend is driven by the evolution of the pion spectra but is also very similar for the kaon spectra. While the magnitude of the proton R_{CP} at high p_{T} does depend on the collision energy, neither the proton nor the antiproton R_{CP} at high p_{T} exhibit net suppression at any energy. A study of how the binary collision-scaled high-p_{T} yield evolves with centrality reveals a nonmonotonic shape that is consistent with the idea that jet quenching is increasing faster than the combined phenomena that lead to enhancement.

In this paper, the mesonic decay modes HΛ3→He3 + π- and HΛ3→d+p+π- are used to reconstruct the HΛ3 from Au+Au collision data collected by the STAR collaboration at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). A minimum χ2 estimation is used to determine the lifetime of τ=142-21+24(stat.)±29(syst.) ps. This lifetime is about 50% shorter than the lifetime τ=263±2 ps of a free Λ, indicating strong hyperon-nucleon interaction in the hypernucleus system. The branching ratios of the mesonic decay channels are also determined to satisfy B.R.(He3+π-)/(B.R.(He3+π-)+B.R.(d+p+π-))=0.32±0.05(stat.)±0.08(syst.). Our ratio result favors the assignment J(HΛ3)=12 over J(HΛ3)=32. These measurements will help to constrain models of hyperon-baryon interactions.

Abstract: Rapidity-odd directed-flow measurements at midrapidity are presented for Λ, Λ[over ¯], K^{±}, K_{s}^{0}, and ϕ at sqrt[s_{NN}]=7.7, 11.5, 14.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 62.4, and 200 GeV in Au+Au collisions recorded by the Solenoidal Tracker detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. These measurements greatly expand the scope of data available to constrain models with differing prescriptions for the equation of state of quantum chromodynamics. Results show good sensitivity for testing a picture where flow is assumed to be imposed before hadron formation and the observed particles are assumed to form via coalescence of constituent quarks. The pattern of departure from a coalescence-inspired sum rule can be a valuable new tool for probing the collision dynamics.

Abstract: The STAR Collaboration reports the measurement of semi-inclusive distributions of charged-particle jets recoiling from a high transverse momentum hadron trigger, in central and peripheral $\mathrm{Au}+\mathrm{Au}$ collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{\mathrm{NN}}}=200$ GeV. Charged jets are reconstructed with the anti-${k}_{\mathrm{T}}$ algorithm for jet radii $R$ between 0.2 and 0.5 and with low infrared cutoff of track constituents (${p}_{\mathrm{T}}g0.2 \mathrm{GeV}/\mathrm{c}$). A novel mixed-event technique is used to correct the large uncorrelated background present in heavy ion collisions. Corrected recoil jet distributions are reported at midrapidity, for charged-jet transverse momentum ${p}_{\mathrm{T},\mathrm{jet}}^{\mathrm{ch}}l30 \mathrm{GeV}/\mathrm{c}$. Comparison is made to similar measurements for $\mathrm{Pb}+\mathrm{Pb}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=2.76$ TeV, to calculations for $p+p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV based on the pythia Monte Carlo generator and on a next-to-leading order perturbative QCD approach, and to theoretical calculations incorporating jet quenching. The recoil jet yield is suppressed in central relative to peripheral collisions, with the magnitude of the suppression corresponding to medium-induced charged energy transport out of the jet cone of $2.8\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.2(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.5(\mathrm{sys})$ $\mathrm{GeV}/c$, for $10l{p}_{\mathrm{T},\mathrm{jet}}^{\mathrm{ch}}l20$ $\mathrm{GeV}/c$ and $R=0.5$. No medium-induced change in jet shape is observed for $Rl0.5$. The azimuthal distribution of low-${p}_{\mathrm{T},\mathrm{jet}}^{\mathrm{ch}}$ recoil jets may be enhanced at large azimuthal angles to the trigger axis, due to scattering off quasiparticles in the hot QCD medium. Measurement of this distribution gives a 90% statistical confidence upper limit to the yield enhancement at large deflection angles in central $\mathrm{Au}+\mathrm{Au}$ collisions of $50\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}30(\mathrm{sys})%$ of the large-angle yield in $p+p$ collisions predicted by pythia.

Abstract: We report the first dijet transverse momentum asymmetry measurements from Au+Au and pp collisions at RHIC. The two highest-energy back-to-back jets reconstructed from fragments with transverse momenta above 2 GeV/c display a significantly higher momentum imbalance in heavy-ion collisions than in the pp reference. When reexamined with correlated soft particles included, we observe that these dijets then exhibit a unique new feature-momentum balance is restored to that observed in pp for a jet resolution parameter of R=0.4, while rebalancing is not attained with a smaller value of R=0.2.

Abstract: This letter presents an extension of EPL116(2017)62001 to light- and strange-quark nonequilibrium chemical phase-space occupancy factors ($\gamma_{q,s}$). The resulting damped trigonometric functionalities relating $\gamma_{q,s}$ to the nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energies $(\sqrt{s_{NN}})$ looks very similar except different coefficients. The phenomenology of the resulting $\gamma_{q,s}(\sqrt{s_{NN}})$ describes a rapid decrease at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}\lesssim7~$GeV followed by a faster increase up to $\sim20~$GeV. Then, both $\gamma_{q,s}$ become nonsensitive to $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$. Although these differ from $\gamma_{s}(\sqrt{s_{NN}})$ obtained at $\gamma_q(\sqrt{s_{NN}})=1$, various particle ratios including $\mathrm{K}^+/\pi^+$, $\mathrm{K}^-/\pi^-$, $\mathrm{\Lambda}/\pi^-$, $\bar{\mathrm{\Lambda}}/\pi^-$, $\mathrm{\Xi}^+/\pi^+$, and $\mathrm{\Omega}/\pi^-$, can well be reproduced, as well. We conclude that $\gamma_{q,s}(\sqrt{s_{NN}})$ should be instead determined from fits of various particle yields and ratios but not merely from fits to the particle ratio $\mathrm{K}^+/\pi^+$., Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures, accepted for publication in PEPAN letters

Abstract: We report the first measurement of the longitudinal double-spin asymmetry A(LL) for midrapidity dijet production in polarized pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 200 GeV. The dijet cross section was measured and is shown to be consistent with next-to-leading order (NLO) perturbative QCD predictions. A(LL) results are presented for two distinct topologies, defined by the jet pseudorapidities, and are compared to predictions from several recent NLO global analyses. The measured asymmetries, the first such correlation measurements, support those analyses that find positive gluon polarization at the level of roughly 0.2 over the region of Bjorken-x > 0.05.

For Au+Au collisions at sNN=200 GeV we report v2, for transverse momentum (pT) between 0.2 and 7 GeV/c, using three methods: the event plane method (v2{EP}), two-particle correlations (v2{2}), and four-particle correlations (v2{4}). For Au+Au collisions at sNN=62.4 and 39 GeV we report v2{2} for pTl2GeV/c. v2{2} and v2{4} are nonzero at low and intermediate pT at 200 GeV, and v2{2} is consistent with zero at low pT at other energies. The v2{2} at the two lower beam energies is systematically lower than at sNN=200 GeV for pTl1GeV/c. This difference may suggest that charm quarks interact less strongly with the surrounding nuclear matter at those two lower energies compared to sNN=200 GeV.

Abstract: We present the first measurement of charge-dependent directed flow in Cu+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV. The results are presented as a function of the particle transverse momentum and pseudorapidity for different centralities. A finite difference between the directed flow of positive and negative charged particles is observed that qualitatively agrees with the expectations from the effects of the initial strong electric field between two colliding ions with different nuclear charges. The measured difference in directed flow is much smaller than that obtained from the parton-hadron-string-dynamics model, which suggests that most of the electric charges, i.e., quarks and antiquarks, have not yet been created during the lifetime of the strong electric field, which is of the order of, or less than, 1 fm/c.

Abstract: From a systematic analysis of the energy-dependence of four antibaryon-to-baryon ratios relative to the antikaon-to-kaon ratio, we propose an alternative approach determining the strange-quark chemical potential ($\mu_{\mathrm{s}}$). It is found that $\mu_{\mathrm{s}}$ generically genuinely equals one-fifth the baryon chemical potential ($\mu_{\mathrm{b}}$). An additional quantity depending on $\mu_{\mathrm{b}}$ and the freezeout temperature ($T$) should be added in order to assure averaged strangeness conversation. This quantity gives a genuine estimation for the possible strangeness enhancement with the increase in the collision energy. At the chemical freezeout conditioned to constant entropy density normalized to temperature cubed, various particle ratios calculated at $T$ and $\mu_{\mathrm{b}}$ and the resultant $\mu_{\mathrm{s}}$ excellently agree with the statistical-thermal calculations., Comment: 24 pages, 5 figures accepted for publication in IJMPE

Abstract: The strange-quark occupation factor ($\gamma_s$) is determined from the statistical fit of the multiplicity ratio $\mathrm{K}^+/\pi^+$ in a wide range of nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energies ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}$). From this single-strange-quark-subsystem, $\gamma_s(\sqrt{s_{NN}})$ was parametrized as a damped trigonometric functionality and successfully implemented to the hadron resonance gas model, at chemical semi-equilibrium. Various particle ratios including $\mathrm{K}^-/\pi^-$, $\mathrm{\Lambda}/\pi^-$, and $\mathrm{\bar{\Lambda}}/\pi^-$ are well reproduced. The phenomenology of $\gamma_s(\sqrt{s_{NN}})$ suggests that, the hadrons ($\gamma_s$ raises) at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} \simeq 7~$GeV seems to undergo a phase transition to a mixed phase ($\gamma_s$ declines), which is then derived into partons ($\gamma_s$ remains unchanged with increasing $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$), at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} \simeq 20~$GeV., Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, accepted for publication in EPL

Abstract: We study the Friedmann inflation in general covariant Horava-Lifshitz (HL) gravity without the projectability conditions and with detailed and non-detailed balance conditions. Accordingly, we derive modifications in the Friedmann equations due to a single-scalar field potential describing minimal-supersymmetrically extended inflation. By implementing two time-independent equations of state (EoS) characterizing the cosmic background geometry filled up with dark energy, the dependence of the tensorial and scalar density fluctuations and their ratios on the inflation field are determined. The latter refer to the time evolution of the inflationary field relative to the Hubble parameter. Furthermore, the ratios of tensorial-to-spectral density fluctuations are calculated in dependence on the spectral index. For cold dark energy EoS $\omega=-1/3$, we find that the tensorial-to-spectral density fluctuations are not depending on the different theories of gravity and the results are very small relative to the recent BICEP2/Keck Array-Planck observations, $10^{-9} \lessapprox r \lessapprox 10^{-3}$. Abstract: Generic axiomatic-nonextensive statistics characterized by two asymptotic properties, to each of them a scaling function is assigned, characterized by c and d for first and second scaling property, respectively, is formulated in a grand-canonical ensemble with finite volume in the thermodynamic limit. The thermodynamic properties of a relativistic ideal gas of hadron resonances are studied. It is found that this generic statistics satisfies the requirements of the equilibrium thermodynamics. Essential aspects of thermodynamic self-consistency are clarified. Analytical expressions are proposed for the statistical fits of various transverse momentum distributions measured in most-central collisions at different collision energies and colliding systems. Estimations for the freezeout temperature and chemical potential and both c and d are determined. The earlier are found compatible with the parameters deduced from Boltzmann-Gibbs (BG) statistics (extensive), while the latter refer to generic nonextensivity. The resulting equivalence class (c,d) is associated to stretched exponentials, where Lambert function reaches its asymptotic stability. In some measurements, the resulting nonextensive entropy is linearly composed of extensive entropies. Apart from power-scaling, the particle ratios and yields are excellent quantities to highlighting whether the particle production takes place, (non)extensively. Various particle ratios and yields measured by the STAR experiment in central collisions at 200, 62.4 and 7.7 GeV are fitted to this novel approach. Abstract: The linear-sigma model, in which information about confining gluons is included through the Polyakov-loop potential (PLSM), is considered in order to perform a systematic study for various magnetic properties of QCD matter under extreme conditions of high temperatures and densities and finite magnetic field strengths. The introduction of magnetic field to the PLSM Lagrangian requires suitable utilization of Landau quantization, modification in the dispersion relations, and momentum-space dimension-reduction. We observed that increasing the magnetic field leads to filling-up lower Landau levels first and decreasing the number of occupied levels. We conclude that the population of Landau levels is most sensitive to the magnetic field and to the quark charges. The influences of finite magnetic field on the temperature dependence of chiral and deconfinement order-parameter(s) are studied. We present estimations for the magnetization, the magnetic susceptibility, the permeability and the catalysis properties of QCD matter as functions of temperature. The dependences of the resulting freezeout parameters, temperatures and baryon chemical potentials on the corresponding magnetic field strengths have been analyzed, as well. These calculations are compared with recent lattice QCD simulations, whenever available. We conclude that the QCD matter seems to have paramagnetic property at temperatures greater than the critical one. There is an evidence for weak diamagnetic property at low temperatures. Last but not least, we observe that the magnetic catalysis is inverse, namely the critical temperatures decrease with increasing the magnetic field., Comment: 27 pages, 5 figures

Abstract: We present a measurement of the inclusive production of. mesons in U + U collisions at root s(NN) = 193 GeV at midrapidity (vertical bar y vertical bar < 1). Previous studies in central Au+Au collisions at root s(NN) = 200 GeV show a suppression of Upsilon (1S+2S+3S) production relative to expectations from the Upsilon yield in p+p collisions scaled by the number of binary nucleon-nucleon collisions (N-coll), with an indication that the.(1S) state is also suppressed. The present measurement extends the number of participant nucleons in the collision (N-part) by 20% compared to Au+Au collisions, and allows us to study a system with higher energy density. We observe a suppression in both the Upsilon (1S+2S+3S) and Upsilon (1S) yields in central U+U data, which consolidates and extends the previously observed suppression trend in Au+Au collisions.

Abstract: In mean field approximation, the grand canonical potential of SU(3) Polyakov linear-$\sigma$ model (PLSM) is analysed for chiral phase-transition, $\sigma_l$ and $\sigma_s$ and for deconfinement order-parameters, $\phi$ and $\phi^*$ of light- and strange-quarks, respectively. Various PLSM parameters are determined from the assumption of global minimization of the real part of the potential. Then, we have calculated the subtracted condensates ($\Delta_{l,s}$). All these results are compared with recent lattice QCD simulations. Accordingly, essential PLSM parameters are determined. The modelling of the relaxation time is utilized in estimating the conductivity properties of the QCD matter in thermal medium, namely electric [$\sigma_{el}(T)$] and heat [$\kappa(T)$] conductivities. We found that the PLSM results on the electric conductivity and on the specific heat agree well with the available lattice QCD calculations. Also, we have calculated bulk and shear viscosities normalized to the thermal entropy, $\xi/s$ and $\eta/s$, respectively, and compared them with recent lattice QCD. Predictions for $(\xi /s)/(\sigma_{el}/T)$ and $(\eta/s)/(\sigma_{el}/ T)$ are introduced. We conclude that our results on various transport properties show some essential ingredients, that these properties likely come up with, in studying QCD matter in thermal and dense medium., Comment: 33 pages, 6 figures, 2 tables, accepted for publication in IJMPA

The v2 for these light nuclei produced in heavy-ion collisions is compared with those for p and p. We observe mass ordering in nuclei v2(pT) at low transverse momenta (pTl2.0 GeV/c). We also find a centrality dependence of v2 for d and d. The magnitude of v2 for t and He3 agree within statistical errors. Light-nuclei v2 are compared with predictions from a blast-wave model. Atomic mass number (A) scaling of light-nuclei v2(pT) seems to hold for pT/Al1.5GeV/c. Results on light-nuclei v2 from a transport-plus-coalescence model are consistent with the experimental measurements.

This study is performed in d+Au, Cu+Cu, and Au+Au collisions at sNN=200 GeV measured by the STAR experiment at RHIC. The near-side di-hadron correlation contains two structures, a peak which is narrow in azimuth and pseudorapidity consistent with correlations from jet fragmentation, and a correlation in azimuth which is broad in pseudorapidity. The particle composition of the jet-like correlation is determined using identified associated particles. The dependence of the conditional yield of the jet-like correlation on the trigger particle momentum, associated particle momentum, and centrality for correlations with unidentified trigger particles are presented. The neutral strange particle composition in jet-like correlations with unidentified charged particle triggers is not well described by PYTHIA. However, the yield of unidentified particles in jet-like correlations with neutral strange particle triggers is described reasonably well by the same model.

The transverse momentum pT spectra in p+p for pTl4GeV/c and d+Au collisions for pTl3GeV/c are presented. These measurements extend the STAR coverage for J/ψ production in p+p collisions to low pT. The (pT2) from the measured J/ψ invariant cross section in p+p and d+Au collisions are evaluated and compared to similar measurements at other collision energies. The nuclear modification factor for J/ψ is extracted as a function of pT and collision centrality in d+Au and compared to model calculations using the modified nuclear parton distribution function and a final-state J/ψ nuclear absorption cross section.

Abstract: We present the measurement of the transverse single-spin asymmetry of weak boson production in transversely polarized proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=500 GeV by the STAR experiment at RHIC. The measured observable is sensitive to the Sivers function, one of the transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution functions, which is predicted to have the opposite sign in proton-proton collisions from that observed in deep inelastic lepton-proton scattering. These data provide the first experimental investigation of the nonuniversality of the Sivers function, fundamental to our understanding of QCD.

Abstract: At thermal equilibrium, different chemical freezeout conditions have been proposed so far. They have an ultimate aim of proposing a universal description for the chemical freezeout parameters ($T_{ch}$ and $\mu_b$), which are to be extracted from the statistical fitting of different particle ratios measured at various collision energies with calculations from thermal models. A systematic comparison between these conditions is presented. The physical meaning of each of them and their sensitivity to the hadron mass cuts are discussed. Based on availability, some of them are compared with recent lattice calculations. We found that most of these conditions are thermodynamically equivalent, especially at small baryon chemical potential. We propose that further crucial consistency tests should be performed at low energies. The fireball thermodynamics is another way of guessing conditions describing the chemical freezeout parameters extracted from high-energy experiments. We endorse the possibility that the various chemical freezeout conditions should be interpreted as different aspects of one universal condition., Comment: 14 pages, 11 figures, accepted for publication in International Journal of Modern Physics E

Abstract: In nonzero magnetic field, the magnetic properties and thermodynamics of the quantum-chromodynamic (QCD) matter is studied in the hadron resonance gas and the Polyakov linear-sigma models and compared with recent lattice calculations. Both models are fairly suited to describe the degrees of freedom in the hadronic phase. The partonic ones are only accessible by the second model. It is found that the QCD matter has paramagnetic properties, which monotonically depend on the temperature and are not affected by the hadron-quark phase-transition. Furthermore, raising the magnetic field strength increases the thermodynamic quantities, especially in the hadronic phase but reduces the critical temperature, i.e. inverse magnetic catalysis., 14 pages, 3 figures accepted for publication in AHEP

Abstract: We study Friedmann inflation in general Horava-Lifshitz (HL) gravity with detailed and non-detailed but also without the projectability conditions. Accordingly, we derive the modifications in the Friedmann equations due to single scalar field potentials describing power-law and minimal-supersymmetrically extended inflation. By implementing four types of the equations-of-state charactering the cosmic background geometry, the dependence of the tensorial and spectral density fluctuations and their ratio on the inflation field is determined. The latter characterizes the time evolution of the inflation field relative to the Hubble parameter. Furthermore, the ratio of tensorial-to-spectral density fluctuations is calculated in dependence on the spectral index. The resulting slow-roll parameters apparently differ from the ones deduced from the standard General Relativity (Friedmann gravity). We also observe that the tensorial-to-spectral density fluctuations continuously decrease when moving from non-detailed HL gravity, to Friedmann gravity, to HL gravity without the projectibility, and to detailed HL gravity. This regular patter is valid for three types of cosmic equations-of-state and different inflation potential models. Abstract: The energy dependence of various particle ratios is calculated within the Ultra-Relativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics approach and compared with the hadron resonance gas (HRG) model and measurements from various experiments, including RHIC-BES, SPS and AGS. It is found that the UrQMD particle ratios agree well with the experimental results at the RHIC-BES energies. Thus, we have utilized UrQMD in simulating particle ratios at other beam energies down to 3 GeV, which will be accessed at NICA and FAIR future facilities. We observe that the particle ratios for crossover and first-order phase transition, implemented in the hybrid UrQMD v3.4, are nearly indistinguishable, especially at low energies (at large baryon chemical potentials or high density)., Comment: 13 pages, 5 figures, 2 tables, one reference is added and one paragraph is rephrased. Abstract: Because of relativistic off-center motion of the charged spectators and the local momentum-imbalance experienced by the participants, a huge magnetic field is likely generated in high-energy collisions. The influence of such short-lived magnetic field on the QCD phase-transition(s) shall be analysed. From Polyakov linear-sigma model, we study the chiral phase-transition and the magnetic response and susceptibility in dependence on temperature, density and magnetic field strength. The systematic measurements of the phase-transition characterizing signals, such as the fluctuations, the dynamical correlations and the in-medium modifications of rho-meson, for instance, in different interacting systems and collision centralities are conjectured to reveal an almost complete description for the QCD phase-structure and the chemical freezeout. Abstract: The assumption that the production of quark-antiquark pairs and their sequential string-breaking taking place through the event horizon of the color confinement determines freezeout temperature and gives a plausible interpretation of the thermal pattern of pp and AA collisions. When relating the black-hole electric charges to the baryon-chemical potentials it was found that the phenomenologically-deduced parameters from various particle ratios in the statistical thermal models agree well with the ones determined from the thermal radiation from charged black-hole. Accordingly, the resulting freezeout conditions, such as $s/T^3=7$ and $/=1~$GeV, are confirmed at finite chemical potentials, as well. Furthermore, the problematic of strangeness production in elementary collisions can be interpreted by thermal particle production from the Hawking-Unruh radiation. Consequently, the freezeout temperature depends on the quark masses. This leads to a deviation from full equilibrium and thus a suppression of the strangeness production in the elementary collisions. But in nucleus-nucleus collisions, an average temperature should be introduced in order to dilute the quark masses. This nearly removes the strangeness suppression. An extension to finite chemical potentials is introduced. The particle ratios of kaon-to-pion, phi-to-kaon and antilambda-to-pion are determined from Hawking-Unruh radiation and compared with the thermal calculations and the measurements in different experiments. We conclude that these particle ratios can be reproduced, at least qualitatively, as Hawking-Unruh radiation at finite chemical potential. With increasing energy, both K+/pi+ and phi/K^- keep their maximum values at low SPS energies. But the further energy decrease rapidly reduces both ratios. Abstract: The proposed analogy of particle production from high-energy collisions and Hawking-Unruh radiation from black holes is extended to finite density (collisions) and finite-electric charge (black holes). Assuming that the electric charge is directly proportional to the density (or the chemical potential), it becomes clear that for at least two freezeout conditions; constant $s/T^3$ and $E/N$, the proposed analogy works very well. Dependence of radiation (freezeout) temperature on finite electric-charge leads to an excellent estimation for Kaon-to-pion ratio, for instance, especially in the energy range covered by NICA. Abstract: The dynamical net-charge fluctuations (${\nu}_{dyn}$) in different particle ratios $K/{\pi}$, $K/p$, and $p/{\pi}$ are calculated from the hadron resonance gas (HRG) model and compared with STAR central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=7.7-200~$GeV and NA49 central Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=6.3-17.3~$GeV. The three charged-particle ratios ($K/{\pi}$, $K/p$, and $p/{\pi}$) are determined as total and average of opposite and average of same charges. We find an excellent agreement between the HRG calculations and the experimental measurements, especially from STAR beam energy scan (BES) program, while the strange particles in the NA49 experiment at lower Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) energies are not reproduced by the HRG approach. 50. Axiomatic nonextensive statistics at NICA energies

Abstract: We discuss the possibility of implementing axiomatic nonextensive statistics, where it is conjectured that the phase-space volume determines the (non)extensive entropy, on the particle production at NICA energies. Both Boltzmann-Gibbs and Tsallis statistics are very special cases of this generic (non)extensivity. We conclude that the lattice thermodynamics is {\it ab initio} extensive and additive and thus the nonextensive approaches including Tsallis statistics categorically are not matching with them, while the particle production, for instance the particle ratios at various center-of-mass energies, is likely a nonextensive process but certainly not of Tsallis type.
