The change in the volume and composition of phases during of isothermal treatment of Cr-Ni-Mo steels was investigated by methods of high-temperature X-ray diffraction analysis. Redistribution of carbon between phases is investigated. It is shown the influence of silicon and aluminium on these processes. The research made it possible to recommend steel compositions and isothermal treatment to obtain a large volume of retained austenite with a high carbon content to provide TRIP effect.
