The control of the optical soliton is important for the stable transmission, and is studied in optical communication, mathematical physics and other fields. In this paper, analytical soliton solution for the fifth-order variable coefficient nonlinear Schrodinger equation, which can describe the transmission of femtosecond optical solitons in optical fiber, is obtained. Periodic transmission of optical solitons is observed, and the method for control the optical solitons is proposed. Results are useful for the stable transmission of optical solitons in optical fibers.
