Accumulating at least 60 min of physical activity every day is health-beneficial and will contribute to development of motor abilities. The objective was to compare some motor abilities of physically active [N=42; (24 boys & 18 girls)] and inactive [N=55; (24 boys & 31 girls)] school adolescents at the age of 13-15 years: (1) abdominal muscle strength; (2) lower back muscle strength; (3) upper limbs muscle strength; (4) lower limbs muscle strength; and (5) explosive leg power. The PAQ-C questionnaire was applied to evaluate the level of physical (in)activity. A cut-off value of 2.73 was set to categorize children as inactive (<2.73) and physically active (=2.73), as suggested by Benitez-Porres et al. (2016). Student's t-test was applied in order to compare motor abilities between physically active and inactive adolescents. Findings of the present study indicate that physically active adolescents have higher upper limbs muscle strength and explosive leg power than inactive adolescents. No significant differences were observed in abdominal muscle strength, lower back muscle strength and lower limbs muscle strength, between physically active and inactive school adolescents aged 13-15 years. We believe that specifically tailored exercise interventions with an appropriate frequency, intensity, and volume might be necessary in order to induce higher and more significant changes in all segments of the motor abilities spectrum. The purpose of the study. aims to determine the contribution of leg explosive power and running speed to long jump ability. Materials and methods. a research sample of 30 male students. Measurement of leg explosive power is determined by the ability to jump long without starting (standing broad jump). Running speed measurements are determined by running a sample distance of 30 meters. Measurement of long jump ability is determined by a sample of jumping as far as possible in the jumping. Results. The results showed that leg explosive power, leg length and running speed contributed to long jump ability (r > 0.05). The results show that leg explosive power and long jump ability contribute (r = 0.58). There was a contribution in the correlation test between running speed and long jump ability (r = 0.51). The results of the multiple correlation test of leg explosive power and running speed with long jump ability showed that there was a contribution (r=0.70 and r2 = 0.49) Conclusions. There is a contribution between leg explosive power, leg length and running speed to long jump ability. The influence of physical activity and regular and structured training also greatly influences a person's long jump ability

Background: Motor fitness has a big impact on the cricket performance pyramid. Objectives: The research concentrates on certain motor fitness components to improve playing competency in both high- and low-performing Divisional women cricket players. Methods: For this study, 36 female players were randomly selected as subjects from the Bangladesh Women's National Cricket League held in Sylhet in 2022-23. They ranged in age from 16 to 27 years. Three equal groups of twelve people each were formed from the chosen subjects. Khulna, Sylhet, and Dhaka teams were represented by Group I, Group II, and Group III, respectively. Regular exercises and training were provided to enhance the player's performance in the game. Our research scholar additionally prepared the questionnaires with the help of the literature review. The researcher reported the following motor fitness factors: explosive leg power, speed, agility, and cardiovascular endurance. The generated data were gathered during the competition and statistically evaluated after the competition by applying ANOVA and Post Hoc Test (Tukey HSD). The researcher used the statistical software package SPSS version 26 for data analysis. Results: The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in motor fitness characteristics between high and low-performing Divisional women cricket players. High-performing players had significantly better scores on cardiovascular endurance (p=.000), explosive leg power (p=.013), speed (p=.002), and agility (p=.000) than low-performing players. The Champion Team (Sylhet) of the league was discovered to be more successful than other teams in achieving high-level performance. Conclusion The study concluded that to execute the best gaming plan, playing skill exclusively depends on physical condition and a stress-free mind. The study highlights the importance of motor fitness characteristics in cricket performance. The findings may have implications for developing training programs tailored to improve specific motor fitness characteristics for players at different performance levels.

The aim of the study was to give more informations about jumping abilities of youngfemale gymnasts. We examine age-related differences in some variables of counter-movementjump (CMJ) and counter-movement jump with arm swing (CMJA), between two age categoriesof young female gymnasts (n=47) and also reliability of testing vertical jump in gymnasts. Thestudy was conducted on an international competition. Our research has shown that age-relateddifferences were observed only in height of the jumps, but not in power output of both jumps anddisplacement of depth of body’s center of gravity. Jumping capabilities are crucial in gymnasticsin all levels of competitions and in all categories of gymnasts. Testing and periodical monitoringof young athletes’ abilities are important for defining the training programmes adapted to theneeds of gymnastics and the age of the gymnasts.

The aim of this paper is to establish the effects of an experimental treatment, so calledìRussian complexî on explosive leg power of the basketball players belonging to theexperimental group. Explosive leg power was measured on the sample consisting of 40basketball players from the Serbian league: 20 basketball players from the experimental groupand 20 from the control group, all aged between 16 and 18. The experimental group was thesubject of the experimental treatment, so called ìRussian complexî, which included gymexercises and took place twice a week during the period of ten weeks. The results of theunivariate analysis of covariance indicated that the experimental programme led to astatistically significant improvement of all three motor variables used for the evaluation ofexplosive leg power (Sargent Jump Test, Standing Triple Jump and Standing Jump) in theexperimental group of examinees, in comparison to the control group.
