This community service aims to improve the competence of teachers in making educational website-based learning evaluations through the Kahoot and Quizizz applications. The method of implementing this service uses training conducted online and offline with presentation and tutorial techniques. The training was attended by 30 teachers from PAUD, MTs, and MA Madrasah Al Misbahul Ulum Qur'an, Cikereteg, Bogor. This service evaluation instrument uses pre-test and post-test questionnaires which are then analyzed using percentage techniques. The results of this community service activity show that there is an increase in the understanding of madrasah teachers at the Madrasah Al Misbahul Ulum Qur'an, Bogor regarding making educational website-based learning evaluations using the Kahoot and Quizizz applications. In addition, teachers can make learning evaluations using Kahoot and Quizizz for the subjects they teach.

The use of language education technologies is expanding today. Electronic learning of vocabulary is one of these fields that provides various educational platforms according to the needs of language learners. Deutsche Welle and Deutsche Info are two well-known websites in the field of German language education. The present study seeks to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these two websites in providing German vocabulary. In this study, the problem is what approaches these platforms use to teach German vocabulary. Based on this, two questions were of interest: one is which methods and exercises are used in these two websites to learn basic vocabulary at the A1 level. And what is the effect of individual learning styles on learning results? This research is based on the theoretical insights of Rainer Bohn and Oliver Bayerlein, which is especially important in the acquisition of vocabulary limited to the classroom. This study was conducted using the content analysis method, which was analyzed after extracting the exercises presented in both websites according to the theoretical criteria of Ben and Bayerlein. The results showed that Deutsche Welle used more audio-visual approaches and is a leader in terms of variety of everyday topics and relies on fast and effective learning methods. On the other hand, Deutsche Info emphasizes learning in context, which is one of the best approaches for storing words in long-term memory. As stated by Matsumoto and Kawachi (2017), deixis is actually a line of a path in addition to a specific ground (i.e. the speaker) and for this reason, it is conceptually different from a path of motion. Indeed, deictic expressions exhibit a distinct set of behaviors from directional expressions (e.g., Up in English), line of path (e.g., TO), or trajectory plus conformation (e.g., INTO), and therefore deserve separate studies. In this article, we are going to examine deictic verbs and expressions in Persian language. For this purpose, after examining the lexicalization pattern of Persian, which is generally based on the analysis of The Frog Story (Mayer, 1969) and the Persian translation of the novel Alice in Wonderland (Carroll, 1865), we will evaluate how deictic expressions are coded in Persian in comparison with English, Japanese and Thai languages (Matsumoto et al., 2017), and if these items are interactive in nature in addition to the spatial role as reported by Matsumoto et al. (2017) regarding these components. As results show, in Persian language these expressions are also used functionally and interactively in addition to the spatial role they play. In other words, speakers of Persian language use these components more frequently when the movement is not only towards the speaker (spatial direction) but also in his area which is defined by the limits of visibility and interaction, and also when the movement is accompanied by an interactive behavior such as greeting at the speaker. These findings are in line with the results of Akita and Matsumoto (2017). However, in the Persian language, as in other investigated languages, the interactivity of the motion event does not have much effect on the encoding of the deictic concept in prepositions, which indicates that the deictic concept is largely lexicalized in the verb stem of "coming" and "going" in Persian language and not auxiliary components such as prepositions and other verb components. The three-month quasi-experimental study examined the impact of Purple Mash, an educational website, on grade four students' academic achievement and perception. The study involved 28 participants, divided into control and experimental groups. Initial assessment scores were similar between the groups, but after the intervention, the experimental group showed a significant increase in post-test scores compared to the control group. The experimental group achieved an average score of 89.9, while the control group scored 77.2. Additionally, the students reported high levels of satisfaction with the interactive learning experiences provided by Purple Mash. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of dedicated websites for each lesson to enhance accessibility and improve academic achievement and student perception in information and communication technology (ICT) courses. The integration of various data sources, such as pre- and post-test scores, classroom observations, and interviews, supported the credibility and dependability of the research findings. This thorough approach allowed for a deeper understanding of ICT class dynamics and the establishment of robust conclusions. The findings of this study provide compelling evidence of the positive impact of Purple Mash, a web-based mathematics learning platform, on primary school students' mathematics achievement. The usefulness of a web site is based on the prospect of a satisfactory website user. In improving the usefulness of a university's website, it is essential to present precise data and disseminate prompt information to students. This paper was conducted to analyse and recommend a better process for the information display (content and work processes) of university websites development. Questionnaires were distributed and feedbacks were received from 350 respondents. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the process of (content and processes) of the university websites based on five main aspects: i) Content and Organization Structure, ii) Linkages and Navigation, iii) Language, iv) Education Content and v) Option and Performance. Analysis showed that the percentage of question items has a positive tendency in perception regarding improvements need to enhance the intensity of the university website portal, especially in terms of links, content organization and live help desk requirements that can directly provide an easier means of that can providing information and accelerating up the operation of receiving data. The article presents the results of the pedagogical experiment to introduce a series of automated teaching methods in the educational process at Melitopol State Pedagogical University named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky, conducted in 2012–2014. Developed and tested systems in the disciplines “Operating Systems”, “Basic scientifi c research”, “Technologies for Information Management”, “Software Testing” consist of an electronic textbook, course and distance learning unit “Electronic Journal”. Analysis of the results of the pedagogical experiment showed that the use of automated teaching methods in the educational process of the university positively affects the improvement of student performance.

Abstract: To meet the increasing demand for higher education, universities are questing for new ways of delivering education and as a result, e-learning is being implemented more frequently each day, creating new opportunities for both educational institutions and students. Likewise, every online organization, the website of an educational institution is the first interaction tool between the user and the organization and plays an important role in establishing long term relationships with students. To face this strategic issue for virtual universities, this paper focuses on improving website quality based on users’ information and structural needs. By considering that the basic goal of every website is to provide the user with information, first, proper content for a university website from the users’ perspective will be selected, and then a framework for Iranian universities’ websites will be proposed. Selecting proper content items from a website is a selection problem with different criteria influencing the optimal solution. Therefore, in this paper, multicriteria decision making approach is taken toward this selection problem.

本研究焦點為了解教育網站評鑑點不同對評鑑結果的影響。採問卷調查法，以參與第五屆台灣高中生高溫超導磁浮創意競賽決賽147位參賽者為對象，了解使用者對網站訊息與「功能完備性」及「學習輔助性」不同評鑑角度的差異看法，以檢驗一般教育網站評鑑多以功能完備性為評估點的得當性。資料以t考驗配合龐費洛尼法分析，結果發現：以高溫超導特定主題與內容為網站評鑑標的時，在功能完備性與學習輔助性上未有顯著不同的評鑑結果，然在針對網站整體性評估，尤其多媒體向度上，在功能完備性與學習輔助性不同評鑑角度則有顯著差異的評鑑結果。使用者對多媒體功能評估上，較易反映個人非教育類之媒體使用經驗，而對教育網站之動畫、影片、聲音等功能完備性有顯著低於學習輔助性評價的現象。文末提出教育網站評鑑之實務與未來研究建議。The main focus of this paper is to examine any significant differences between participants’ evaluative ratings towards the website in terms of its facilitating effects for learning versus its functionality comprehensiveness. A survey research method was used in the study. 147 high school students who successfully passed to the second phase of the Fifth Annual High Temperature Superconductor Tournament participated in the study. Data analysis yielded that statistically significant differences were found only on areas related to multimedia features. Specifically, the obtained results indicated that students may use their past website surfing experiences as a point of reference and tended to hold a higher expectation toward the embedded multimedia features. As such, their evaluative ratings towards the facilitating effects of multimedia, including the animation, film, and audio, tended to be significantly higher than those of its functionality comprehensiveness. Suggestions for website evaluation and future studies are offered.

Introduction: ADHD is a relatively common neuro-developmental condition characterized by hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention. The provision of timely and accurate information about the condition and about strategies to manage it is vital especially because of widespread misconceptions about it.Aim: To see the effect of an educational website on (i) parental perceptions (ii) knowledge levels, and to obtain feedback to optimise user-experience.Method: Parents whose children had ADHD (or were close to diagnosis) were recruited. Following a 30-item baseline knowledge test parents/carers were directed to an educational website on ADHD. After this they were re-contacted for follow up testing and feedback.Results: n=172, 14 were lost to follow up. Ninety-one (59.4 %) participants were known to have accessed the website at follow up. The majority of carers accessed the website just once or twice (32.7%). Of those who did not access the website 65% cited a lack of time as the reason while 29% cited they were unable to access the internet at the time. The majority (74%) of those accessing the site were just browsing for general information. Parents showed increased knowledge post website use p=0.000. Of those accessing the website the majority (85.5%) felt it was relevant to them and would use it again (90.8%). Content analysis of open-ended feedback identified eight core themes including website appearance, content, functionality, perceptions, target audience, usability, usage patterns with areas for improvement noted in four areas.Conclusion: Websites can be used as an adjunct to information given at clinic. Although a majority of parents will access them, there are still barriers to access e.g. time. Websites do seem to improve parent/carer knowledge levels. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Applying Carney and Levin's (2002) functional classifications of images, the researchers evaluated four educational websites. Implementing visual rhetoric as a means of determining the function of images provides researchers with a means to evaluate images (Foss, 2004; 2005) and assess symbolic processes found on recommended educational websites (Kenney, 2005). Scholars must evaluate both text and image, thus assisting students in comprehending what they are reading, especially on the internet (Walker, Schloss, Fletcher, Vogel, & Walker, 2005). Levin (1981) identified five functions pictures serve in text processing now relevant when viewing pictures on computers (Carney & Levin, 2002). The functions the researchers implemented in evaluation of images are decoration, representation, organization, interpretation, and transformation. Levin (1981) describes how these functions "focus on the concreteness, relatedness, meaningfulness, and memorableness of pictures" (p. 214), thus increasing comprehension of reading material. Images on the websites analyzed for this paper fulfill all of the functional categories described by Carney and Levin (2002). This article aims to promote a theoretical framework for designing an educational website based on scientific standards for non-native Arabic speakers to improve their abilities and performance in learning Arabic language. As Arabic language is commonly known as the language of Holy Quran and is the language of Prophet Muhammad (last of the prophets), so it is considered as one of the oldest languages in the world. In addition, it is widely used around the world and is the spoken language of the Arab states in the Middle East and North Africa. So, increasing the number of people who show their desires to learn Arabic language as a second language leads to build various online educational approaches. But based on previous studies, many educational websites are not built based on scientific standards, which affect students' academic performance; therefore, there is an emergency demand to promote the theoretical framework for designing an educational website based on scientific standards to facilitate language acquisition and help non-native Arabic speakers to overcome the difficulties that they face in learning Arabic language. Introducción: el CIRAH es una institución de postgrado que contribuye a la actualización permanente del personal de la salud en sus conocimientos sobre la enfermedad aterosclerótica, sus factores de riesgo y sus consecuencias orgánicas. Desarrolla la Carrera Certificativa de Investigación en Aterosclerosis que oferta a todo el país dividida en tres etapas: Diplomado, Maestría y Doctorado. Coordinar este proceso es complejo y el centro cuenta con muy poco personal para ello. Objetivo: crear un sitio web para el CIRAH que facilite la gestión de información y el proceso docente-investigativo de la Carrera Certificativa de Investigaciones de Aterosclerosis. Material y Método: se comenzó por realizar un trabajo de mesa para definir los contenidos del sitio analizando la misión y visión de la institución. Se revisaron sitios web temáticos, de centros de investigación y educacionales. Se seleccionó la información del centro, se hizo el diseño estructural y gráfico del sitio, se definió la plataforma a utilizar y las herramientas a emplear. Por último, se montaron todos los contenidos. Resultados: se publicó el sitio institucional CIRAH. Mostró la estructura, contenidos y resultados del trabajo desarrollado. Se colocaron variadas secciones para facilitar el acceso a la información bibliográfica. Ofreció tutoriales y herramientas útiles para el trabajo. Respondió a las dos líneas fundamentales de trabajo: docencia-investigación sobre aterosclerosis. Centralizó el acceso a la información del centro. Conclusiones: el sitio web CIRAH resultó una nueva vía de organización y gestión de información para el centro. Su lanzamiento inició una nueva forma de trabajo colaborativo para sus trabajadores.

A user's clickstream, such as that which is found in server-side logs, can be a rich source of data concerning the ways in which a user navigates a site, but the volume and level of detail found in these logs makes it difficult to identify and categorise specific navigational patterns. In this paper, we describe the three-step automatic pattern discovery (APD) method, a tool that utilises sequential mining to extract a user's navigation route based on two levels of basic navigational elements. This paper contains descriptions of two studies in which the APD was used; the first makes use of APD to analyse the usage of an educational website; the second describes how APD was used to improve the design of a technical support website in a university department.
