Purpose: Students' career choices and programmes of study are perceived to influence student understanding of many courses. Yet, research attention is limited on entrepreneurship education that is a panacea for unemployment. Thus, this paper aims to assess the influence of students' career interests on students' comprehension of the entrepreneurship curriculum from a developing economy perspective. Design/methodology/approach: The study adopts a mixed-method approach and explanatory sequential design is used to collect the data from 575 student studying entrepreneurship course in Ghana. Findings: The results show that there is no statistically significant relationship between students' career interests and students' comprehension levels in concepts taught in the entrepreneurship curriculum but a statistically significant relationship between students' programme of study and students' comprehension levels in concepts taught in the entrepreneurship curriculum in Ghanaian universities. Practical implications: The findings imply that the entrepreneurship course should be taught practically. This can be accomplished by creating a virtual enterprise modelled after a successful enterprise. This will help students understand the concepts being taught. Second, students who study different programmes should be taught using different methods. Lastly, students who study non-business-related programmes should be taught using methods that emphasise the basic ideas to aid students' understanding. Originality/value: This study has made significant contribution by successful adopting the Piaget's cognitive constructivism to the learning of entrepreneurship from a developing country perspective and establish that no statistical relationship exist between students' career interests and students' comprehension levels in entrepreneurship education. Physical fitness is influenced by the food they consume. Nutritious food can increase the athlete's stamina so that athlete's achievement will be easily achieved. Fulfilling the need for nutritional intake requires a good level of understanding of the importance of the nutritional intake needs of athletes, especially soccer athletes at SMA Negeri Sport Riau Province. The purpose of the study is to measure the level of understanding of the nutritional intake needs of adolescent soccer athletes at SMA Negeri Sport Riau Province. This type of research is evaluation. The method used in this study is a survey method with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data collection technique is carried out using a questionnaire or questionnaire method by testing the level of validity and reliability. The population in the study amounted to 35 male soccer athletes at the Riau Province Sports State Senior High School. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive as outlined in the form of a percentage. The results shows that the level of understanding of the nutritional intake needs of soccer athletes at the Riau Province Sports High School can be seen that 65.7% gives a good assessment. This indicates that the level of understanding of the nutritional needs of athletes is in the good category so this needs to be maintained. Likewise, the athletes' understanding of the athlete's daily nutritional adequacy and the regulation of the athlete's nutritional intake during the training period is in the good category. So it can be concluded that the level of understanding of the nutritional intake needs of soccer athletes is in the good category.

In this paper the author demonstrates how the GSE course was executed related to each level of the Bloom's taxonomy. It was observed that Bloom's taxonomy can play a vital role in order to effectively design and deliver a GSE course. Overall, the six levels of Bloom's cognitive domain were helpful in transforming students learning from the knowledge level to the evaluation level. However, it was observed that the knowledge level is not appropriate for higher calibre students because the content used in the knowledge level is often referred to as simple. The comprehension level seemed appropriate for all levels of students as they were able to produce different solutions based on their understanding of the problem domain. Many international students had problems with the application level as they were unable to apply the concepts and theories in the laboratories. For the analysis level, some students had difficulties in breaking down the bigger problem into smaller components. Students had mixed responses to the synthesis level. Students had some minor problems in the evaluation level. However, it was observed that if Bloom's taxonomy is used with other available teaching guidelines, the overall design and delivery of different courses can be improved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article explores the opinion of students on Heisenberg uncertainty principle and the impact of writing activities for learning purposes on academic success. It mentions that many students cannot write any equation about the principle. It notes that writing activities about the principle enable the students to retain scientific knowledge. It also emphasizes that such activities facilitate the conceptual changes in students.

This study examines prospective teachers' levels of understanding the photoelectric effect, and the impact of writing activities for learning purposes on the success of prospective teachers. These prospective teachers study in the science teaching program of the faculty of education and take the course Introduction to Modern Physics. In this study, a semi-experimental design with a 'pretest'- 'posttest' control group was used. The research data were obtained via a questionnaire comprising qualitative questions prepared by the researchers. In all the groups, the lesson was taught by utilizing the verbal-written lecture method. In addition, each student in the experimental group wrote a letter to a senior high school student to explain the photoelectric effect in an understandable way. On the other hand, students in the control group solved the problems relating to the topic in the course book. A total of 111 third year students studying in the academic year 2007-2008 participated in the study. 54 of these students were female and 57 of them were male. The research findings indicated that prospective teachers have low levels of understanding the photoelectric effect, and qualitative and quantitative comparisons of posttest results of the experimental group and control group, and success percentages in the written examination were in favor of the experimental group. In addition, the opinions of students about writing activities for learning purposes were determined by means of additional questions to the posttest. 91.7% of the students mentioned that they understood the photoelectric effect about which they wrote the letter. This is further exacerbated when the nature of the research requires participation at all ability levels and involves people with communication impairments. The process of obtaining consent in a research study with 48 participants at four levels of comprehension ability is discussed in this paper. The specific issues of recruitment, seeking consent, ongoing consent and feedback are detailed as are the adaptations made in this project to research methodology and the accessible methods of communication employed.
