The innovative application of virtual reality technology in advertising design greatly promotes the development of advertising design work in the media field and also provides a new guiding direction for art creation in advertising design. After analyzing the advantages and performance of VR technology applied in advertising design, the article elaborates on the use of art creation rules and related skills in advertising design. To facilitate the guidance of art creation in advertising design within a virtual reality environment, this paper employs chunked feature-matching technology to visually process print advertisement images, thereby providing an interactive design process for advertisements in virtual reality. Then, using a reinforcement learning algorithm as a framework, we combine the DDPG strategy with a neural renderer to construct a virtual reality advertisement design art creation style migration model and conduct design experiments to verify its effectiveness. Finally, we conduct an experience evaluation analysis for the design of virtual reality advertisements. The model in this paper converges after 225 epochs, at which time the loss value is 17.09% lower than that of the CycleGAN model; the mean value of the advertisement image style migration score is 4.08; and the mean value of the comprehensive score of the on-campus test for virtual reality advertisement design is 8.12. Reinforcement learning not only facilitates the art creation guidance of advertisement design in a virtual reality environment but also enhances the user’s understanding of the advertisement design content, thereby laying the foundation for improving the communication effect of virtual advertisements.

A discrete element model of spreading positive texture skid-resistant friction course was established based on the PFC3D discrete element software. The feasibility of texture research based on the discrete element model was verified by comparing the texture characteristics of the discrete element model of friction course with those of the specimen prepared in the laboratory. The effects of the parameters such as the mix mass ratio and the compaction times on the surface texture of the friction course were analyzed. The results show that the texture skewness and the mean profile depth firstly decrease and then increase with the increase of the mass ratio of coarse aggregate, while decrease with the increase of the oil-aggregate mass ratio. The influence of the nominal maximum aggregate size is the most significant. When the nominal maximum aggregate size is 4. 75 mm, the friction course has higher positive texture level and better skid resistance. Therefore, it is recommended to use this size of aggregate in the construction practice. With the increase of the compaction times, the decreasing trends of both the texture skewness and the mean profile depth become gradually moderate. This paper proposes an innovative design education model that effectively combines learning science theory, new technology, and new media to address the problems of serious homogenisation and disconnection from social requirements in design education. The model is based on the Chinese context, in accordance with the three principles of innovative design education summarized in Tim Brown’s design thinking, and utilizing the learning science theory, new technology, and new media. Analyzing the relationship between learning science theory, new technology, and new media, providing a reference for the full application of new technology and new media in Chinese modern design education, and promoting the application of learning science theory in Chinese modern design education constitute the construction of the model.

To explore the research status on mechanism of the skid-resistance for asphalt pavement, the related achievements of the rubber friction, the tire–road contact, and the influence factors were reviewed. The rubber friction was reviewed from the mechanism and rubber friction model. The tire-road contact was studied from the modeling methods, the evaluation methods, and the skid-resistance mechanisms at different conditions. The influence factors of skid-resistance were summarized from different designing processes. This review showed that the appropriate contact or evaluation model should be selected according to the required parameters. Although the finite element method is widely used, the accuracy of the model, the boundary conditions, and the load cases need to be further improved. The optimized aggregates and asphalt binders, reasonable gradation, reasonable geometric design, and strict construction quality control are necessary for good initial skid-resistance. Aims Haemodynamic forces (HDFs) provided a feasible method to early detect cardiac mechanical abnormalities by estimating the intraventricular pressure gradients. The novel advances in assessment of HDFs using routine cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) cines shed new light on detection of preclinical dysfunction. However, definition of normal values for this new technique is the prerequisite for application in the clinic. Methods and results A total of 218 healthy volunteers [38.1 years ± 11.1; 111 male (50.9%)] were recruited and underwent CMR examinations with a 3.0T scanner. Balanced steady state free precession breath hold cine images were acquired, and HDF assessments were performed based on strain analysis. The normal values of longitudinal and transversal HDF strength [root mean square (RMS)] and ratio of transversal to longitudinal HDF were all evaluated in overall population as well as in both genders and in age-specific groups. The longitudinal RMS values (%) of HDFs were significantly higher in women (P < 0.05). Moreover, the HDF amplitudes significantly decreased with ageing in entire heartbeat, systole, diastole, systolic/diastolic transition, and diastolic deceleration, while increased in atrial thrust. In multivariable linear regression analysis, age, heart rate, and global longitudinal strain emerged as independent predictors of the amplitudes of longitudinal HDFs in entire heartbeat and systole, while left ventricular end-diastole volume index was also independently associated with longitudinal HDFs in diastole and diastolic deceleration (P < 0.05 for all). Conclusion Our study provided comprehensive normal values of HDF assessments using CMR as well as presented with specific age and sex stratification. Due to the increasing demand for electrification in the automotive sector, the interest in the manufacturing and processing of pure Copper (Cu; purity 99.99%) is also increasing. Laser-based technologies have proven to be challenging due to Cu's high optical reflectivity. Processing pure Cu with Electron Beam Melting (EBM) is a promising manufacturing route, allowing for high design freedom. The highest priority is to achieve outstanding thermal and electric conductivity in manufactured Cu components. Chemical contamination or manufacturing defects, such as porosity, significantly reduce the thermal and electric conductivity. The literature on post-processing (thermal and abrasive) of additively manufactured Cu is scarce. Therefore, this study discusses the correlation between as built and heat treated microstructure, as well as surface roughness on the EBM electric conductivity. EBSD analysis is performed to analyze the effect of microstructure on electric conductivity. The effect of sandblasting and vibratory finishing on surface roughness and electric conductivity is investigated. Additionally, the samples are mechanically tested in terms of hardness. We describe a method for the generation of seamless surface parametrizations with guaranteed local injectivity and full control over holonomy. Previous methods guarantee only one of the two. Local injectivity is required to enable these parametrizations' use in applications such as surface quadrangulation and spline construction. Holonomy control is crucial to enable guidance or prescription of the parametrization's isocurves based on directional information, in particular from cross-fields or feature curves, and more generally to constrain the parametrization topologically. To this end we investigate the relation between cross-field topology and seamless parametrization topology. Leveraging previous results on locally injective parametrization and combining them with insights on this relation in terms of holonomy, we propose an algorithm that meets these requirements. A key component relies on the insight that arbitrary surface cut graphs, as required for global parametrization, can be homeomorphically modified to assume almost any set of turning numbers with respect to a given target cross-field. This paper investigates how the orientation of the applied demagnetizing magnetomotive force (MMF) affects the demagnetization behavior of Nd-Fe-B magnets that are widely used for permanent-magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs). This paper designs and builds a customized test fixture that can produce a magnetic field with varying orientation and intensity to demagnetize magnet samples. A computer-controlled 2-D mapping device is used to record the flux density above the test samples. The measurement results are compared with the 3-D finite-element analysis simulations. The understanding and insights obtained from this paper will be used to improve the robustness of magnet design for high power density PMSMs with improved capability of withstanding demagnetization during overcurrent faults. Hexagonal LuFeO3 films have been studied using x-ray absorption and optical spectroscopy. The crystal splitting of Fe3+ is extracted as Ee′-Ee″=0.7 eV and Ea1′-Ee′=0.9 eV, and a 2.0 eV optical bandgap is determined assuming a direct gap. First-principles calculations confirm the experiments that the relative energies of crystal field splitting states do follow Ea1′>Ee′>Ee″ with slightly underestimated values and a bandgap of 1.35 eV. Epitaxial La0.67Ca0.33MnO3:SrTiO3 (LCMO:STO) composite thin films have been grown on single crystal LaAlO3(001) substrates by a cost effective polymer-assisted deposition method. Both x-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy confirm the growth of epitaxial films with an epitaxial relationship between the films and the substrates as (002)film||(002)sub and [202]film||[202]sub. The transport property measurement shows that the STO phase significantly increases the resistivity and enhances the magnetoresistance (MR) effect of LCMO and moves the metal-insulator transition to lower temperatures. For example, the MR values measured at magnetic fields of 0 and 3 T are -44.6% at 255 K for LCMO, -94.2% at 125 K for LCMO:3% STO, and -99.4% at 100 K for LCMO:5% STO, respectively. To clarify the intrinsic relationship between the mechanical properties of asphalt and its fraction composition, the SARA fraction composition and six macroscopic mechanical properties (critical cracking temperature (TCR), fatigue life (Nf), non-recoverable creep (Jnr3.2), penetration, ductility, and softening point) were investigated for 16 asphalt samples. Fraction contents of asphaltene and aromatic are strongly correlated with TCR and ductility (R2 > 0.92) that characterize the ability of asphalt to adapt to deformation at low and medium temperatures. Heavy fraction (asphaltene and resins) content is also strongly correlated with (R2 > 0.90) penetration and Jnr3.2 that characterize the resistance of the asphalt to overall deformation at medium and high temperatures. To express the changes in the four fractions simultaneously with one indicator, a statistic, average deviation of the fractions between the given asphalt and its original (marked σ), is introduced in this study to characterize the degree of asphalt aging based on the fraction changes. It normalizes the four simultaneous change indicators (percentage of SARA fractions) during asphalt aging into one indicator. This new indicator has a strong correlation with several mechanical performance indicators of asphalt, where it is strongly correlated with TCR (R2 > 0.90), ductility, and penetration, which are also well correlated with Jnr3.2 (R2 > 0.85), Nf (R2 > 0.75), and softening point (R2 > 0.75).
