Applying a NOx trap catalyst to effectively remove NOx contaminants from the oxygen–rich exhaust is still very challenging, due to the lack of use guidance based on deactivation mechanisms. The temperature–dependent Pt sintering rate constant was described using Pt dispersion determined by pulse CO chemisorption. It was found that 700–850 °C was the determining temperature regions for the significant Pt sintering, according to the sintering kinetics and the evolution of active Ptδ+ sites. The weak basicity plays a critical role in trapping NOx at low–temperature (≤300 °C), and the NOx trap efficiency decreases because of the loss of catalytic activity and medium basicity caused by forming BaAl2O4 phase. The reduction of NOx towards N2 on the Pt crystallites smaller than 18 nm is structure sensitive and decreases with losing the reducibility of catalysts. The security for long–time use of a NOx trap catalyst should be exposed to the exhaust gas within 750 °C, and effectively removing NOx contaminants requires it to be worked in the 350–500 °C regions. Passive NOx adsorber (PNA) is one of the important means to effectively reduce NOx emission control in the cold start of a diesel engine. A series of Pd/SSZ-13 catalysts with different SiO2/Al2O3 ratios (11, 17, and 25) were prepared using the impregnation method. Furthermore, the effect of the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio on the adsorption performance of Pd/SSZ-13 at low-temperature NOx under realistic exhaust conditions was studied. The results show that the Pd/SSZ-13 catalyst with a low SiO2/Al2O3 ratio after loading Pd has a higher specific surface area and palladium ion content. There is a negative correlation between NOx adsorption performance and the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio. After high-temperature heat treatment, the acid sites closely related to palladium species increase and palladium species will redisperse, producing more palladium ions. The palladium ions coexist in Pd/SSZ-13 in the form of Pd2+ and Pd+, among which Pd2+ is divided into two types: Z−Pd2+Z− and Z−[Pd(II)OH]+. The NOx adsorption performance of the Pd/SSZ-13 catalyst was significantly improved, and the higher the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio, the more obviously the advantage of NOx adsorption performance increased after heat treatment. This study investigates the specific circulation anomalies that have sustained the low Antarctic sea ice state since 2016. Firstly, we find a significant strengthening and southward shift in the Ferrel Cell (FC) during 2016–2022, resulting in a marked increase in southward transport of heat and moisture. Secondly, this enhanced FC is closely associated with a stronger mid‐latitude wave pattern. This pattern is zonally asymmetric and greatly amplifies the poleward advections of heat and moisture, leading to the increased downward longwave radiation, more liquid precipitation and sea ice retreat in specific regions, including the western Pacific and Indian Ocean sectors, Ross and northern Weddell Seas. The mechanism deduced from the short‐term period is further supported by the results of 40 ensemble members of simulations. The southward expansion of the FC and sea ice decline are closely linked to La Niña‐like conditions but may also be driven by anthropogenic global warming. Plain Language Summary: Following the sudden decline in 2016, the Antarctic sea ice extent has persisted at historically low levels. In 2023, it reached unprecedented record lows. However, the specific atmospheric circulation anomalies that have sustained the Antarctic sea ice at low levels are still unknown. It is well‐established that the Ferrel Cell, a mid‐latitude atmospheric meridional circulation, plays a pivotal role in the energy exchange between the high‐ and mid‐latitudes. Our findings indicate that the enhanced Ferrel Cell zonally intensified southward transport of heat and moisture over the sea ice regions, which sustains the overall low Antarctic sea ice state. Additionally, in the horizontal plane, the enhanced mid‐latitude wave pattern is responsible for the regional sea ice retreat over the western Pacific sector, Ross Sea, Indian Ocean sector, and northern Weddell Sea, and is also closely associated with the enhanced Ferrel Cell. The effects of the enhanced Ferrel Cell on Antarctic sea ice decline are further supported by the results of large ensemble simulations. Therefore, this study suggests that concurrent with the southward shifting of the Ferrel Cell, the stronger warm and moist air intrusions, and the increased liquid precipitation, restrict the Antarctic sea ice expansion following its sudden decline. In order to obtain a lightweight, high-strength, and customizable cellular structure to meet the needs of modern production and life, the mechanical properties of four thickness gradient honeycomb structures were studied. In this paper, four types of honeycomb structure specimens with the same porosity and different Poisson's ratios were designed and manufactured by using SLA 3D-printing technology, including the honeycomb, square honeycomb, quasi-square honeycomb, and re-entrant honeycomb structures. Based on the plane compression mechanical properties and failure mode analysis of these specimens, the thickness gradient is applied to the honeycomb structure, and four structural forms of the thickness gradient honeycomb structure are formed. The experimental results show that the thickness gradient honeycomb structure exhibits better mechanical properties than the honeycomb structure with a uniform cellular wall thickness. In the studied thickness gradient honeycomb structure, the mechanical properties of the whole structure can be significantly improved by increasing the thickness of cell walls at the upper and lower ends of the structure. The wall thickness, arrangement order, shape, and Poisson's ratio of the cell all have a significant impact on the mechanical properties of the specimens. Aims: This review aims to assess the effect of comprehensive nursing care on liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy in China. Methods: In accordance with PRISMA guidelines, we reviewed randomized controlled trials and observational studies assessing the effect of comprehensive nursing care against standard care on liver cancer patients undergoing specific interventional therapies in China, including PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL and CINAHL till June 2023. Data synthesis was conducted using a random‐effects model and reported as pooled odds ratio (OR) or mean difference (MD) or standardized mean differences (SMD). Results: Ten Chinese studies with 1682 participants were evaluated. Comprehensive nursing care significantly enhanced patient outcomes in liver cancer treatment. Quality of life improved markedly (OR: 0.16, 95% CI: 0.06–0.41). Notable reductions were observed in anxiety (MD: −8.96, 95% CI: −11.52 to −6.40) and depression (MD: −9.47, 95% CI: −11.79 to −7.14). Patients also experienced increased physical (SMD: 1.70, 95% CI: 1.15–2.25), social (SMD: 1.65, 95% CI: 1.14–2.16) and activity scores (SMD: 1.94, 95% CI: 1.49–2.39), alongside a decrease in post‐treatment complications (OR: 0.28, 95% CI: 0.21–0.37), demonstrating the multifaceted benefits of comprehensive care. Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing care may improve patient outcomes in liver cancer treatment, offering potential benefits in reducing the side effects of interventional therapy. Microscopic analyses of the effects of ash on particulate matter oxidation are rather scarce. In this study, three different lubricating oils with varying ash contents were used to investigate their effects on the nanostructure of diesel particulate matter. The nanostructure and nanostructure parameters, including fringe length, fringe separation distance, and fringe tortuosity, were studied using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results show that all samples obtained from blending with different lubricant oil present typical core–shell structures. The inner cores remain relatively unchanged, whereas the thickness of the outer shells increases with the increasing ash content in the lubricant oil under the same working conditions. The fringe length increases and the fringe separation distance decreases with the rising ash content in the lubricant oil operating in the same working conditions. The fringe tortuosity decreases when the ash content in the lubricant oil increases from 0.92% to 1.21%, but shows little change when the ash content in the lubricant oil increases from 1.21% to 1.92%. Based on the effects of ash on the nanostructure parameters, it can be inferred that the oxidation activity of particles decreases with increasing ash content in the lubricant oil. Simple Summary: Haemophilus parasuis (H. parasuis, HPS) is a prominent pathogenic bacterium in pig production. Its infection leads to widespread fibrinous inflammation in various pig tissues and organs, often in conjunction with various respiratory virus infections, and leads to substantial economic losses in the pig industry. In this study, we used recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR) technology to establish a convenient detection and analysis system for H. parasuis. The process from sample to results can be completed within 1 h with high sensitivity (0.163 pg/μL of DNA template), which is 104 folds higher than the common PCR method. The specificity test results show that the RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a analysis of H. parasuis did not react with other common pig pathogens. Moreover, the method allows results to be visualized with blue light. The accurate and portable detection method holds great potential for H. parasuis control in the pig industry, especially in areas where specialized equipment is not available. The process from sample to results can be completed within 1 h with high sensitivity (0.163 pg/μL of DNA template, p < 0.05), which is 104 -fold higher than the common PCR method. The specificity test results show that the RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a analysis of H. parasuis did not react with other common pig pathogens, including Streptococcus suis type II and IX, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Streptococcus suis, and Staphylococcus aureus (p < 0.0001). The RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a assay was applied to 15 serotypes of H. parasuis clinical samples through crude extraction of nucleic acid by boiling method, and all of the samples were successfully identified. It greatly reduces the time and cost of nucleic acid extraction. Moreover, the method allows results to be visualized with blue light. Methane is the second largest greenhouse gas, with an annual warming potential 26~28 times that of CO2. The main components of exhaust emissions from natural gas vehicles are incompletely burned methane waste gas and high concentrations of water (up to 20%). Numerous studies have indicated that water can significantly affect the catalytic stability of the Pd active component and the alumina support. Therefore, the treatment of methane in high-humidity exhaust gas has been a hot research topic in the post-treatment catalysts for natural gas vehicles. How to treat these low-concentration methane waste gases in a high-humidity atmosphere has always been a hot topic in academic research. In this study, modified supports (AlLa5, AlLa10, and AlLa15) were prepared using the incipient wetness impregnation method, and 0.5% Pd was loaded onto the modified supports and unmodified support (γ-Al2O3) using the excess impregnation method. The effect of the introduction of La on the water-thermal stability of the catalyst for methane oxidation was investigated. The prepared catalysts were characterized by N2 physical adsorption-desorption, CO-TPR, XPS, and XRD. The results showed that the addition of La significantly improved the water-thermal stability of the catalyst in methane oxidation, with Pd/AlLa5 exhibiting the best hydrothermal-resistant performance. Endometriosis is a common gynecological illness in women of reproductive age that significantly decreases life quality and fertility. Paeonol has been shown to play an important part in endometriosis treatments. Understanding the mechanism is critical for treating endometriosis. In this study, autologous transplantation combined with a 28 day ice water bath was used to create a rat model of endometriosis with cold clotting and blood stagnation. The levels of estradiol and progesterone in plasma were detected by ELISA, and the pathological changes of ectopic endometrial tissue were examined by H&E staining, which proved the efficacy of paeonol. For metabolomic analysis of plasma samples, UPLC-Q/TOF-MS was combined with multivariate statistical analysis to identify the influence of paeonol on small molecule metabolites relevant to endometriosis. Finally, the key targets were screened using a combination of network pharmacology and molecular docking approaches. The results showed that the pathological indexes of rats were improved and returned to normal levels after treatment with paeonol, which was the basis for confirming the efficacy of paeonol. Metabolomics results identified 13 potential biomarkers, and paeonol callbacks 7 of them, involving six metabolic pathways. Finally, four key genes were found for paeonol therapy of endometriosis, and the results of molecular docking revealed a significant interaction between paeonol and the four key genes. This study was successful in establishing a rat model of endometriosis with cold coagulation and blood stagnation. GCH1, RPL8, PKLR, and MAOA were the key targets of paeonol in the treatment of endometriosis. In order to reduce the weight of the panels used in buildings and minimize the use of wood, it is of great practical significance to study the mechanical properties of wood-based sandwich structures for adaptation to modern wood-structured buildings. In this paper, a wood-based pyramid structure specimen with large interconnection space was designed and prepared first. Based on the results of the flat compression, in order to strengthen the core layer of the sandwich structure, an interlocking grid structure can be used. The mechanical properties of two kinds of structure specimens, including bearing capacity, compressive strength, specific strength, load–mass ratio, safety factor distribution, and specific energy absorption, were studied by means of experimental test, theoretical analysis, and finite element analysis. It was concluded that the apparent density of the two structures was lower than that of the materials of which they were composed. However, the overall flat compressive strength of the two structures was higher than that of their constituent materials, which were high-strength materials in the field of natural materials. The mechanical properties of the interlocking grid structures were better than those of the pyramid structures. Based on the criterion of cell structure stability, it can be concluded that the wood-based pyramid structure was a flexural-dominant structure, and the interlocking grid structure was a tensile-dominant structure. Recent work has suggested that tropical Pacific decadal variability and external forcings have had a comparable influence on the observed changes in the Southern Hemisphere summertime eddy‐driven jet over the satellite era. Here we contrast the zonally asymmetric response of the Southern Hemisphere eddy‐driven jet to tropical Pacific decadal variability by designing an atmosphere‐only PAC‐A experiment using the Community Atmosphere Model version 5 (CAM5) and comparing it with the fully coupled Community Earth System Model Version 1 (CESM1) tropical Pacific pacemaker (PAC‐C) experiments. In both frameworks, the tropical Pacific sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies are identical (model climatology plus observed anomalies), which allows the PAC‐C and PAC‐A experiments to be used to estimate the impact of coupling on teleconnections from the tropical Pacific to the Southern Hemisphere extratropics. The observed summertime South Pacific jet intensification is reproduced in both coupled and uncoupled experiments, indicating that the central and eastern tropical Pacific (hereafter, tropical Pacific) SST impacts the South Pacific jet mainly via direct atmospheric teleconnections. By contrast, only the coupled PAC‐C captures the summertime poleward shift of the South Atlantic‐Indian jet, suggesting that air‐sea coupling is essential in driving the teleconnections between tropical Pacific SST anomalies and South Atlantic‐Indian jet variations. Pigs infected by pseudorabies virus (PRV) display necrotic pathology in multiple organs. The mechanism by which PRV induces cell death is still unclear. Recently, necroptosis was identified as a programmed process dependent on the receptor interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) and mixed lineage kinase-like protein (MLKL). In this study, we demonstrated that PRV induced RIPK3-dependent necroptosis in PK-15 cells. The data showed that PRV infection caused cell death with Propidium Iodide (PI)-positive staining. Transmission electron microscopy analysis indicated plasma membrane disruption in PRV-infected cells. A pan-caspase inhibitor did not prevent PRV-induced necrotic cell death. Western blot analysis indicated that caspase-3 and caspase-8 were not cleaved during PRV infection. Although the transcription of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) was increased by PRV infection, RIPK1 was shown to be not involved in PRV-induced necrotic cell death by use of its specific inhibitor. Further experiments indicated that the phosphorylation of RIPK3 and MLKL was upregulated in PRV-infected cells. Stable shRNA knockdown of RIPK3 or MLKL had a recovery effect on PRV-induced necrotic cell death. Meanwhile, viral titers were enhanced in RIPK3 and MLKL knockdown cells. Hence, we concluded that initiation of necroptosis in host cells plays a limiting role in PRV infection. In this letter, a compact wideband bandpass filter (BPF) with a wide stopband is proposed based on the substrate integrated defected ground structure (SIDGS) and folded stepped-impedance resonator (FSIR). Such a SIDGS resonator can not only allocate a specific resonance with compact size but also introduce the different harmonic positions compared with a traditional microstrip line resonator. Meanwhile, due to the discrepant harmonic positions of proposed SIDGS and FSIR, a wide stopband response can be achieved using a compact stacked-coupled scheme. To verify the mechanism, a miniaturized wideband BPF operating at 1.69 GHz (i.e., ƒ0) is implemented and fabricated. A measured wide stopband up to 11.8 ƒ0 with a 20-dB rejection level is achieved. For viral replication to occur in host cells, low-molecular-weight metabolites are necessary for virion assembly. Recently, metabolomics has shown great promise in uncovering the highly complex mechanisms associated with virus-host interactions. In this study, the metabolic networks in PK-15 cells infected with a variant virulent or classical attenuated pseudorabies virus (PRV) strains were explored using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. Although total numbers of metabolites whose levels were altered by infection with the variant virulent strain or the classical attenuated strain were different at 8 and 16 h post infection (hpi), the predicted levels of differential metabolic components were shown to be associated with specific pathways, including glycolysis as well as amino acid and nucleotide metabolism. The glucose depletion and glycolysis inhibitors 2DG and oxamate could reduce the level of PRV replication in PK-15 cells. In addition, the inhibition of the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) resulted in an obvious decline of viral titers, but the prevention of oxidative phosphorylation in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle had a minimal effect on viral replication. Glutamine starvation resulted in the decline of viral titers, which could be restored by supplemental addition in the culture media. However, inhibition of glutaminase (GLS) activity or the supplement of 2-ketoglutarate into glutamine-deleted DMEM did not alter PRV replication in PK-15 cells. The results of the current study indicate that PRV reprograms the metabolic activities of PK-15 cells. The metabolic flux from glycolysis, PPP and glutamine metabolism to nucleotide biosynthesis was essential for PRV to enhance its replication. Two high‐resolution versions of a Coupled Earth System Model (CESM1.3: 0.25° atmosphere, 1° ocean; CESM1.1: 0.25° atmosphere, 0.1° ocean) are compared to the standard resolution CESM1.1 and CESM1.3 (1° atmosphere, 1° ocean). The CESM1.3 versions are documented, and the consequences of model resolution, air‐sea coupling, and physics in the atmospheric models are studied with regard to storm tracks in the Southern Hemisphere as represented by 850‐hPa eddy kinetic energy. Increasing the resolution from 1° to 0.25° in the atmosphere (same physics) coupled to the 1° ocean intensifies the strength of the storm tracks closer to observations. The 0.25° atmosphere with the older CESM1.1 physics coupled to the 0.1° ocean has fewer low clouds, warmer Southern Ocean sea surface temperatures, a weaker meridional temperature gradient, and a degraded storm track simulation compared to the 0.25° atmosphere with CESM1.3 physics coupled to the 1° ocean. Therefore, deficient physics in the atmospheric model can negate the gains attained by higher resolution in atmosphere and ocean. Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-associated mortality throughout the world. The prognosis of the disease depends on many factors including the stage and type of cancer. Many studies have identified various microRNAs (miRNAs) that affect the prognosis of lung cancer. In order to systemically analyze the available clinical data, the present study performed a meta-analysis to examine all evidence on the potential role of miRNAs as novel predictors of survival in lung cancer. Literature published in English prior to February 1st, 2018 was searched through PubMed to review all of the associations between individual miRNAs and groups of miRNAs with the prognosis of lung cancer. Data was extracted using standard forms and pooled odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated. A total of 15 eligible studies were included in the meta-analysis. These represented 1,753 lung cancer patients and 20 miRNAs. A total of 8 downregulated miRNAs were associated with poorer overall survival (OS) [hazard ratio (HR)=0.59, 95% CI: 0.47–0.75, P<1×10−4], while 10 upregulated miRNAs were associated with poorer OS (HR=1.76, 95% CI: 1.31–2.35, P<1×10−4). Additionally, low miRNA expression was associated with lymph node metastasis [LNM; relative risk (RR)=0.53, 95% CI: 0.46–0.61, P<1×10−4]. The expression of miRNAs was not associated with lung cancer stage (RR=1.07, 95% CI: 0.94–1.22, P=0.23). A severe Cr-contaminated site was left after the demolition of a Chemical plant. Based on the preliminary monitoring results and related literature data, this paper studied how to prevent and control the possible contamination from the site to Jialing River effectively, which is building an intercept contamination dam in the side of the contaminated site along Jialing River and constructing leachate collection system in the site. This is the antifouling effect: in the same stratum of the same elevation, the Cr 6+ content inside the intercept contamination dam (soil:144.8 mg/kg∼827.4 mg/kg, leaching solution: 7.3 mg/L∼55.1 mg/L) is higher than that of the outside (soil:10.4 mg/kg∼64.9 mg/kg, leaching solution: 0.27 mg/L∼0.63 mg/L); Water level of monitoring hole inside the dam is higher than that of the outside; the water level difference is 3.26m to 5.39m. In order to obtain a lightweight, high strength, and large design space wooden sandwich structure to meet the needs of modern wooden buildings, the mechanical properties of a fabricated 2D wooden pyramid lattice sandwich structure were studied. In this paper, the mechanical and compressive properties of the specimens with different arrangement of Lattice Sandwich unit cells are studied. The upper and lower panels and core materials are made into a single unit cell by inserting glue, and the prefabricated 2D wooden pyramid lattice truss core sandwich structure is prepared by the mortise tenon splicing method. The results show that the arrangement of the unit cells in the specimen has a significant effect on the bearing capacity, energy absorption, and failure mode of the specimen, and the flat compression performance of the panel-reinforced specimen is better than that of the specimen with unreinforced veneer. The results of finite element analysis are consistent with the test results. The main failure modes are core fracture and panel cracking. These results provide a theoretical basis for the system design of wood-based lattice sandwich structure in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A series of model NO x storage-reduction (NSR) catalysts with different Rh/Pt weight ratios were prepared independently by wet impregnation and then mechanically mixed to investigate the effect of the Rh/Pt weight ratio on the overall NO x removal efficiency and nitrogen yield. XRD, EDS and H 2 -TPR studies indicated the coexistence of BaCO 3 , MnO x and BaMnO 3 phases in the catalysts. Increasing Rh/Pt weight ratio enhanced NO x reduction under the rich phase, and improved overall N 2 -yield in the kinetic regime of NO conversion, but shows a negative effect in the equilibrium-limited regime above 400 °C.
