Nanoplastics, an emerging contaminant, pose risks to fetal neural development, transferring from mother to offspring via placenta and breast milk. Assessing these risks, hippocampal CA3 samples from nanopolystyrene-exposed rat offspring were proteomically analyzed. Findings revealed reduced expression of neural developmental proteins (KIF21A, STMN2, DMTN, DLG1) and increased inhibitory proteins (PZP, α-2M, FN1, SERPINA1, ALOX15) in the hippocampus. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis highlighted ferroptosis enrichment, validated by significantly expressed ALOX15 and TF proteins. These alterations suggest nanopolystyrene's potential contribution to cognitive deficits and neurodevelopmental disorders, emphasizing its hazardous impact on neural development. Palmprint recognition (PPR) has recently garnered attention due to its robustness and accuracy. Many PPR methods rely on preprocessing the region of interest (ROI). However, the emergence of ROI attacks capable of generating synthetic ROI images poses a significant threat to PPR systems. Despite this, ROI attacks are less practical since PPR systems typically take hand images as input rather than just the ROI. Therefore, there is a pressing need for a method that specifically targets the system by composing hand images. The intuitive approach involves embedding an ROI into a hand image, a comparatively simpler process requiring less data than generating entirely synthetic images. However, embedding faces challenges, as the composited hand image must maintain a consistent color and texture. To overcome these challenges, we propose a training-free, end-to-end hand image composition method incorporating ROI harmonization and palm blending. The ROI harmonization process iteratively adjusts the ROI to seamlessly integrate with the hand using a modified style transfer method. Simultaneously, palm blending employs a pretrained inpainting model to composite a hand image with a continuous transition. Our results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a high attack performance on the IITD and Tongji datasets, with the composited hand images exhibiting realistic visual quality. Marfan syndrome (MFS) is a heritable dominant disorder of fibrous connective tissue, caused by mutations in the gene encoding fibrillin-1 on chromosome 15. Here, we report an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line generated from a patient with MFS who carries a heterozygous mutation of c.2777G > A(p.Cys926Tyr) in the FBN1 gene using an episomal method. The hiPS-MFS cell line has normal karyotype, expresses pluripotency markers, and has the ability to form three germ layers in vivo.This MFS-specific iPSC line can be used as a cell disease model to study the pathogenesis of Marfan syndrome. With the continuous optimization of energy structures, wind power generation has become the dominant new energy source. The strong random fluctuation of natural wind will bring challenges to power system dispatching, so it is necessary to predict wind power. In order to improve the short-term prediction accuracy of regional wind power, this paper proposes a new combination prediction model based on convolutional neural network (CNN) and similar days analysis. Firstly, the least square fitting and batch normalization (BN) are used to preprocess the data, and then the recent historical wind power data set for CNN is established. Secondly, the Pearson correlation coefficient and cosine similarity combination method are utilized to find similar days in the long-term data set, and the prediction model based on similar days is constructed by the weighting method. Finally, based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) method, a combined forecasting model is established. The results show that the combined model can accurately predict the future short-term wind power curve, and the prediction accuracy is improved to different extents compared to a single method. Abstract: Emerging evidence suggests that a high level of circulating heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) correlates with a lower risk of vascular disease; however, the biological significance of this inverse relationship has not been explored. Herein, we report that oxidative low density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) and homocysteine (Hcy) induce HSP70 release from endothelial cells. In rat endothelial cells, Ox-LDL and Hcy induced robust release of HSP70, independent of the classical route of endoplasmic reticulum/Golgi protein trafficking or the formation of lipid rafts. In contrast, Ox-LDL and Hcy significantly enhanced the exosomal secretory rate and increased the HSP70 content of exosomes. Exogenous HSP70 had no impact on LPS-, Ox-LDL- and Hcy-induced activation of endothelial cells, whereas HSP70 did activate monocytes alone, resulting in monocyte adhesion to endothelial cells. These results indicate that exosome-dependent secretion of HSP70 from endothelial cells provides a novel paracrine mechanism to regulate vascular endothelial functional integrity.
