The presence of nonylphenol (NP) in bromide-containing water contributed to the formation of regulated disinfection by-products (DBPs): trihalomethanes-4 (THM4) and haloacetic acids-5 (HAA5). This study investigates the effects of ozonation pH on the degradation of NP, DBP formation, and DBP-estimated cytotoxicity. The ozonation pH was varied to 5, 7, and 9 to determine the effect of acidic, neutral, and alkaline conditions. The increase of ozonation initial pH improved the NP degradation. Ozonation of all initial pH conditions could decrease TCM, BDCM, and BDCM formation but increase the TBM formation at alkaline conditions. The formation of mono-HAA5 on the other hand, increased at all ozonation initial pH. Ozonation at acidic and neutral initial conditions can reduce the estimated cytotoxicity of the total formation of THM4 and HAA5 by 74.34 % and 93.31 %, respectively. In contrast, DBP's estimated cytotoxicity was raised by 33.72 % upon ozonation at an initial pH of alkaline. According to the study's findings, lowering the cytotoxicity of DBPs in acidic or alkaline environments can be achieved without changing the ozonation's pH. Based on these findings, pH changes are not required to reduce DBP during ozonation of NP-bromide-containing water. Future research on the impact of natural organic matter is recommended to investigate ozonation's capacity to reduce DBP production during ozonation of NP-containing natural water.

This study was conducted to determine the impact of ozonation initial pH and UVC-combination process in NP, its precursor properties to THM4 and HAA5, degradation. The UVC-combination process was conducted with standalone UVC, UVC/O3, and photocatalytic ozonation using UVC/O3/TiO2. All the process was conducted for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30min. The samples that have gone through the UVC-combination process were then chlorinated for 24 h to determine the formation of DBPs. The standalone UVC process was sufficient to degrade NP in water with a removal efficiency of 78.99 %. In addition, the UVC/O3 and UVC/O3/TiO2 process enhances significantly the NP degradation, achieving 91.15 % and 99.15 % respectively. Although the NP was successfully degraded during the UVC-combination process, the formation of THM4 and HAA5 increased significantly. The UVC/O3 process is the best choice in removing the NP and THM4 and HAA5 formation with 84.34 %, 94.27 %, and 62.19 % respectively after 5min irradiation process.

The digital world is predicted to be a crucial point for all human activities, including business activities. Some indicators that can be used today include the increase in expenditure on digital advertising, the growth in the use of smartphones that provide easy internet access. This article analyzes the implementation of the emergence of new entrepreneurs who use the digital world as a form of electronic marketing (e-marketing). This research approach uses a phenomenological approach, in the context of qualitative research. The researcher measures as a facilitator who contributes to the reality constructed by the subject of the research. The purpose of this article is the urgency of implemention Google Maps for sustainable business. The results of this research evidence that the implementation of e-marketing based on Google maps conducted by Muslim entrepreneurs has a positive impact on the increase of income and the role of technology that facilitates and insure the sustainability of Muslim Entrepreneurs because it is appropriate with the concept of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Studies have suggested that both carrot (Daucus carota L.) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) callus extracts contain antoxidant compounds that might have the potental to protect cells from free radicals such as H2O2 that contribute to cell damage. The other sources of free radical exposure in human cells, such as UV‐B, should also be examined. UV‐B exposure can trigger increased expression of inflammatory cytokines such as cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX‐2) and tumor necrosis factor‐α (TNF‐α) and the antinflammatory cytokine interleukin‐10 (IL‐10), which causes photoaging. This study was conducted to investigate the cytoprotectve actvity of carrot and tomato callus aqueous extracts by observing cell viability using the MTT assay. Immunocytochemistry methods were used to examine the effects of carrot and tomato callus aqueous extracts on the expression of COX‐2, TNF‐α, and IL‐10 in human dermal fibroblast adult (HDFa) cells exposed to UV‐B light. Carrot and tomato callus aqueous extracts were obtained by the maceration method using aqua bidistilled solvent. Results showed that both carrot and tomato callus aqueous extracts at 0.5 mg/mL exhibited the highest cytoprotective effect in HDFa cells compared to that at other concentratons. Both carrot and tomato callus aqueous extracts could also decrease the expression of COX‐2 and TNF‐α, whereas carrot callus aqueous extract increased the expression of the anti‐inflammatory cytokine IL‐10 in HDFa cells.

Abstract Anaerobic digestion plays an important role in the gastrointestinal tract and in organic waste treatment. Thermodynamic analysis based on the reaction Gibbs free energy can be used to predict the favorability of some reactions occurring during anaerobic digestion. In this study, we used a thermodynamic approach to evaluating reactions and stoichiometric coefficients of the anaerobic process of in vitro rumen microbiota. The favorability of glucose, butyrate, propionate, and hydrogen utilizations was analyzed by calculating the Gibbs free energy change of each reaction. A previously published Gibbs free energy dissipation method was also used to calculate stoichiometric coefficients of the total metabolism reaction of glucose and hydrogen utilization. For glucose utilization in which the metabolism follows several different pathways, the fraction of glucose following each pathway is estimated by considering the number of electron transfer attributed throughout the catabolism reaction. Glucose utilization always occurs in the system, and the syntrophic correlation among butyrate, propionate, and hydrogen utilizations run well with propionate utilization following the alternative pathway that yields lower hydrogen. The approach applied in this research significantly reduces the stoichiometric coefficients that must be predicted in kinetic modeling. To verify the calculation result, the yield coefficients obtained were then applied in the previous mechanistic model of in vitro rumen microbiota, and the results were compared to the experimental data from literature.

This study examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on hygiene practices and water consumption in Indonesia. Data were collected through an online survey, supplemented by the official national socio-economic survey. The findings indicate an increase in hygiene practices, particularly handwashing, aligned with health protocols. This behavior led to higher water and hygiene product usage, unaffected by socio-economic factors. Respondents' perception of COVID-19 and compliance with health protocols drove the increase, with older individuals preferring handwashing with water and younger individuals favoring hand sanitizer. Access to improved drinking water remained stagnant, while bottled water consumption rose. This highlights challenges in achieving the SDG 6 targets for safe drinking water. This study stresses the need to address COVID-19 perception to promote better hygiene practices and raises concerns about increased water usage, domestic pollution, and wastewater management during and after the pandemic. These insights could inform policymakers, researchers, and practitioners working in public health and water management to achieve SDG 6 goals amidst the pandemic and beyond. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, CNCs were extracted from durian rind. Modification to CNCs with saponin was conducted at 50 °C for one h. CNCs and CNCs-saponin were employed as dexamethasone carriers. Modification to CNCs using saponin did not change the relative crystallinity of CNCs. CNCs' molecular structure and surface chemistry did not alter significantly after modification. Both nanoparticles have surface charges independently of pH. Dexamethasone-released kinetics were studied at two different pH (7.4 and 5.8). Higuchi, Ritger–Peppas, first-order kinetic and sigmoidal equations were used to represent the released kinetic data. The sigmoidal equation was found to be superior to other models. The CNCs and CNCs-saponin showed burst release at 30 min. The study indicated that cell viability decreased by 30% after modification with saponin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Indonesia has the fourth largest population in the world and in the coming years food production will need to catch up with its growth. To fulfill the protein demand of this growing population, the productivity of the Indonesian agricultural sector should be increased. This can be achieved either by expanding the agricultural land or by increasing the productivity of existing agricultural land and protein use efficiency. An expansion of agricultural land is not always possible or desirable: large parts of Indonesia comprise forest areas, including tropical rain forests. Consequently, the optimization of the use of existing agricultural land is inevitable. The present manuscript describes and discusses the current protein consumption and production in Indonesia. It presents the levels predicted for 2035, which would imply a strong gap between consumption and production. Alternatives therefore need to be considered to avoid protein shortage in the future. Background: Nurses in public health centers, or known as public health nurses (PHNs), have duties in implementing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts. In Indonesia, there is no basic reference to the competencies that should be performed by PHNs. The provision of health services in the community should cover two areas, namely inside and outside the building (Minister of Health's Regulation No. 279 Year 2006); it causes nurses in the community to further hone their skills while in the field. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the competencies of the Indonesian PHNs from experts using the C/PHN competencies of the Quad Council Coalition through a Delphi method. Methods: This study was quantitative research with a Delphi method. We employed a purposive sampling technique to recruit the experts of public health nurses. The experts did a Delphi method to identify, analyze, and modify the C/PHN Competencies of the Quad Council Coalition into the Indonesian version of C/PHN Competencies with local cultures. Results: Results showed that from eight domains of the Quad Council Coalition C/PHN competencies, there were changes for priority of the PHN competencies in Indonesia. All priorities were classified into eight groups, namely: (1) Leadership Skills and Thinking Systems; (2) Community Dimensions of Practice; (3) Assessment Analytic; (4) Policy Development and Program Planning; (5) Communication Skills; (6) Financial Planning and Management and Planning; (7) Public Health Sciences Skills; and (8) Cultural Competency. Conclusion: The Quad Council Coalition of C/PHN competencies are appropriate with the Indonesian PHN competencies, although the priority is changed related to local wisdom as stated in the Minister of Health's Regulation No. 279 Year 2006. Purpose: The objective of this study was to identify the availability, possible applications, and economic potential of proteins that are present in different parts of the rubber tree. Proteins from non-food sources can be used in e.g. animal feed or biochemicals production with no or little competition with food production, rendering them important biobased feedstock. Rubber tree is primarily grown for its latex that is used in rubber production. Indonesia has the largest rubber plantation area that is mostly owned and run by smallholder farmers. Using non-latex fractions from the rubber tree may generate additional income, and increase the economics of rubber plantations in general. Methods: Several biomass streams from the rubber tree and subsequent latex processing were considered. Data were compiled from literature, a case study, and interviews with researchers, smallholder farmers, and managers at rubber processing plant and plantation. Results: Latex waste streams, seeds, and leaves were considered to have the highest potential based on the amount of available proteins, and processes to isolate proteins from these streams were proposed. Isolation of specific functional properties from natural sources requires complex (and expensive) separation processes and therefore only economically feasible when specific use of the protein(s) for high value applications can be identified. Purification of many interesting proteins from latex fractions has already been described. Processing of seeds and leaves may also yield useful proteins for food, other purposes, and also still unknown high value applications. Conclusions: A biorefinery concept can be applied to obtain multiple products from the seeds and leaves, and protein extraction can be performed with available knowledge and technology. Amino acids are important in human and animal diet, as well as being potential feedstocks for chemical production. Amino acids can be obtained from protein after hydrolysis. In addition, several agro-industrial residues already contain a mixture of free amino acids. The objective of this study was to develop a method for amino acids separation, starting from mixtures containing amino acids, and using antisolvent precipitation with ethanol. Protamylasse, rubber seed protein hydrolysates, and grass juice were used in the experiments, representing existing and potential agro-industrial residues. Our results show that in a water-ethanol system, some amino acids had lower solubility in mixtures than as a single component, thereby facilitating precipitation. A sufficiently high total amino acid concentration in the mixture is needed to achieve precipitation; therefore, a concentration step is sometimes required. Ethanol precipitation can be applied as a pretreatment to separate mixtures into groups of amino acids or a polishing step to increase purity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Stroke remains a prominent cause of disability and high mortality rates, particularly within Indonesia. Timely intervention during the critical phases of a stroke can mitigate disabilities and fatalities. Health education stands as a pivotal strategy for implementing health promotion and disease prevention initiatives. This study seeks to evaluate the efficacy of employing the flipbook F-A-S-T method as an educational tool to enhance early stroke detection utilizing the F-A-S-T media in a prehospital context. Utilizing a quantitative approach and a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pre-post test design, this research applies purposive sampling for participant selection. Initial knowledge assessments yielded a mean pretest score of 72.88±2.818. Following the intervention, the mean posttest score increased to 82.24±1.640. Statistical analysis indicated a p-value of 0.000, signifying a significant difference in knowledge levels before and after the educational intervention. The study findings strongly suggest that the implementation of flipbook F-A-S-T methods as an educational medium substantially enhances knowledge regarding the early detection of stroke utilizing the F-A-S-T method in a prehospital setting. This underscores the potential of such educational tools in improving public awareness and preparedness in the context of stroke, ultimately contributing to more favorable outcomes and reduced stroke-related disability and mortality rates.

ABSTRACTIndonesia lies on the ring of fire and this includes Yogyakarta province which had experienced some earthquakes. The earthquake that occurred in 2006 caused thousands of people died. Most of the survivors were elderly people and children. Children are a vulnerable group, especially those with special needs. School is the first reference to teach earthquake disaster preparedness to children. This research used observational descriptive design. Purposive sampling technique was used, and data was collected through observation sheet. Respondents were with autism in Special School of Negeri Pembina Yogyakarta (n=23). Storytelling and Simulation on Earthquake Disaster Preparedness gave positive influence towards the mitigation ability by children with special needs, especially those with autism. There were nine children with autism in the category of low IQ, six in the category of average IQ and eight children in the category of superior IQ. Before the storytelling was conducted, children’s ability and involvement in the simulation was 35% (8 children). Conversely, the children’s ability and involvement raised to 78% (18 children) after being given five times (5x) simulation and storytelling. Storytelling and simulation method were effective as training methods in earthquake disaster mitigation on children with autism. There was 43% increase of mitigation level before and after intervention.ABSTRAKDaerah di Indonesia merupakan ring of fire dan Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu daerah yang mengalami gempa bumi. Gempa yang terjadi pada tahun 2006 menimbulkan banyak korban, mayoritas adalah orang lanjut usia dan anak-anak. Anak-anak merupakan kelompok rentan terlebih anak dengan berkebutuhan khusus. Sekolah sebagai tempat rujukan pertama untuk memberikan edukasi siaga bencana terhadap anak-anak.Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif observasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampel sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dengan lembar observasi. Metode pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Responden yang mengikuti penelitian ini sebanyak 23 anak autis. Pemberian simulasi siaga bencana gempa bumi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan mitigasi anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan autis. Anak autis dengan kategori IQ rendah 9 orang, IQ sedang 6 orang dan IQ tinggi 8 orang. Sebelum diberikan pembelajaran story telling, kemampuan dan keterlibatan anak dalam melakukan simulasi sebanyak 35% (8 anak) namun setelah diberikan pembelajaran dan simulasi sebanyak 5x, kemampuan dan keterlibatan anak meningkat sebanyak 78% (18 anak). Metode simulasi efektif sebagai pembelajaran mitigasi bencana gempa bumi pada anak autis. Peningkatan kemampuan mitigasi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran sebanyak 43%.

ABSTRACT Cardiac arrest is a major public health problem affecting thousands of individuals each year in both out-of-hospital and in-hospital setting. High quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide return of spontaneous after cardiac arrest, but majority of nursing students feel unconfident to practice CPR. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of CPR training program on knowledge and practices of nursing students in Yogyakarta. The study design was quasi-experimental and one group pretest – posttest design. A questionnaire was applied to the students before CPR training, then the student were informed about adult CPR by the researchers and all of the students practice CPR on a Resusci-Anne manikin. One months after this training the same questionnaire and skills checklist of CPR were apllied. Sixty five students of nursing participated in this study. This study show CPR training significantly positive impact cognitive and skills performance in nursing students. While the average CPR knowledge score of these students was 44,43%, before CPR training, this average increased to 89,64% after CPR training and decreased to 77,54% after one month CPR training. Skill score of the students one month after the CPR skill training was 70,61%. Nursing students tend to forget theoretical and applied CPR training after one month. Hence there is a need for continuous CPR training and education and repeating the skills at regular intervals ever after they have graduated to ensure sustainability in the CPR skills.Keywords : cardiopulmonary resuscitation, bystander CPR, training ABSTRAKHenti jantung merupakan penyebab kematian utama pada kasus kegawatdaruratan kardiovaskuler, baik pada setting prehospital (OHCA) maupun intrahospital. RJP yang berkualitas dapat mengoptimalkan return of spontaneous circulation pada OHCA, tetapi banyak mahasiswa keperawatan tidak percaya diri dalam melakukan prosedur ini sehingga mereka membutuhkan pelatihan RJP, agar dapat berespon cepat, tanggap dan akurat dalam memberikan pertolongan pada korban OHCA. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh pelatihan RJP dewasa terhadap retensi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan RJP pada mahasiswa keperawatan di Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian quasi experimental dengan design one group pretest – posttest. Posttest diberikan dua kali, yaitu sesaat sesudah pelatihan dan sebulan sesudah pelatihan. Jumlah sampel yaitu 65 orang. Analisa data menggunakan pair t-test. Hasilnya, pelatihan RJP berpengaruh positif terhadap pengetahuan dan ketrampilan bystander RJP dengan p-value 0,000 ( pengetahuan 44,43%, rerata skor sesaat sesudah pelatihan 89,64% dan rerata skor sebulan sesudah pelatihan adalah 77,54%. Rata-rata skor ketrampilan sebelum pelatihan adalah 35,55%, rerata skor sesaat setelah pelatihan 91,80% dan rerata skor sebulan setelah pelatihan 70,61%. Penurunan retensi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mahasiswa sebulan sesudah pelatihan RJP kemungkinan disebabkan karena mahasiswa kurang terpapar kasus pasien dengan henti jantung yang membutuhkan tindakan RJP.Kata Kunci: resusitasi jantung paru, pelatihan, bystander RJP

The existence of Wayang Orang (a form of traditional Javanese stage show) in Jakarta is characterized by the involvementof the elite community who, as both performers and funders, make it possible for the art of Wayang Orang to continue to existand develop. The Kunti Nalibroto troupe, one of the elite Wayang Orang groups in Jakarta, was chosen as the object of thestudy, with the aim of discovering various facts related to the existence of Wayang Orang groups among the elite communityin Jakarta. The formulation of the problems addressed in this research is as follows: (1) Why do the elite choose the art ofWayang Orang as a way of self expression? (2) What is the concept of Wayang Orang among the elite community of KuntiNalibroto? (3) What is the potential of the elite Kunti Nalibroto Wayang Orang group? Within the conceptual framework,the concepts used are concepts of ‘role’, ‘status’, and ‘elite community’. The research uses an analytical descriptive methodwith a qualitative and phenomenological approach to outline the characteristics and facts about the Wayang Orang groupsamong elite community in Jakarta. The techniques used for collecting data included a bibliographical study, observation, andinterviews. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) The elite choose Wayang Orang as a means of selfexpression because they need an activity for relaxation in order to maintain a balanced life, and by practicing Wayang Orangthey are able to return to their traditional cultural roots and cultivate their spiritual, sensory, and physical needs; (2) TheKunti Nalibroto Wayang Orang group is a non-profit organization whose members all belong to the elite female community(socialites) and who aim to support the development of the traditional arts by holding regular Wayang Orang performances;(3) All the potential of this group is displayed to a maximum in Kunti Nalibroto’s performances, and in the future this grouphas the potential to continue to exist in the world of Wayang Orang and to make a contribution to the preservation anddevelopment of the art of Wayang Orang in Indonesia.
