The experimental data collected during the S515 experiment performed by the R3B collaboration at GSI/FAIR represent a great opportunity to investigate nucleon knockout reactions of exotic nuclei in the region of Sn using complete kinematics measurements. These cross sections can be used in the future to investigate the quenching in the knockout of the minority species (neutrons or protons) in nuclei far from stability. Some of the arguments put forward are the underestimation of the knockout of deeply bound nucleons, final state interactions or the role of short-range correlations (SRC). Recently, several works based on inclusive measurements have shown that these SRCs could reduce the single nucleon knockout cross sections by around 50%, depending on the neutron excess (N/Z) of the initial projectile. The S515 data can help us to go further in this investigation because it allows to correlate the knockout cross sections of one, two or more nucleons with the number of protons and neutrons emitted from the target and which can be detected by the CALIFA and NeuLAND detectors, respectively, and perform complete kinematical studies on the nature of the event (SRC, evaporation, emission of clusters, final-state interactions...). Here the results obtained for the charge distribution of reaction residues are presented, which is one of the first steps of the still on-going analysis.

The Coordinated Research Project of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA CRP-F41032) was launched with a goal to publish two compilations of an updated photonuclear data library and a reference database of photon strength functions. The PHOENIX (PHOto-Excitation and Neutron emIssion cross [X] sections) Collaboration has been established for the IAEA-CRP in the γ-ray beam line GACKO (GAmma Collaboration hutch of KOnan university) of the NewSUBARU synchrotron radiation facility in Japan. The collaboration provides (; xn) cross-section data to resolve the long-standing discrepancy between the Livermore and Saclay data on partial photoneutron cross sections. For the IAEA-CRP, a flat-efficiency neutron detector (FED) for (γxn) cross-section measurements was developed. The detector consists of ³He counters arranged in three concentric rings embedded in a polyethylene moderator. Due to the fact that the efficiency of the detector is constant for the neutron energies up to several MeV, it is possible to determine the partial photoneutron reactions cross sections using direct neutron-multiplicity sorting technique. The paper gives details of the experimental setup and data analysis, and preliminary results of total neutron-production cross sections in monochromatic approximation for 165Ho nucleus. Isomeric yields ratios and energy differential cross-section of metastable state excitation in the reaction has been studied in the 10-22MeV end-point energy range of bremsstrahlung beams. Isomeric yield ratios for the ll9Te, 121Te, 123Te, l27Te, and l29Te nuclei were obtained in (γ,n) reactions with bremsstrahlung endpoint energies ranging from 10 to 22 MeV in steps of 0.5 MeV. The dependence of isomeric yield ratios upon the maximum bremsstrahlung gamma-quanta energy for the Te(γ, n)Te and Te(γ, n)Te reactions within an energy range of the giant dipole resonance is investigated. Cross-sections of excitation of metastable states with J = 11/2 of the Te and Te nuclei are obtained. Dependence of isomeric ratios on maximum photon energy in the reactions 110Pd(γ, n)109 m, g Pd and 113In(γ, n)112 m, g In is studied in the energy region of bremsstrahlung 9–18 MeV with the step Δ E = 0.5 MeV. Cross sections of population of the metastable state for 109Pd and 112In in (γ, n) reactions were first obtained in the energy region under study. Photoneutron cross sections were measured for 58Ni,60Ni,61Ni, and 64Ni at energies between the one-neutron and two-neutron thresholds using quasimonochromatic γ-ray beams produced in laser Compton scattering at the NewSUBARU synchrotron radiation facility. These photoneutron data are used to extract the γ-ray strength function above the neutron threshold, complementing the information obtained by the Oslo method below the threshold. We discuss radiative neutron-capture cross sections and the Maxwellian-averaged cross sections for Ni isotopes including 63Ni, a branching point nucleus along the weak s-process path. The cross sections are calculated with the experimentally constrained γ-ray strength functions from the Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov plus quasiparticle-random-phase approximation based on the Gogny D1M interaction for both E1 and M1 components and supplemented with the M1 upbend.
