In its first phase of exploitation, JT-60SA will be equipped with an inertially cooled divertor, which can sustain heat loads of 10 MW/m2 on the targets for a few seconds, which is much shorter than the intended discharge duration. Therefore, in order to maximize the duration of discharges, it is crucial to develop operational scenarios with a high radiated fraction in the plasma edge region without unacceptably compromising the scenario performance. In this study, the core and edge conditions of unseeded and neon-seeded deuterium H-mode scenarios in JT-60SA were investigated using METIS and SOLEDGE3X–EIRENE codes. The aim was to determine whether, and under which operational conditions, it would be possible to achieve heat loads at the targets significantly lower than 10 MW/m2 and potentially establish a divertor-detached regime while keeping favorable plasma core conditions. In first analysis, an investigation of the edge parameter space of unseeded scenarios was carried out. Simulations at an intermediate edge power of 15 MW indicate that, without seeded impurities, the heat loads at the targets are higher than 10 MW/m2 in attached cases, and achieving detachment is challenging, requiring upstream electron densities at least above 4 × 1019 m−3. This points toward the need for impurity injection during the first period of exploitation of the machine. Therefore, neon seeding simulations were carried out, performing a seeding rate scan and an injected power scan while keeping the upstream electron density at the separatrix at 3 × 1019 m−3. They show that at 15 MW of power injected into the edge plasma, the inner target is easily detached and presents low heat loads when neon is injected. However, at the outer target, the heat fluxes are not lowered below 10 MW/m2, even when the power losses in the edge plasma are equal to 50% of the power crossing the separatrix. Therefore, the tokamak will probably need to be operated in a deep detached regime in its first phase of exploitation for discharges longer than a few seconds. In the framework of core–edge integrated modeling, using METIS, the power radiated in the core was computed for the most interesting cases.

Interstitial nephritis is a rare complication of anti-tuberculosis treatment, most commonly rifampicin. This case report describes a 65-year-old woman with diabetes who presented with loss of consciousness due to a major hypoglycemic episode precipitated by severe acute kidney injury, one month after initiating anti-tuberculous therapy. The presence of active urinary sediments, subnephrotic proteinuria and normal sized kidneys prompted performing a renal biopsy which showed interstitial inflammatory cell infiltration suggestive of acute interstitial nephritis, possibly drug induced. The reversal of renal impairment on cessation of rifampicin confirmed the diagnosis. As this is a reversible cause of acute kidney injury, awareness of this association and early identification is vital to prevent deterioration.

Tuna fish is commercially important because of its popularity as both canned and raw meat. Tuna account for a significant proportion of the world fishery products. These fishes are separated based on their types in the industry for exporting raw fishes and processed fish products. An automatic system that can classify fishes into different species will ease the work in such industries. The work proposes an automated tuna classification system using textural macro features. The system uses a dual-tree network with signal matched complex wavelet transform. The signal matched wavelet obtained by the lifting scheme is used to develop a complex wavelet. The complex wavelet-based deep architecture is used to extract translation and deformation invariant features. The system performance is evaluated using different classifiers with ten-fold cross-validation. Results show that the proposed system gives an accuracy of 94.58% using cubic support vector machine (SVM) classifier. The proposed system is evaluated using an independent dataset, and the system shows an accuracy of 92.55%, the precision of 92.52%, recall of 92.03%, and F-score of 92.27%. Performance of the system is compared with the state-of-the-art systems using different performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F-score, and misclassification error.

Insulin autoimmune syndrome (IAS) is an immune-mediated hyperinsulinaemic hypoglycemia in individuals previously unexposed to exogenous insulin. A 63-year-old woman developed recurrent hypoglycemic episodes despite being on optimal glycemic support. She was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and was on carbimazole. Her insulin: C peptide ratio was suggestive of exogenous insulin administration or presence of insulin autoantibodies. Her insulin antibody level was elevated. IAS was probably secondary to her carbimazole therapy.

Tuna is superior among the marine fishes that are exported in the forms of raw fish and processed food. Separation of Tuna into their species is done in industries manually, and the process is tiresome. This work proposes an automated system for classifying Tuna species based on their images. An ensemble of region-based deep neural networks is used. A sub region contrast stretching operation is applied to enhance the images. Each fish image is then divided into three regions and is augmented before giving as input to pre-trained convolutional neural networks (CNN). After fine-tuning the models, the output from the last convolutional layer is given to a grouped 2D-local binary pattern descriptor (G2DLBP). Statistical features from the descriptor are applied to different classifiers, and the best classifier for each image region model is identified. Different ensemble methods are subsequently used to combine the three CNN-G2DLBP models. Among the ensemble techniques, super learner ensemble method with random forest (RF) classifier using 5-fold cross-validation shows the highest classification accuracy of 97.32%. The performance of different ensemble methods is analyzed in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and f-score. The proposed system shows an accuracy of 93.91% when evaluated with an independent test dataset. An ensemble of region-based CNN with textural features from G2DLBP is applied for the first time for fish classification.

Two female specimens of the Furry Lobster Palinurellus wieneckii (De Man, 1881) with a total length of 118mm and 114mm, respectively, were obtained from the coral reefs off Kavaratti Island, Laccadive Islands, west of India. Only two species are currently recognized in this genus, which were described from a small number of specimens. As P. wieneckii is very rare, the present report from the Lakshadweep Archipelago provides a valuable new distribution point, which is the first record for the Arabian Sea. Illustrations and photographs are provided for this rare lobster.

The effect of different forms of basic temperature gradients on the criterion for the onset of convection in a layer of an incompressible couple-stress fluid-saturated porous medium is investigated. It is shown that the principle of exchange of stability is valid, and the eigenvalue problem is solved numerically using the Galerkin technique. The parabolic and inverted parabolic basic temperature profiles have the same effect on the onset of convection and similar is the case between piecewise linear temperature profiles heating from below and above. Amongst the various basic temperature profiles, the linear temperature profile is found to be more stabilizing on the onset of instability. In addition, the influence of thermal depth on the criterion for the onset of convection is assessed in the case of piecewise linear temperature profiles. Moreover, an increase in the value of couple-stress parameter is found to delay the onset of convection and to increase the width of convection cells. It is also noted that the critical wave numbers are slightly affected by the nature of basic temperature profiles.

This study aims to analyse the effect of an Enterococcus faecium SLB 130 probiotic on the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and blood profile in weaning pigs. A total of 200 weaning pigs were taken and assigned to 1 of 5 dietary treatments according to their average initial body weight and sex in a complete randomised block design. The experimental diets were as follows: CON - basal diet, and the basal diet supplemented with 2.5 × 105 cfu/g (TRT1), 1.29 × 106 cfu/g (TRT2), 1.15 × 107 cfu/g (TRT3), and 1.1 × 108 cfu/g (TRT4) of E. faecium for 6 weeks. Pigs fed a diet containing an E. faecium SLB 130 probiotic supplement significantly increased (P < 0.05) the body weight, average daily gain, and average daily feed intake at weeks 1, 3, 6, and the overall period. In addition, the E. faecium SLB 130 (P < 0.05) supplement group pigs showed an increased gain to feed ratio at week 6 and the overall experimental period. Moreover, the dietary inclusion of the E. faecium SLB 130 probiotic supplement linearly increased (P < 0.05) the nutrient digestibility of the dry matter and nitrogen, however, there were no improvements observed on weanling pigs' blood profile. In summary, the inclusion of an E. faecium SLB 130 probiotic additive in the weanling pigs' diet would be beneficial to enhance their growth performance and nutrient digestibility.

This paper proposes an orthogonally positioned inverted triangular monopole antenna over a compact plane reflector with stable radiation pattern for octave band of frequencies. Two triangles are placed crossed and orthogonal to each other to obtain nearly uniform omni-direction radiation pattern. The antenna is placed over a square reflector exhibits 73% bandwidth at (4.5 GHz). The measured impedance bandwidth and radiation pattern of the antenna match well with Finite Element Method (FEM) and Method of Moments (MOM) analysis of the structure. The antenna is novel in its orthogonal design and the triangles fed differently with compact reflector. The designed octave band planar antenna (3.0–6.5 GHz) has applications in Wireless LAN and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The genome groups of 34 wild and cultivated banana samples collected from 9 districts of Manipur, India were analyzed using IRAP and RAPD. IRAP-PCR analysis of the banana genome revealed that 32 out of 34 banana samples have shown presence of multiple polymorphic bands in amplified products. There were 5 genome specific bands (2 for B genome and 3 for A genome) in all the samples analyzed by using IRAP marker. Analysis of A and B genome among plant samples using RAPD-PCR generated a total of 1425 polymorphic bands by six primers (OPF-6, OPX-6, OPK-12, RAPD-6, RAPD-14 and RAPD-17). The highest number of bands was generated by OPK12 (318) followed by RAPD6 (308 bands), OPX6 (263 bands), RAPD 17 (215 bands), RAPD 14 (165 bands) and OPF6 (156 bands) respectively. Diorganotin(iv) complexes with (E)-5-((2-carboxyphenyl)diazenyl)-2-hydroxy benzoic acid [H3L] were synthesized by reacting the sodium salt of the azo-dicarboxylic acid ligand [Na2HL] with an appropriate diorganotin(iv) dichloride [R = 1 (Me), 2 (Bu) and 3 (Ph)] in anhydrous methanol. The complexes were characterized using elemental analysis, UV, IR, NMR and mass spectrometry. 119Sn NMR study of complexes 1 and 2 indicates the presence of exo-and endo-cyclic tin atoms in the complexes and both the tin atoms are suggested to have 5-coordinate geometry in solution; in complex 3, a single 119Sn-resonance was observed in the range specified for a 4-coordinate structure. The molecular structure of H3L and its dimethyltin(iv) complex {[Me2SnHLSnMe2]O}2 (1) were determined using X-ray crystallography. The structure of 1 reveals that the compound is a centro-symmetric cyclic tetranuclear tin complex which contains a Sn2O4 core. In the structure, the central Sn2O2 ring is connected to two exo-cyclic tin atoms by two μ3-oxo oxygen atoms. Each exo- and endo-cyclic tin atom exhibited a five coordinate distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry and suggested that the five coordinate structure of the complex in the solid state is also retained in solution. Topological studies of the azo-dicarboxylic acid ligand [H3L] and its cyclic tetranuclear dimethyltin(iv) complex were also carried out. The H-bonding network in H3L has been topologically classified as 2-periodic three-dimensional KIa. For the molecular packing in 1, a multilevel topological description is provided. Finally, the complexes have been screened for α-glucosidase enzyme inhibition assay as an indicator for their anti-diabetic properties and the results of the tests showed that they had better anti-diabetic activity than the standard drug acarbose. In view of extensive ethno-medicinal importance and utilization in various forms of ethnomedicinal applications of Clerodendrum colebrookianum in the north eastern region, the present paper is an effort to compile the existing information on folklore medicine uses by different communities of north eastern India. The paper also encompasses to analyze the potential aspects in scientific identification of principle compounds and formulation of druglike leads based on basic and applied research activities and for development of sustainable exploitation and conservation strategies in the near future. The present work is an extensive review and analysis of published literature supplemented by actual field surveys conducted and consultation with local healers and peoples familiar with ethnobotanical and ethnomedicinal uses of Clerodendrum colebrookianum in different parts of the north eastern India. C. colebrookianum is known by more than thirty vernacular names among 20 different tribes and communities of north eastern region. The plant is used for treatment and cure of more than 16 different diseases and ailments. The use of young and tender leaves as decoction for antihypertensive purpose was the most common form of ethnomedicinal application for the species of C .colebrookianum among all ethnic tribes and communities in the region. A detailed investigation on the phytochemical, pharmacological properties of C. colebrookianum may lead to discover the potential lead compounds or molecules against life threatening diseases of human life such as hypertension, diabetes, etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective To adapt and develop a method for finding out what proportion of the variation among small areas in the number of births to married women is excess (systematic) variation over and above the chance (random) variation. Methods We adopted a two-stage sampling procedure to select 20 sub-centres in south India. We contacted all households and collected information on recent births and socioeconomic variables from all ever married women aged 15-49 years. Systematic and random components of variance were estimated using Poisson regression, adjusting for socioeconomic factors. Results Of the observed variance in fertility, 65% is explained by the estimated systematic variation. Though many important explanatory variables are considered, the systematic variance is significant mainly among illiterate women, those aged under 18 years at marriage, the marginalized population, and those with labourer husbands. Conclusions Poisson regression can be adapted to estimate the random and systematic components of variation in fertility among small areas. The systematic component of variance can further be adjusted for socioeconomic factors. Identification of the significant predictors will help health planners develop necessary interventions at the small area level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As the Internet has become extensively utilized, developments in Internet-of-Things technologies have evolved to the point that researchers now recognize them to be cutting-edge achievements. In this work, an IoT-based smart home energy management system with multi-sensor data fusion enables online management and access of household utility and devices. The main control of the system will be a smart switch box that will oversee how much electricity and water are consumed. The potential of smart home energy management to connect and control appliances has grown and changed significantly in recent years. The suggested approach in this work is capable of gathering data for each object in our home, including operating durations and energy consumption statistics, as well as real-time tracking of the power consumed in it. The entire system is connected to the IoT Smart Box, and data are collected via IoT. The IoT-based application is used to monitor, analyze, and manage energy use. As a result, the energy loss caused by human negligence is reduced. This establishes itself as a full-fledged IoT-based smart home energy management system.

ABSTRACT A total of 792 conventional healthy 1-day-old Ross 308 broilers chicks (mixed gender) with average body weight of 42.30±1.14 g (mean ± SD) were used in the experiment, which lasted for 35 days. Chicks were randomly allotted into one of four treatment diets, each one having 11 replicate cages with 18 birds each, being fed corn-soybean meal (SBM) based diets. Dietary treatments were CON (basal diet with unvaccinated birds); OA = CON + 0.1% organic acids; ACB = CON + anti-coccidium vaccine; OAACV = CON + 0.1% organic acid + anti-coccidium vaccine. Significant results were observed, with improved body weight (p=0.059; 0.064; 0.034) during days 1-7, 8-21, and overall, respectively. Significant effects were also observed on the feed conversion ratio (p=0.037) through the overall experiment, with no effects on feed intake on OAACV as compared to other treatment groups. Total track digestibility of dry matter (p=0.049) improved significantly in the OAACV treatment group. Additionally, beneficial effects were observed in the OAACV treatment group, with improvements in fecal microbial population (increased lactobacillus) and reduced NH3 gas emissions. Broilers fed the OAACV treatment tended to display reduced drip loss in the meat samples analyzed on days 5 and 7 (p=0.067, 0.072). In summary, our findings revealed that dietary inclusion of organic acid supplementation with anti-coccidium had a beneficial effect on broilers affected by coccidian infection, also improving growth performance, digestibility, fecal Lactobacillus counts, and reducing NH3.
