Quantum revival phenomena, wherein the wave function of a quantum system periodically returns to its initial state after evolving in time, are investigated in this study. Focusing on electrons confined within a quantum box with an impurity, both weak- and strong-coupling regimes are explored, revealing intricate relationships between impurity parameters and temporal dynamics. This investigation considers the influence of impurity position, impurity strength, and external factors such as aluminum concentration, temperature and hydrostatic pressure on classical periods and revival times. Through analytical derivations and graphical analyses, this study elucidates the sensitivity of quantum revivals to these parameters, providing valuable insights into the fundamental aspects of quantum mechanics. While no specific physical applications are discussed, the findings offer implications for quantum heat engines and other quantum-based technologies, emphasizing the importance of understanding quantum revivals in confined quantum systems. Cytokinins play a relevant role in flower and fruit development and plant yield. Strawberry fruits have a high commercial value, although what is known as the "fruit" is not a "true" botanical fruit because it develops from a non-reproductive organ (receptacle) on which the true botanical fruits (achenes) are found. Given cytokinins' roles in botanical fruits, it is important to understand their participation in the development of a non-botanical or accessory "fruit". Therefore, in this work, the role of cytokinin in strawberry flowers and fruits was investigated by identifying and exploring the expression of homologous genes for different families that participate in the pathway, through publicly available genomic and expression data analyses. Next, trans-zeatin content in developing flowers and receptacles was determined. A high concentration was observed in flower buds and at anthesis and decreased as the fruit approached maturity. Moreover, the spatio-temporal expression pattern of selected CKX genes was evaluated and detected in receptacles at pre-anthesis stages. The results point to an important role and effect of cytokinins in flower and receptacle development, which is valuable both from a biological point of view and to improve yield and the quality of this fruit. In this work, we report a two-step methodology for the synthesis of small silver nanoparticles embedded into hydrogels based on chitosan (CS) and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) biopolymers. This method uses d-glucose as an external green reducing agent and purified water as a solvent, leading to an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and biocompatible process for the synthesis of silver nanocomposite hydrogels. Their characterization comprises ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectra, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy assays. Moreover, the structural stability of the hydrogels was investigated through sequential swelling–deswelling cycles. The nanomaterials showed good mechanical properties in terms of their structural stability and revealed prominent antibacterial properties due to the reduced-size particles that promote their use as new advanced antimicrobial agents, an advantage compared to conventional particles in aqueous suspension that lose stability and effectiveness. Finally, theoretical analyses provided insights into the possible interactions, charge transfer, and stabilization process of nanoclusters mediated by the high-electron-density groups belonging to CS and HPMC, revealing their unique structural properties in the preparation of nano-scaled materials. We consider the effect of a thermal bath on quantum correlations induced by the gravitational interaction in the weak field limit between two massive cat states, called gravitational cat (gravcat) states. The main goal of this paper is to provide a good understanding of the effects of temperature and several parameters in the entanglement (measured by the concurrence) and quantum coherence (measured by the l 1 -norm that is defined from the minimal distance between the quantum state and the set of incoherent states) which are derived from the thermal quantum density operator. Our results show that the thermal concurrence and l 1 -norm can be significantly optimized by increasing the masses or decreasing the distance between them. We investigate and discuss the behavior of these quantities under temperature variations in different regimes, including some that are expected to be experimentally feasible in the future. In particular, we observe that thermal fluctuations raise non-entangled quantum correlations when entanglement suddenly drops. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this work, the thermal quantum correlations in two coupled double semiconductor charge qubits are investigated. This is carried out by deriving analytical expressions for both the thermal concurrence and the correlated coherence. The effects of the tunneling parameters, the Coulomb interaction, and the temperature on the thermal entanglement and on the correlated coherence are studied in detail. It is found that the Coulomb potential plays an important role in the thermal entanglement and in the correlated coherence of the system. The results also indicate that the Coulomb potential can be used for significant enhancement of the thermal entanglement and quantum coherence. One interesting aspect is that the correlated coherence capture all the thermal entanglement at low temperatures, that is, the local coherences are totally transferred to the thermal entanglement. Finally, the role played by thermal entanglement and the correlated coherence responsible for quantum correlations are focused on. It is shown that in all cases, the correlated coherence is more robust than the thermal entanglement so that quantum algorithms based only on correlated coherence may be more robust than those based on entanglement. In this work, the use of MALDI traveling wave ion mobility spectrometry-mass spectrometry (MALDI-TWIMS-MS) for stereoselective structural analysis of direct cleavage and identification of 2-substituted piperidines obtained through solid-phase asymmetric synthesis by using heterogeneous 8-phenylmenthyl-based chiral auxiliary resins. A strategy for gas-phase chiral and structural characterization of small molecular weight molecules by using MALDI-IMS-MS technique is discussed. Because both MALDI and IMS do not directly offer chiral resolution, an easy methodology by adding a chiral phase is described to carry out in situ online ion/molecule complexation with different chiral analytes inside the mass spectrometer. Piperidine enantiomers were resolved, and separation obtained shows dependence of surface areas. To corroborate this assumption and elucidate the separation mechanism to accomplish an analytical technique by which fast determination of the chirality of molecules may be determined for a wide range organic compound applications, it was performed DFT calculations to determine the cross-sectional areas of proton-bound dimer complexes. Drift times are affected by cross-sectional areas, correlating bigger times with bigger molecular volumes during the ion mobility experiments of proton-bound dimer complexes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: In da Costa's thin‐layer approach, a quantum particle moving in a 3D sample is confined to a curved thin interface. At the end, the interface effects are ignored and the quantum particle is localized on a curved surface. A geometric potential arises and, since it is due to this confinement procedure, it depends on the transverse to the surface mass component. The effects due to an anisotropic effective mass on a noninteracting two‐dimensional electron gas confined to a curved surface are reported. By tailoring the mass, many investigations carried out in the literature can be improved, which in turn can be useful to better designing electronic systems without modifying the geometry of the given system. Some examples are examined, such as a particle on a helicoidal surface, on a cylinder, on a catenoid and on a cone, with some possible applications briefly discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this work, we investigate the combined influence of the nontrivial topology introduced by a disclination and non inertial effects due to rotation, in the energy levels and the wave functions of a noninteracting electron gas confined to a two-dimensional pseudoharmonic quantum dot, under the influence of an external uniform magnetic field. The exact solutions for energy eigenvalues and wave functions are computed as functions of the applied magnetic field strength, the disclination topological charge, magnetic quantum number and the rotation speed of the sample. We investigate the modifications on the light interband absorption coefficient and absorption threshold frequency. We observe novel features in the system, including a range of magnetic field without corresponding absorption phenomena, which is due to a tripartite term of the Hamiltonian, involving magnetic field, the topological charge of the defect and the rotation frequency. We investigate the influence of a screw dislocation on the energy levels and the wavefunctions of an electron confined in a two-dimensional pseudoharmonic quantum dot under the influence of an external magnetic field inside a dot and Aharonov–Bohm field inside a pseudodot. The exact solutions for energy eigenvalues and wavefunctions are computed as functions of applied uniform magnetic field strength, Aharonov–Bohm flux, magnetic quantum number and the parameter characterizing the screw dislocation, the Burgers vector. We investigate the modifications due to the screw dislocation on the light interband absorption coefficient and absorption threshold frequency. Two scenarios are possible, depending on if singular effects either manifest or not. We found that as the Burgers vector increases, the curves of frequency are pushed up towards of the growth of it. One interesting aspect which we have observed is that the Aharonov–Bohm flux can be tuned in order to cancel the screw effect of the model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effects of an impurity plaquette on the thermal quantum correlations measurement by the concurrence, on quantum coherence quantified by the recently proposed l1‐norm of coherence and on quantum teleportation in a Ising‐XXZ diamond chain are discussed. Such an impurity is formed by the XXZ interaction between the interstitial Heisenberg dimers and the nearest‐neighbor Ising coupling between the nodal and interstitial spins. All the interaction parameters are different from those of the rest of the chain. By tailoring them, quantum entanglement and quantum coherence can be controlled and tuned. Therefore, the quantum resources—thermal entanglement and quantum coherence—of the model exhibit a clear performance improvement in comparison to the original model without impurities. It is demonstrated that quantum teleportation can be tuned by its inclusion. Thermal teleportation is modified in a significant way as well, and a strong increase in the average fidelity is observed.
