Background: Dyslipidemia, characterized by elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Rosuvastatin, a statin medication, is commonly prescribed to lower LDL cholesterol levels. However, comprehensive observational studies assessing its effectiveness and safety in real-world settings are limited. This observational study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of rosuvastatin in reducing LDL cholesterol levels among individuals with dyslipidemia. Methods: A sample of 100 participants with dyslipidemia, aged 45-65 years, was enrolled in a 12-week observational study. Baseline characteristics, including age, gender distribution, and baseline LDL cholesterol levels, were recorded. Participants received rosuvastatin therapy as per standard clinical practice. The primary outcome measure was the change in LDL cholesterol levels from baseline to the end of the 12-week treatment period. Safety assessments included monitoring for adverse events, liver function tests, and creatine kinase levels. Compliance and adherence to medication were also evaluated. Results: Following 12 weeks of rosuvastatin therapy, a significant reduction in LDL cholesterol levels was observed across the sample (mean reduction: 30 mg/dL ± 5 mg/dL). Subgroup analysis based on baseline LDL cholesterol levels demonstrated consistent reductions, with greater reductions observed in participants with higher baseline LDL cholesterol levels. Rosuvastatin therapy was well-tolerated, with no serious adverse events reported. Common adverse effects were mild and transient, including muscle aches, gastrointestinal discomfort, and headache. Compliance with therapy was high, with 95% of participants completing the treatment period and adherence rates exceeding 90%. Secondary outcomes indicated improvements in total cholesterol (mean reduction: 35 mg/dL ± 6 mg/dL), triglycerides (mean reduction: 25 mg/dL ± 4 mg/dL), and HDL cholesterol (mean increase: 5 mg/dL ± 2 mg/dL). Conclusion: This observational study provides evidence supporting the effectiveness and safety of rosuvastatin in reducing LDL cholesterol levels among individuals with dyslipidemia. Rosuvastatin therapy was well-tolerated and associated with improvements in lipid profiles. Mg[Al.sub.2][O.sub.4] spinel was synthesized by a novel route method of sol-gel technique. Spinel powders were sintered at various temperatures to investigate the phase contents and crystallinity. The characterization of the samples was carried out by using various techniques. The formation of the spinel phase was inferred by differential thermal analyzer, while crystalline and structural properties were studied by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS-NMR). These studies infer the formation of spinel phase at much lower temperature (around 375[degrees]C) and order-disorder transition in the spinel around 700[degrees]C. The studies also indicate the formation of the spinel with better crystallinity. Thermodynamic functions using the coefficient of volume expansion (α) of a system, a number of thermoacoustic and anharmonic parameters such as the isochoric temperature coefficient of internal pressure (X), isochoric temperature coefficient of volume expansivity (X'), reduced compressibility (β∼), reduced volume (V∼), isothermal microscopic Gruneisen parameter (Γ), fractional free volume (f), and Sharma parameter (So) can be investigated. The temperature dependence of these parameters gives a basic understanding about the intermolecular interactions in general. These studies also can applied to a solute in dilute solutions. In the present study these different parameters have been determined using volumetric measurements in the case of a liquid crystal, namely, 4,4'-dibutoxy azoxy benzene (HPOAB), which is a typical liquid crystal with a nearly linear structure, in dilute solutions at different temperatures. The determination of excited state electric dipole moment through solvatochromic shifts of two Exalite dyes, namely, E-392A, E-398 have been carried out using fluorescence shifts and have been found to be less than those calculated through absorption shifts. It is felt that the one calculated using shifts in emission are more reliable. The results are presented and discussed. A new method is proposed to estimate the polarizability (αe) of a molecule in an excited state using solvatochromic shift measurements and McRae's equation. In the earlier methods the contribution due to polarizability was not considered. In view of this, the proposed method is also expected to give a better estimation of excited state electric dipole moment (μe) and the (θ) angle between excited and ground state electric dipole moments, μe and μg apart from giving values of polarizability of the molecules in the excited state. This method has been applied in the case of the La band of p-nitro aniline and the results for all the parameters are found to be satisfactory and of right order in comparison with that reported in literature. The photoluminescence (PL) studies of powder phosphors are under rigorous study in view of the applications they have in the field of technology. Different methods are available for the preparation of rare earth ions doped in different host environment of powder phosphors. In the present work, a novel route known as sol–gel technique is employed to prepare spinel phosphor MgAl1.8Y0.2-xO4:Eux (x=2–6 mol%). Then the studies have been carried out to optimize the dopant concentration in the host lattice with the help of photoluminescence spectra. These phosphors have displayed bright red color under UV source. The emission intensities were determined and the relative fluorescence intensities have been estimated. The richness of the red color has been verified by determining their chromaticity coordinates (&Xmacr;, &Ymacr;) from the CIE standard charts. With the help of XRD, electron spin resonance (ESR), and photo-acoustic (PA) spectra of the samples prepared are also used for the confirmity of the host and analyzing of the data.
