The ionic Ag(I) complexes [Ph3PCH2СH=CHCH2PPh3]2+[Ag(CN)2] (I) and [Ph3PR]+[Ag(CN)2]–, where R = Et (II), CHCMe2 (III), have been synthesized by the reaction between potassium dicyanoargentate and alkyltriphenylphosphonium chlorides in an aqueous solution. The IR spectra of complexes I–III have the absorption bands of CN groups at 2131–2137 cm–1. In X-ray diffraction studies, alkyltriphenylphosphonium cations were found to have a distorted tetrahedral configuration: the CPC angles are 105.6(3)°–112.8(3)° (I), 108.0(3)°–110.6(4)° (II), and 106.77(11)°–113.74(11)° (III), and the P–С bonds are 1.790(6)–1.810(6) (I), 1.774(8)–1.806(7) (II), and 1.745(3)–1.806(2) Å (III). In the [Ag(CN)2]– anions, the СAgC angles are 168.4(3)° (I), 175.5(3)° (II), and 180.000(2)° (III), and the Ag–C distances are 2.039(10)–2.093(10) Å. The formation of crystals for complexes I–III is generally caused by the weak hydrogen bonds N⋅⋅⋅Н–С (2.37–2.74 Å) between the hydrogen atoms of cations and the nitrogen atoms of anions. The [Ph3PR]+[Au(CN)2]− complexes, where R = CH2C(O)Ph (I), CHCHMe (II), and (CH2)4Br (III), have been synthesized by the reaction between potassium dicyanoaurate and organyltriphenylphosphonium chlorides in water and structurally studied. The phosphorus atoms in organyltriphenylphosphonium cations have a distorted tetrahedral coordination: CPC angles, 107.14(13)°–112.29(17)° (I), 107.38(15)°–110.84(16)° (II), 107.5(3)°–112.1(3)° (III), P-C bonds, 1.792(3)–1.828(3) (I), 1.768(4)–1.800(4) (II), 1.787(5)–1.799(5) Å (III). In nearly linear [Au(CN)2]− anions, the CAuC angles are 179.38(13)° (I), 177.41(18)° (II), and 178.2(3)° (III), and the Au–C distances are 1.967(6)–2.010(4) Å. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aims were to explore the effect of head-up tilt (HUT) to 30 and 60 degrees on hemodynamics and tissue oxygenation in anesthetized healthy swine. The data serve as a reference for a study of resuscitation efficacy at HUT such as during transport. Nine healthy swine (49±4 kg) were anesthetized and multiple sensors including myocardial pressure-volume loops catheter, carotid flow probe, blood pressure catheters, near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) tissue oximetry and mixed venous oximetry (SVO2) catheter were introduced and parameters continuously recorded. Experimental protocol consisted of baseline in supine position (15 min), 30 degrees HUT (15 min), recovery at supine position (15 min) and 60 degrees HUT (5 min). Vacuum mattress was used for body fixation during tilts. We found that 30 and 60 degrees inclination led to significant immediate reduction in hemodynamic and oximetry parameters. Mean arterial pressure (mm Hg) decreased from 98 at baseline to 53 and 39, respectively. Carotid blood flow dropped to 47 % and 22 % of baseline values, end diastolic volume to 49 % and 53 % and stroke volume to 47 % and 45 % of baseline. SVO2 and tissue oximetry decreased by 17 and 21 percentage points. The values are means. In conclusions, within minutes, both 30 and 60 degrees head-up tilting is poorly tolerated in anesthetized swine. Significant differences among individual animals exist. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
