A conversion‐chemistry‐based zinc–selenium aqueous battery is reported that delivers high specific capacity, good rate capability, and excellent cycle life. In this work, an electronically conjugated covalent triazine framework is used to physicochemically lock selenium (Se8) clusters. As a control sample, the traditional melt‐diffusion approach is used to physically lock Se8. While the melt‐diffused selenium cathode exhibited a precipitous drop in capacity with cycling, the physicochemically locked selenium cathode can be cycled in a stable manner and delivered a specific capacity of ≈600 mAh g−1 with a capacity retention of ≈70% after 1000 continuous charge/discharge steps. Ab initio density functional theory calculations and various structural and morphological characterizations indicate that the superiority of the physicochemically locked selenium cathode stems from its ability to suppress the polyselenide shuttle phenomenon and thus prevent loss of active material during cycling. Using a syringe pump setup, the authors conducted water flow experiments through porous reduced graphene oxide (rGO). A variety of anions and cations were added to the water to study its effect on energy harvesting. More specifically, the authors performed tests to study effect of: (1) ion concentration in water, (2) type of anion used, (3) type of cation used, and (4) effect of flow rate. The test data indicates that water flow through rGO networks can directly induce drift of charge carriers in graphene and thus generate electricity. Graphene is ideally suited for this application, since it possesses high mobility charge carriers that are ready to be coupled to moving ions present in the flowing fluid. The proposed rGO material could enable harvesting of the ubiquitous, abundant, and renewable mechanical energy of moving water directly to electrical energy. Unlike traditional schemes, the graphene material directly converts the flow energy into electrical energy without the need for moving parts. Such graphene coatings could potentially replace conventional batteries (which are environmentally hazardous) in low‐power, low‐voltage, and long service‐life applications. By using a compression technique and a pelletizer, a Tellurium (Te) doped Bismuth Antimony (BiSb) sample in the form of pellet has been formed. Stoichiometric proportions of the materials (Bi, Sb, and Te) were calculated for the manufacture of pellets Bi2Sb(3-x):Tex (X = 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3). A precision LCR meter was used to measure the dielectric characteristics of Bi2Sb(3-x):Tex (X = 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) pellets (BULK) in the frequency range of 20 Hz to 2 MHz at room temperature. Using Primary collected data, Dielectric loss, Dielectric constant, AC conductivity, and Real & Imaginary Electric modulus have been studied. The V–VI group of semiconductor materials have a narrow bandgap which is widely used for fabrication of optoelectronic devices. Bi2Sb2.9Te0.1 pellet (Bulk) was prepared using a compression method. Driven by the cost and scarcity of Lithium resources, it is imperative to explore alternative battery chemistries such as those based on Aluminum (Al). One of the key challenges associated with the development of Al-ion batteries is the limited choice of cathode materials. In this work, we explore an open-tunnel framework-based oxide (Mo3VOx) as a cathode in an Al-ion battery. The orthorhombic phase of molybdenum vanadium oxide (o-MVO) has been tested previously in Al-ion batteries but has shown poor coulombic efficiency and rapid capacity fade. Our results for o-MVO are consistent with the literature. However, when we explored the trigonal polymorph of MVO (t-MVO), we observe stable cycling performance with much improved coulombic efficiency. At a charge–discharge rate of ~0.4C, a specific capacity of ~190 mAh g−1 was obtained, and at a higher rate of 1C, a specific capacity of ~116 mAh g−1 was achieved. We show that differences in synthesis conditions of t-MVO and o-MVO result in significantly higher residual moisture in o-MVO, which can explain its poor reversibility and coulombic efficiency due to undesirable water interactions with the ionic liquid electrolyte. Of all deaths by suicide on psychiatric wards, 75% are due to hanging or strangulation by ligature. The act of tying a ligature is complex self harm risk behaviour and can be fatal. There is no consistent framework available to ensure that essential risk information is accurately captured following a patient tying a ligature. This leads to a variable quality of incident reports being generated in inpatient psychiatric wards, which can be challenging for the MDT to interpret second hand and understand the ligature risk in that case. Effective psychiatric care is underpinned by accurate and detailed documentation; thus comprehensive recording of ligature incidents is essential for recognising trends and risk factors, and in building a 'ligature tying profile'. A 'Ligature Assessment Tool' was developed to ensure that certain aspects of a ligature risk incident were recorded in a systematic way on the incident reporting system. The tool consists of 15 criteria and is in a semi-structured format. This was rolled out in a regional female medium secure unit. There was clear improvement in the quality of reports, with an increase in the detail included. For two patients, a 'ligature tying profile' was identified. Staff felt that the tool improved their documentation and was highly usable. Further work is ongoing; there is interest in use of the tool in general adult services and also in the national high secure service for women. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

COVID-19 has transformed healthcare service provision. In addition to the spread of a virus, there has been an equally concerning emergence and spread of conspiracy theories. Such theories can threaten societal cohesion and adherence to the necessary public health guidance. In a forensic in-patient setting, such difficulties can be amplified. In this paper, we outline the key theory in relation to the development and spread of conspiracy theory memes. We propose primary, secondary and tertiary level responses to tackle the possible generation and spread of harmful conspiracies in the forensic in-patient setting. We consider this to be important, as there is a risk that such beliefs could affect patients' mental health and, in extremis, undermine physical health efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Lead‐free hybrid and inorganic perovskites (A2CuBr4; A=CH3NH3 or Cs, 2 D or3 D) are synthesized by a room‐temperature solid‐state reaction route and examined as anode materials in Li‐ion batteries. A remarkably high reversible capacity of 630 mAh g−1 is realized in the 2 D hybrid perovskite at 100 mA g−1 at the end of 140 cycles. A full cell with this anode is also tested and shows impressive cycling stability. A good reversible capacity of 420 mAh g−1 with excellent stability tested up to 1400 cycles is also obtained for the 3 D perovskites. Background: Cardiovascular disease is a major cause of mortality in patients with schizophrenia, and weight gain due to second generation antipsychotics contributes significantly to this. Lurasidone is a new antipsychotic with minimal metabolic side effects and represents a new treatment option where weight is a concern. Design: Description of four cases of patients switched to Lurasidone from other antipsychotics and their experience in terms of psychotic symptoms and weight changes. Results: Our findings suggest that Lurasidone offers the potential to reduce weight gain and even allow for potential weight loss in patients switched from another antipsychotic medication. Conclusions: Lurasidone may offer the potential for weight loss when patients are switched from other antipsychotic medication.
