The increasing concern for sustainable materials and waste management has led to innovative approaches in material science. This study explores the potential benefit of aggregate waste in the production of aluminum composites practicing powder metallurgy techniques. The aim is to investigate the feasibility of incorporating bone material into aluminium matrices to enhance the composite’s mechanical properties. The research involves several key steps. Firstly, waste bone material is collected and processed to obtain a fine powder suitable for powder metallurgy. Various techniques such as grinding, milling, or pulverization are employed to achieve the desired particle size distribution. Next, the bone powder is mixed with aluminium powder in predetermined ratios to create composite blends. The composite blends are then subjected to compaction using powder metallurgy techniques, including cold pressing and sintering. The compaction process aims to consolidate the powders and facilitate the formation of a solid composite structure. The aluminum composites mechanical characteristics are then assessed. The effects of incorporating bone material are assessed using tests on tensile strength, ductility, hardness, and other relevant mechanical properties. Comparative analysis is performed between the composites with bone material and traditional aluminium composites to assess any improvements or changes in performance.

The total amount of solid trash produced in India is 160038.9 TPD, according to the Annual Report on Solid Waste Management (2020–21), CPCB, Delhi. Out of which, Tamil Nadu created 13422 TPD of solid waste, of which 9430.35 TPD was processed, and 2301.04 TPD was landfilled. The researchers have been forced to look at alternative processes and materials for the manufacturing of construction materials utilizing processed municipal solid waste ash (PMSWA) due to the increased demand for environmentally friendly and sustainable products. This research work focused on the replacement of fine aggregate by (0%, 10%, 30% and 50%) Processed Municipal Solid Waste Ash (PMSWA) in the Solid Blocks. This research enhances the sustainable material development in the construction industry. SEM study showed that specimens with CTR do not have any cracking on their fracture surfaces, unlike samples without CTR. This study examines the material’s physical characteristics, including its mechanical attributes like compressive strength and flexural strength as well as its chemical composition using XRF. It demonstrates that the substitution or addition of PMSWA to construction materials is appropriate, cost-effective, and safe.

Waste generated due to various industrial activities are dumped as landfill posing serious environmental complications. Pollution control due to industrial waste has become one of concern across the globe. This study discusses foundry sand and coconut shell, two byproducts of the manufacturing and agriculture sectors. The most efficient use of these components is to include them into the concrete itself, either as a partial substitute for fine aggregate or coarse aggregate, or both. Durability tests were conducted on concrete samples with the replacement percentages determined to be optimal on the basis of mechanical characteristics. According to the findings, foundry sand may be utilised as a fine aggregate replacement in concrete, while coconut shell can be used as a coarse aggregate replacement without impacting its strength or durability.

Mild steel is a popular material used in various applications due to its excellent machinability, strength and durability. Mild steel is one of the most affordable materials available, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious projects. Regrettably, Mild steel is not typically used in some industries due to its low strength-to-weight ratio and limited corrosion resistance. AISI 1020 steel is relatively soft and has limited wear resistance compared to other types of steel, particularly those with higher carbon content. This review paper discusses the profitable and successful approach to enhance the service life and utility of the mild steel machinery components. Various investigators have put their effort into developing different methods to improve the properties of the mild steel components. The laser cladding process is developed by the melting of the preplaced coating layer with the surface of the substrate simultaneously which is able to prevent direct contact with the environment. The present review paper discussed in detail the impact of various parameters of laser cladding process and variation of the coating materials on the surface properties and microstructure of mild steel. Some challenges and remedies are also discussed in the paper. This review paper focused on some potential uses of the laser cladding process in diverse industries.

Polycyclic heterocycles are the most common and critical structural motifs found in a variety of natural products, medicines, fertilizers, and advanced materials. Because of their widespread use in biologically active compounds and material chemistry, functionalised dibenzo heterocyclic compounds, especially dibenzofuran, dibenzothiophene, and carbazole derivatives, garnered much attention over time. Scientists are especially interested in elucidating more efficient techniques for developing these industrially essential compounds. Dibenzo‐fused heterocycles can rapidly be synthesised using highly efficient transition metal‐catalysed strategies as well as by economic metal‐free reaction conditions. This review includes a detailed overview of the most recent significant synthetic techniques, both metal‐catalysed and metal‐free, to produce these industrially significant and medicinally important dibenzo‐fused heterocycles. The present study is aimed at upgrading the passenger car's front inner bumper. The dynamic explicit time-stepping method IMPACT was used to conduct the impact analysis. The programme was first evaluated against experimental findings for beams subjected to impacts at low loads. The deviation between the simulated and experimental findings of the deflected beam ranged from 1.6% to 9.5%. The genuine bumper was subjected to two different kinds of impact simulations. The data were used as a standard against which to compare future bumper improvements. Internal energy absorption is much higher in all the conditions. Coenzyme B12 (AdoCbl; 5′‐deoxy‐5′‐adenosylcobalamin), the quintessential biological organometallic radical catalyst, has a formerly unanticipated, yet extensive, role in photoregulation in bacteria. The light‐responsive cobalt‐corrin AdoCbl performs this nonenzymatic role by facilitating the assembly of CarH photoreceptors into DNA‐binding tetramers in the dark, suppressing gene expression. Conversely, exposure to light triggers the decomposition of this AdoCbl‐bound complex by a still elusive photochemical mechanism, activating gene expression. Here, we have examined AdoRhbl, the non‐natural rhodium analogue of AdoCbl, as a photostable isostructural surrogate for AdoCbl. We show that AdoRhbl closely emulates AdoCbl in its uptake by bacterial cells and structural functionality as a regulatory ligand for CarH tetramerization, DNA binding, and repressor activity. Remarkably, we find AdoRhbl is photostable even when bound "base‐off/His‐on" to CarH in vitro and in vivo. Thus, AdoRhbl, an antivitamin B12, also represents an unprecedented anti‐photoregulatory ligand, opening a pathway to precisely target biomimetic inhibition of AdoCbl‐based photoregulation, with new possibilities for selective antibacterial applications. Computational biomolecular analysis of AdoRhbl binding to CarH yields detailed structural insights into this complex, which suggest that the adenosyl group of photoexcited AdoCbl bound to CarH may specifically undergo a concerted non‐radical syn‐1,2‐elimination mechanism, an aspect not previously considered for this photoreceptor. Novel fuels for internal combustion engines are being tested due to increased energy demand and the presence of pollutants. Alternative energies can be produced from biowaste, plants and their seeds, which have become a crucial source. IC engines powered by petroleum have a significant impact on the environment, resulting in various environmental issues. Hence, incorporating an alternative fuel into an engine may require modifications to achieve comparable performance to traditional fuels. The performance of mahua biodiesel and diesel blends, including alumina nano additive, was examined in a single-cylinder compression ignition engine. The performance of mahua biodiesel and its diesel blends, with the addition of alumina nanoparticles, was evaluated in a single-cylinder compression ignition engine. The engine was tested using different fuels. The performance and emissions of mahua biodiesel blend with concentrations of 20%, 40% and 100% were assessed under different load conditions. The performance of a biodiesel blend consisting of 20% mahua biodiesel and 80% diesel (B20) was favourable compared to other biodiesel blends, showing minimal tailpipe emissions. A blend of biodiesel, comprising 80% diesel and 20% mahua biodiesel, was prepared with the addition of nano alumina at concentrations of 25 and 50 ppm. The biodiesel blend, containing 50 ppm of alumina nanoparticles, exhibits improved thermal efficiency and reduced emissions due to better fuel atomization caused by the presence of nanoparticles. The Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE) and Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) of biodiesel blended with 50 ppm alumina nanoparticles increased by 2.85% and decreased by 14% respectively, compared to regular diesel fuel. The use of mahua biodiesel blended with regular biodiesel led to a significant reduction in HC and CO emissions by 20% and 14% respectively. Batteries are a widely utilized and simple method for powering electronic devices, particularly given the prevalence of individuals traveling to all gadgets. The escalating adoption of electric vehicles and portable electronic devices has led to a surge in the demand for lithium-ion batteries. Consequently, this has given rise to supply uncertainties in acquiring essential minerals such as lithium and cobalt, along with concerns about the proper disposal of dead batteries. The existing methods for battery recycling exhibit variations based on the individual chemistries of the batteries, hence influencing both cost factors and greenhouse gas emissions. Simultaneously, there exists a possibility for repurposing depleted batteries for low-tier energy storage applications. The absence of legislation pertaining to the secure storage and handling of waste streams contributes to the accumulation of refuse in exposed environments and the release of hazardous substances from landfills. In addition, contemporary battery manufacturing methods necessitate the utilization of innovative substances, such as ionic liquids for electrolytes and nanostructures for cathodes, to enhance the energy characteristics and longevity of batteries. The presence of uncertainties regarding the accurate assessment of the environmental consequences associated with novel battery chemicals has the potential to impede efforts aimed at recycling and containment. The objective of this analysis is to consolidate the existing knowledge regarding battery pollutants, both those that are recognized and those that remain uncertain, and to assess their potential environmental impacts. Algae, prominent primary producers in both marine and terrestrial biotopes, play integral roles in numerous biological and ecological processes. Despite their significant potential in industry and agriculture, particularly in producing valuable products in high demand, their comprehensive utilization remains underexplored. In this review, we aim to consolidate significant advancements in algal research, emphasizing their potential for industrial applications. We present a dual-focused exploration: firstly delving into molecular techniques that improve algae's capabilities for biomolecule production with pharmaceutical properties, CO2 sequestration, nanoparticle synthesis, and bioremediation; and secondly, investigating the burgeoning role of bioengineering strategies in magnifying the industrial applications of algae. Our findings reveal that the integration of omics studies, combined with interdisciplinary approaches, has notably augmented the adoption of algae biotechnology in the science and technology sectors. Given their critical role in aquaculture, human nutrition, pharmaceuticals, and the growing demand for primary metabolites, algae undeniably stand poised as a linchpin for future industrial innovations. The roots of Rauwolfia serpentine have some valuable properties like anti-hypertensive effect on consumption with its reserpine component as this root is the major source for reserpine alkaloid in evaluation with various herbs. In addition, the component ajmalicine is responsible in treating cardiovascular disease. The flowering plant Rauwolfia serpentine belongs to the family of Apocynaceae, found in Indian subcontinents or South Asia especially in India and mostly in places near to Himalayas. The studies reveal that it is commonly used in Unani Medicine as this system raised since 1037 AD one of the oldest medicinal practice, further the root of Rauwolfia serpentine used as a medicine to treat cardio vascular diseases was recorded 1000 years before in the manuscripts. The specialty of Rauwolfia serpentine is the alkaloids which are present in this plant are reserpine and ajmalicine which helps in assisting in curing the cardiovascular disease; it is also comprised with ajmaline that helps in treating atrial fibrillation and acute intravenous treatments. The in vitro analysis of Rauvolfia serpentine has evidences since the alkaloid found through phytochemical analysis are assisting in curing the cardiovascular disease and anxiety.
