This study aimed to assess the research growth, collaboration trends, and performance of the author, organization, and countries and to identify the trending research topics on gender equality and women empowerment research in BRICS countries. This study employed Scientometric tools to evaluate the research publications for ten years (2012- 2021). A total of 1,558 bibliographic records were downloaded from the Scopus and analyzed using Microsoft Excel and Tableau statistical tools. Moreover, the network visualization and scientific mapping analysis was done using the open-source data visualization tools VOSviewer, and Biblioshiny. It was found that BRICS countries were actively involved in research on gender equality and women's empowerment in the last decade as the publication was growing by 20.45% Annual Growth Rate (AGR) and research outputs shared 16.18% of global publications. India contributed the most publications (n=683) and received the highest citations (TC=2,798), while South Africa was the most significant collaborator with different countries across the globe. The study also identified the most prolific authors, organizations, and journals based on the number of scientific publications and citations. It is indispensable to highlight that most prolific authors and organizations were affiliated with South Africa. In recent years research has been trending in topics related to women's education, women empowerment, entrepreneurship, gender equality, and sustainability. Furthermore, the study identified the most influential articles based on the citation burst. The findings of this study will benefit contemporary society, the scholarly community and other key stakeholders in the field by providing an understanding of the development and trends of research in the domain. The internationalization of higher education over the last two decades has transformed the education sector into a globalized, interconnected knowledge-based society. Higher education institutions and national governments have been compelled to pay more attention to academic relations and knowledge exchange opportunities with partners in other countries, particularly in the same region. The current study aims to investigate the role of higher education internationalization in Southeast Asian nations (ASEAN) for the development of a more harmonized region. Previous research has revealed that less developed countries in the ASEAN region are far behind in the race to globalization and transformation of the education industry. Therefore, it is crucial to explore the policies and strategies enacted by the ASEAN administration and determine what it lacks to achieve this goal. An exploratory comparative approach has been used to identify and investigate recent internationalization trends in ASEAN member countries. The internationalization of higher education is a compelling and logical approach to increasing harmonization at the intra-regional and interregional levels.

This study investigates how student experiences in international exchange programs in ASEAN countries (i.e., Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam) and Korea facilitate the development of global citizenship. We build and expand upon prior study abroad research conducted mostly in North American or European countries to understand if findings and best practices based on the Western context are also applicable to the Southeast Asian region and Korea. We focus attention on how student characteristics are mediated by program experiences abroad that contribute to global citizenship outcomes. Results based on structural equation modeling show that students who report a strong interest to expand intercultural understanding are more likely to be satisfied with host university academic experiences related to the globally oriented curriculum and interact frequently with diverse students; these together positively affect the development of global citizenship. In other words, study abroad as a high-impact practice that is effective in cultivating global citizenship is applicable to international programming in higher education institutions across different regional contexts. Libraries are institutions that collect printed and recorded knowledge, manage it in a special way to meet the intellectual needs of its users through various ways of knowledge interaction. In order to maintain the existence of the organization, knowledge management can be done with knowledge management. Knowledge management is the process by which libraries collect knowledge assets and use them to gain a competitive advantage. The challenge that is often faced in the management of knowledge preservation is to provide education to institutions about the meaning and purpose of knowledge preservation. The method used in the preparation of this paper is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Based on the results of the systematic literature review method (SLR), the research selection was divided into 3 stages of selection. After screening, it was determined that there were 5 (five) articles that were used as references. The knowledge that has been obtained requires special treatment. This special treatment is so that the knowledge that has been possessed is not lost in the future and can be used by the next generation in the form of written in documents or taught orally from generation to generation. - Abstract
In favour of the Big Five Invertebrates form the basis for ecosystem functioning but are typically neglected in ecotourism activities. Entotourism is introduced to elevate awareness about the potential of invertebrates and their conservation activity through tourism. Improved awareness via tourism activity can potentially lead to improved conservation practices. Yet, do tourists accept entotourism as another product of ecotourism? This study aims to determine the perception of tourists on entotourism activity in Sabah. We are implementing a mixed-method to acquire information needed via questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews. At the same time, we applied a random sampling technique to gain the respective respondents. Data analysis used a t-test to examine gender perception and presented via Spider-Web configuration. In comparison, we used content analysis via Leximancer for qualitative analysis. This study demonstrated that people have a slightly different perception of insects and awareness based on their gender. Results show that most participants responded positively to insect information, awareness and their interest in certain insects. Respondents also gave their support to entotourism, which provided them with some new knowledge about insects. The interview has also indicated a positive perception of invertebrate information as part of the entotourism concept included in ecotourism activity. In conclusion, tourists' perception of entotourism activity unveils a significant potential for the inclusion of invertebrate into current and future ecotourism activity, especially in Sabah. Alternately, it can be applied as a preparatory step for better planning and execution of invertebrate's conservation and entotourism activity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CULTURAL pluralism , *STUDENT mobility , *CEREBRAL circulation , *FOREIGN study , *FOREIGN students - Abstract
The trends in higher education have changed tremendously over the past decade. Knowledge is now an asset that moves between countries. The profound effort generates the globalization of universities, students and niche research. Hence international mobility program are gaining popularity as it gives significant outcomes for its students who had experienced mobility exchange. It is apparent that mobility had prepared the students to contribute to the global workforce, establish global networks and join the brain global circulation. Mobility exchange is seen to be the driving force for the students who are not able to study abroad to obtain an international degree. It is also seen to be giving opportunities to students to become "international" or global by studying abroad for a semester, which is more affordable for most students. Realizing the importance of mobility exchange, ASEAN have now taken the initiatives to encourage mobility among students. The students are going to exchange program either to ASEAN countries or elsewhere across the globe with the mission to become a global citizen with a global mindset. In promoting internationalization across ASEAN, SEAMEO-RIHED via its Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program has laid out its pathway for students to go for mobility exchange. The paper will discuss the journey of AIMS and how its platform has promoted the multicultural diversity and inclusivity across ASEAN and support the One ASEAN Community establishment. STUDENT mobility , *FOREIGN study , *FOREIGN students , *EMPLOYABILITY , *INTERNATIONAL travel , *SENSORY perception - Abstract
The multitude of existing research conducted within the field of study abroad generally reinforces the popular understanding that the practice not only broadens the mind, provides valuable experiences and enhances stagnating perspectives, but also contributes to a skillset that is becoming increasingly necessary for success in the globally focused world of today. Despite the evidence supporting their effectiveness, relatively few undergraduate students of Malaysia choose to participate in some form of study abroad programmes especially to the ASEAN countries. The following analysis will examine the potential reasoning of why this is so. In this context the focus is on the mobility programme on the short-term exchange and study abroad issues. Through the survey, this research examined the attitudes and inhibitions of undergraduate university students as they relate to studying abroad and to what extent these perceptions fall in line with the escalating importance of employability. Used as an exemplifying case of Asian Mobility for Students Programmes (AIMS), ten participating public universities under the AIMS-Malaysia furnished the sample of participants used in this study. Factors such as a student's previous international travel experience and awareness of available programmes are seen to influence these perceptions to some degree. The students highlighted the benefits of studying abroad as to have better understanding of cultural differences and new friends share the same highest mean. The students also developed their soft skills by being more independent, confident and improve their problem-solving skills. In addition, they also have better communication, self-assessment and personal skills. The finding also showed that the most important criteria that the alumni being hired for their first job after graduation are communication skills, high adaptability, analytical thinking and problem solving. These findings corroborate international student mobility programmes whilst providing additional insight through student testimony. Indeed, AIMS programme leverages the competency and employability of students, hence contributes to producing global citizens and ASEAN harmonization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The advent of global and international dimensions in higher education has lifted the trends of students' and researcher's mobility around the globe. Identification and assessment of international students' drivers influencing their decisionmaking process of study destination are imperative to appeal to a larger number of international students. The present study aimed to examine the international students' motives in the selection of Malaysia as a study destination and the factors influencing their will to recommend Malaysia to their friends and relatives. A qualitative approach was employed and a total of 18 respondents were interviewed. Quality of education and cultural adoption were found as thekey concerned fascination for international students in choosing Malaysia as a study destination. Besides, the low cost of living and tuition fees, cultural adoption, environmental beauty, credibility, and international ranking of institutions also appeal to students in the selection of Malaysia. The findings revealed that most of the respondents are willing to recommend Malaysia to their friends and relatives, and the factors prompting their intention are educational cost and quality, available research facilities at institutions, the credibility of Malaysian universities, and low tuition fee for higher education. The results would offer the current trends to thegovernment and higher education institutions in offering an exclusive experienceto the existing and potential students and in achieving Malaysia's Vision-2025 of attracting 250,000 international students. The limitations and directions for future research have been provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The strong emphasis on feeding in Asian cultures may influence decisions for nasogastric (NG) tube feeding in geriatric inpatients. We evaluated the utility, complications, and opinions of caregivers toward NG tube feeding in an acute geriatric ward in a teaching hospital in Kuala Lumpur. Consecutive patients aged 65 years and older receiving NG tube feeding were included. Sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory indices were recorded. Opinion on NG tube feeding were evaluated through face-to-face interviews with caregivers, recruited through convenience sampling. Of 432 patients admitted, 96 (22%), age ± standard deviation = 80.8 ± 7.4 years, received NG tube feeding. The complication and mortality rates were 69% and 38%, respectively. Diabetes (odds ratio [95% confidence interval] = 3.34 [1.07, 10.44], aspiration pneumonia (8.15 [2.43, 27.24]), impaired consciousness (3.13 [1.05, 9.36]), and albumin ≤26 g/dl (4.43 [1.46, 13.44]) were independent predictors of mortality. Other relatives were more likely than spouses (23.5 [3.59, 154.2]) and caregivers with tertiary education more likely than those with no formal education (18 [1.23, 262.7]) to agree to NG feeding. Sixty-four percent of caregivers felt NG tube feeding was appropriate at the end of life, mostly due to the fear of starvation. NG tube feeding is widely used in our setting, despite high complication and mortality rates, with likely influences from cultural emphasis on feeding. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

- Abstract
The present work highlighted the production of violacein by the locally isolated Chromobacterium violaceum (GenBank accession no. HM132057) in various agricultural waste materials (sugarcane bagasse, solid pineapple waste, molasses, brown sugar), as an alternative to the conventional rich medium. The highest yield for pigment production (0.82 g L) was obtained using free cells when grown in 3 g of sugarcane bagasse supplemented with 10% ( v/ v) of l-tryptophan. A much lower yield (0.15 g L) was obtained when the cells were grown either in rich medium (nutrient broth) or immobilized onto sugarcane bagasse. Violacein showed similar chemical properties as other natural pigments based on the UV-Vis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thin-layer chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectrometry analysis. The pigment is highly soluble in acetone and methanol, insoluble in water or non-polar organic solvents, and showed good stability between pH 5-9, 25-100 °C, in the presence of light metal ions and oxidant such as HO. However, violacein would be slowly degraded upon exposure to light. This is the first report on the use of cheap and easily available agricultural wastes as growth medium for violacein-producing C. violaceum. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study attempts to identify the use patterns and factors influencing the use of urban green space in Taman Merdeka, Johor Bahru. The aim of this investigation is to provide more crucial information to the field of urban green space study, especially in Malaysia. For this purpose, a total of 356 questionnaires were distributed to park users of Taman Merdeka. The questionnaire consists of several multiple-choice questions, open-ended questions, and questions that respondents answered based on the Likert scale. Data collection was done through convenience sampling. Results showed that most users of the park are Malays, consisting of an even percentage of male (49.4%) and female (50.6%) users, and are largely young adults in the age range of 26-32 years. This study also revealed that those living within 2 km radius from the park visit this recreation area more frequently compared to those living more than 10 km away from the place. Most users agreed that they visit Taman Merdeka for restorative health purposes and escaping from the stressful activities of the busy city lifestyle. The findings of this study are useful for future planning and management of urban green space in Malaysian cities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
