As categorical attributes cannot be utilized directly in some regression models like the linear regression,SVR and most multivariate regression trees,a multivariate split method dealing with multiple types of data is prompted in this paper.We define the centers of the sample sets on the categorical attributes and the distances from the samples to the centers in order that thecate-gorical attributes can also participate in the clustering process like the numerical attributes.Then a reasonable ensemble scheme is selected for the decision trees generated by the method to get the ensemble called cluster regression forest(CRF).Finally,we use CRF and other 9 regression models to compare regression mean absolute error (MAE) and root mean square error (RMSE) on 12 UCI public data sets.The experimental results show that CRF has the best performance among the 10 regression models.

Continuous cooling transformation curves were established and the influence of finish rolling temperature on the microstructure was investigated for a titanium-microalloyed dual phase steel through simulation experiment. A feasible process based on simulation experiment was obtained and confirmatory experiment was performed. It was found that pro-eutectoid ferrite could form in the steel when the cooling rate was less than 5℃·s-1 at a temperature of 625 to 725℃. The amount of ferrite and martensite increased firstly and then decreased slightly with the increasing of finishing rolling temperature. A higher hardness of ferrite was obtained at a higher finish rolling temperature because of precipitation strengthening. Better performance with a tensile strength of 672 MPa and a yield ratio of 0.61 was obtained for the steel when the finish rolling and slow cooling temperatures were 840℃ and 700℃,respectively. The amount of this precipitation strengthening was about 78.5 MPa based on calculations.

Background: N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification of messenger RNA (mRNA) is crucial for liquid-liquid phase separation in mammals. Increasing evidence indicates that liquid-liquid phase separation in proteins and RNAs affects diabetic cardiomyopathy. However, the molecular mechanism by which m6A-mediated phase separation regulates diabetic cardiac fibrosis remains elusive. Methods: Leptin receptor-deficient mice (db/db), cardiac fibroblast-specific Notch1 conditional knockout (POSTN-Cre × Notch1flox/flox) mice, and Cre mice were used to induce diabetic cardiac fibrosis. Adeno-associated virus 9 carrying cardiac fibroblast-specific periostin (Postn) promoter-driven small hairpin RNA targeting Alkbh5, Ythdf2, or Notch1, and the phase separation inhibitor 1,6-hexanediol were administered to investigate their roles in diabetic cardiac fibrosis. Histological and biochemical analyses were performed to determine how Alkbh5 and Ythdf2 regulate Notch1 expression in diabetic cardiac fibrosis. NOTCH1 was reconstituted in ALKBH5- and YTHDF2-deficient cardiac fibroblasts and mouse hearts to study its effects on mitochondrial fission and diabetic cardiac fibrosis. Heart tissue samples from patients with diabetic cardiomyopathy were used to validate our findings. Results: In mice with diabetic cardiac fibrosis, decreased Notch1 expression was accompanied by high m6A mRNA levels and mitochondrial fission. Fibroblast-specific deletion of Notch1 enhanced mitochondrial fission and cardiac fibroblast proliferation and induced diabetic cardiac fibrosis in mice. Notch1 downregulation was associated with Alkbh5-mediated m6A demethylation in the 3'UTR of Notch1 mRNA and elevated m6A mRNA levels. These elevated m6A levels in Notch1 mRNA markedly enhanced YTHDF2 phase separation, increased the recognition of m6A residues in Notch1 mRNA by YTHDF2, and induced Notch1 degradation. Conversely, epitranscriptomic downregulation rescues Notch1 expression, resulting in the opposite effects. Human heart tissues from patients with diabetic cardiomyopathy were used to validate the findings in mice with diabetic cardiac fibrosis. Conclusions: We identified a novel epitranscriptomic mechanism by which m6A-mediated phase separation suppresses Notch1 expression, thereby promoting mitochondrial fission in diabetic cardiac fibrosis. In recent years, with the global warming getting worse and increasing demand for energy, countries around the world are trying to develop new energy storage technologies to solve this problem. Currently, potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs) have attracted tremendous attention from researchers as low‐cost and high‐performance energy storage devices. However, due to the huge ionic radius of K+, PIBs face significant volume expansion during cycling, which can easily lead to the collapse of electrode structures. In addition, the poor diffusion kinetics of K+ seriously affect the electrochemical performance of the battery. Carbon nanofibers (CNFs)‐based materials (including CNFs, metal/CNFs composites, chalcogenide/CNFs composites, and other CNFs‐based materials) are widely used as PIBs electrode anode materials due to their three‐dimensional conductive network, heteroatom doping and excellent mechanical properties. This review discusses in detail the research progress of CNFs‐based materials in PIBs, including material preparation, structural design, and performance optimization. On this basis, this article explores the key issues faced by CNFs‐based materials and future development directions, and proposes improvement suggestions for providing new ideas for the development of CNFs‐based materials.
