16. Effect of finish rolling temperature on microstructure and properties of low carbon steel based on DSCCR production process

Abstract

Based on Donghua steel continuous casting rolling(DSCCR) production line, hot rolling tests rolled at 880, 820 ℃ and 780 ℃ were carried out to study the effect of finish rolling temperature on microstructure and properties of low carbon steel. OM, SEM, EBSD and other characterization methods were used to observe and analyze the microstructure of hot rolled strip at different finish rolling temperatures. Meanwhile, the tensile properties of hot rolled strip were tested and analyzed, and the changes of yield strength, tensile strength and elongation of hot rolled strip at different finish rolling temperatures were compared and analyzed. In addition, the thickness of iron oxide scale of hot rolled strip at different finish rolling temperatures was also measured. The results show that with the decrease of finish rolling temperature, the tensile strength ratio and elongation ratio of the strips decrease from 0.8-0.81 at 880 ℃ to 0.75-0.79 at 780 ℃, the elongation of the strips decrease from 40% at 880 ℃ to 27% at 780 ℃, and n value (strain-hardening exponent)decreases from 0.22 at 880 ℃ to 0.17 at 780 ℃. At the same time, the iron oxide scale of hot rolled strip steel was observed and analyzed. With the decrease of finish rolling temperature, the thickness of the iron oxide scale decreases from 10.2 μm at 880 ℃ to 8.8 μm at 780 ℃, and the decrease of the iron oxide scale sheet can improve the subsequent pickling efficiency and reduce the consumption of pickling.

33. Copper ion concentration detection based on quantum weak measurement of circular dichroism.

Abstract

In this paper, a high precision detection method of copper ion (C u 2 + ) concentration based on weak measurement is proposed. The ternary complex formed by C u 2 + with L-tryptophan and phenanthroline reagents has circular dichroism (CD) signal at 605 nm in visible light. The CD signal can be obtained using the intensity contrast as a pointer in the imaginary weak-value amplification scheme. The measured sensitivity and resolution are 0.3417 mrad l/mg and 0.058 mg/l, respectively, which is improved by an order of magnitude compared to the traditional CD measurement method. It is also more accurate and less costly than commonly used C u 2 + detection methods. The C u 2 + concentration detection based on the weak measurement of CD signal detection proposed in this paper not only brings technological breakthroughs in the field of heavy metal ion detection, but also is of great significance in promoting the cross-development of chemistry, biomedicine, and life sciences. Abstract

To address the shortage of the aggregate used in a hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement in Guangxi, properties such as the aggregate crushing, polished stone, and Los Angeles abrasion values of a type of hard sandstone aggregate used in HMA were tested after various conditioning treatments. The hard sandstone aggregate met the technical requirements for aggregate in HMA. In addition, the influence of the Marshall compaction on the hard sandstone aggregate-combined grading was tested. The combined grading curve changed a little, and the aggregate satisfied the corresponding technical requirements. Therefore, according to the abovementioned results, the hard sandstone aggregate can be used as a coarse aggregate in HMA.

Abstract

Aberrant deposition of collagen is associated with cancer development and tissue fibrosis. Proline hydroxylation, catalyzed by collagen prolyl 4-hydroxylases (C-P4Hs), is necessary for collagen maturation and secretion. Here, we try to evaluate the mechanism of the regulation of CHX on collagen maturation. Using pepsin digestion, liquid chromatograph mass spectrometry and gene knockout, we find that treatment of mouse embryonic fibroblasts with cycloheximide (CHX) increases type I collagen proline hydroxylation partially via P4HA1 and mainly via P4HA2. Western blot analysis results show that CHX treatment reduces type I collagen but does not obviously impact the level of P4HA1/2 protein in the endoplasmic reticulum, which enhances the molar ratio of P4HA1/2 to type I collagen, and coimmunoprecipitation results confirm that more P4HA1/2 can bind to each type I collagen. Since C-P4Hs possess the capability to hydroxylate proline independent of ascorbate for a few cycles, this enhanced binding between P4HA1/2 and type I collagen can partially explain how CHX stimulates type I collagen maturation.
