The direct copolymerization of ethylene with polar monomers to produce functional polyolefins continues to be highly appealing due to its simple operation process and controllable product microstructure. Low-cost nickel catalysts have been extensively utilized in academia for the synthesis of polar polyethylenes. However, the development of high-temperature copolymerization catalysts suitable for industrial production conditions remains a significant challenge. Classified by the resultant copolymers, this review provides a comprehensive summary of the research progress in nickel complex catalyzed ethylene-polar monomer copolymerization at elevated temperatures in the past five years. The polymerization results of ethylene–methyl acrylate copolymers, ethylene-tert–butyl acrylate copolymers, ethylene–other fundamental polar monomer copolymers, and ethylene–special polar monomer copolymers are thoroughly summarized. The involved nickel catalysts include the phosphine-phenolate type, bisphosphine-monoxide type, phosphine-carbonyl type, phosphine-benzenamine type, and the phosphine-enolate type. The effective modulation of catalytic activity, molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, melting point, and polar monomer incorporation ratio by these catalysts is concluded and discussed. It reveals that the optimization of the catalyst system is mainly achieved through the methods of catalyst structure rational design, extra additive introduction, and single-site catalyst heterogenization. As a result, some outstanding catalysts are capable of producing polar polyethylenes that closely resemble commercial products. To achieve industrialization, it is essential to further emphasize the fundamental science of high-temperature copolymerization systems and the application performance of resultant polar polyethylenes. Lysosome, the digestive organelle in eukaryotic cells, plays an important role in the degradation and recirculation of cellular products as well as in maintaining the stability of cellular metabolic microenvironment. Surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a molecular fingerprint technology with high detection sensitivity and photostability, suited for revealing various intracellular molecular information by inducing endocytosis of SERS‐active nanoparticles. However, it remains challenging to selectively extract the molecular information of specific organelles (e.g., lysosomes) from a high‐dimensional spectral set. Herein, we proposed a novel paradigm by combining label‐free SERS spectroscopy with confocal fluorescence imaging to investigate the digestion behavior of lysosomes in cells. The structural similarity algorithm was innovatively introduced and exhibited its effectiveness in screening out the wavenumbers in the SERS spectral set with high correlation with the metabolic behaviors of lysosomes. With comprehensive experiments on HeLa single cells, we captured the intracellular macromolecular digestion phenomenon and discovered the changing pattern of cellular SERS spectra after starvation‐induced autophagy, and analyzed the molecular information within the lysosomes in three‐dimensional space. Most research conducted so far has primarily focused on pile-supported gravel embankments. The ability of solidified soil used as an embankment filling material has been verified, and a clear view on the performance of solidified soil embankments on piled foundations is rather limited. The three-dimensional unit cell models of pile-supported embankments are conducted to investigate the performance of solidified soil embankments in comparison to gravel embankments under static and dynamic loads. Then, a systematic parametric analysis is performed to investigate the effects of various factors, including the cohesion and friction of solidified soil, the velocity and wheel load of vehicles, the pile spacing, the height of embankments. The results show that, compared with the results of gravel embankments, the heights of the outer soil arch plane in solidified soil embankments reduces under static and dynamic loads, and the piles bear more load. In addition, the total settlements of solidified soil embankments decrease with increasing cohesions, and there is an economical cohesion of 25 kPa. The vehicle wheel load, pile spacing, and the height of embankment significantly influence the load transfer mechanism and total settlement of solidified soil embankment, while the friction angles and velocities have little effect on the total settlements and vertical stress. The relationship between the soil arch height and various parameters in solidified soil embankments is established by multiple regression analysis. This investigation highlights the advantage of solidified soil in reducing total settlement and provides an insightful understanding of the load transfer mechanism of solidified soil embankment on piled foundation. Simple Summary: The research of this paper can be applied in the compaction parameter prediction of soil-filling materials, which can significantly reduce the amount of laboratory work and improve the efficiency of optimizing design for soil resource utilization in engineering construction. Maximum Dry Density (MDD) and Optimum Moisture Content (OMC) are two important parameters of soil filling, which affect the soil stability and bearing capacity, and thus the reliability and durability of facilities such as highways and bridges. Therefore, it is important to make reasonable predictions of OMC and MDD. Four machine learning algorithms, namely, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Random Forest (RF), and Extreme Gradient Boosting Tree (XGBoost), are adopted in this paper to establish MDD and OMC prediction models. After training and testing, the best models of the four algorithms are compared. The results show that, as an ensemble learning algorithm, XGBoost is the best model for predicting MDD and OMC, with an R2 of 0.9234 for OMC, and an R2 of 0.9098 for MDD. Finally, the feature importance analysis concludes that the plastic limit (PL) and the liquid limit (LL) are the two features that affect OMC and MDD the most. The prediction of soil compaction parameters using machine learning models, especially ensemble learning, can significantly reduce the amount of laboratory work and improve the efficiency of optimizing design for soil resource utilization in engineering construction. Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling plays a vital role in differentiation, organogenesis, and various cell processes. As a member of TGF‐β superfamily, the BMP initiation usually accompanies crosstalk with other signaling pathways and simultaneously activates some of them. It is quite challenging to solely initiate an individual pathway. In this study, an opsin‐free optical method to specifically activate BMP receptors (BMPR) and subsequent pSmad1/5/8 cascades by a single‐time scan of a tightly‐focused femtosecond laser in the near infrared range is reported. Via transient two‐photon excitation to intrinsic local flavins near the cell membrane, the photoactivation drives conformational changes of preformed BMPR complexes to enable their bonding and phosphorylation of the GS domain in BMPR‐I by BMPR‐II. The pSmad1/5/8 signaling is initiated by this method, while p38 and pSmad2 are rarely perturbed. Based on a microscopic system, primary adipose‐derived stem cells in an area of 420 × 420 µm2 are photoactivated by a single‐time laser scanning for 1.5 s and exhibit pSmad1/5/8 upregulation and osteoblastic differentiation after 21 days. This study aims to optimize the sustainable utilization of excavated soil by incorporating it exclusively as a fine aggregate and cement in the formulation of soil-based controlled low-strength materials. The polycarboxylate superplasticizer was introduced to enhance flowability. Various factors, including the cement contents, initial water contents, and curing time, were systematically analyzed for their effects on the fresh properties, mechanical parameters, transverse relaxation time distribution, pore size distribution, porosity, and corrosivity of soil-based controlled low-strength materials. The results indicate that polycarboxylate superplasticizer effectively dispersed clay minerals and cement particles, enhancing the flowability. The unconfined compressive strength increased with the rising cement content and decreased with the increasing initial water content. Additionally, the transverse relaxation time distribution curves of the soil-based controlled low-strength materials exhibited two peaks. These curves shifted to smaller transverse relaxation time values with the increasing cement content, while gradually shifting to larger transverse relaxation time values with the increasing initial water content. An increase in the cement content resulted in higher volume percentages of small and mesopores, while extra-large pores and macropores decreased. The addition of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer had minimal impact on the pore volume percentage distribution. Furthermore, porosity experienced a decline with the rise in the cement content and curing time, in contrast to a notable increase with a higher initial water content. This investigation provides valuable insights into the engineering properties and microstructural characteristics of soil-based controlled low-strength materials, offering a foundation for sustainable waste management practices in geotechnical applications. The emission of chlorinated pollutants is one of the main problems when recovering copper (Cu) via pyrolysis from waste enameled wires. This is mainly attributed to other wastes which possess high poly(vinyl chloride) content, such as electrical wires and cables, which are often recycled together with enameled copper wires. In this research, to control the chlorinated pollutants, copper(II) oxide (CuO) was chosen and demonstrated to be an efficient dechlorinating agent, and CuO did not introduce any impurities that influence the quality of the recovered Cu. The pyrolysis and co-pyrolysis of polyester enameled wires, PVC, and CuO were investigated, and special attention was paid to chlorinated compounds in released pyrolytic products. In particular, the co-pyrolysis of this ternary mixture was studied for the first time, and some new pyrolysis behaviors were discovered. For example, the results of Py-GC/MS analyses showed that the addition of CuO removed about 75% of the chloro-organic products, the main types of which were chloroaromatic compounds rather than the more toxic chloroesters. Moreover, pyrolysis gases were collected and characterized via ion chromatography, and the results showed that the chlorine content in the pyrolysis gases decreased by about 71%. TG analysis indicated that CuO only minimally affected the pyrolysis of polyester paint. However, through the chlorine fixation effect, CuO influenced the dechlorination and dehydrochlorination of PVC, as well as secondary reactions between HCl and pyrolysis products of polyester paint, therefore changing the products and behaviors of co-pyrolysis. Mechanism of reducing chlorine-containing pollutants and reaction mechanism of forming typical pyrolysis products closely correlated to the effects of CuO were also proposed, providing theoretical guidance for the recycling of waste enameled wires. Atrial septal aneurysm (ASA) is defined as excursion of the atrial septum exceeding 10 mm beyond the atrial septum into the right or left atrium, or a combined total excursion of 15 mm on the right and left sides during the cardiac cycle. According to previous studies, 20–40% of patent foramen ovale (PFO) cases are accompanied by ASAs. ASA is associated with the presence of PFO, left atrial dysfunction, cryptogenic stroke, migraine, and arterial embolism, thus making closure of PFO in patients with concomitant ASA necessary but challenging. The anatomy of ASAs associated with PFO has crucial effects on complications after the closure procedure; therefore, several factors must be considered. Herein, we review the clinical implications of concomitant PFO and ASA; discuss the complications occurring after the closure procedure; and provide practical guidance for the closure of concomitant PFO and ASA. Atherosclerosis (AS), an inflammatory disease characterized by lipid accumulation, has a high global incidence and mortality rate. Recently, nanotherapeutic approaches that target pathological sites and improve drug bioavailability and biocompatibility hold great promise for AS treatment. In this study, a biomimetic ROS-responsive hyaluronic acid–based nanomaterial was prepared for targeted anti-AS. Specifically, a safe ROS-responsive carrier based on hyaluronic acid (HSP) was prepared to load methotrexate (MTX), a drug known for its ability to enhance lipid excretion, resulting in the formation of MTX-loaded nanoparticles (MTXNPs). Furthermore, the macrophage membrane was coated on the surface of MTXNPs to obtain MM/MTXNPs. Both MTXNPs and MM/MTXNPs exhibited ROS responsiveness and demonstrated excellent biocompatibility. In vitro experiments revealed that MM/MTXNPs could evade macrophage phagocytosis and exhibited high uptake rates by inflamed endothelial cells. MM/MTXNPs also reduced lipid accumulation in foam cells. In vivo experiments showed that MM/MTXNPs exhibited superior accumulation at AS plaque sites, facilitated by the surface membrane layer containing integrin α4β1 and CD47, resulting in an enhanced therapeutic effect in inhibiting plaque development compared to free MTX and MTXNPs. In order to a the flow of the plane flow field induced by the inner rod rotates and revolves in the cylinder, the Fluent software is used to numerically simulate the plane flow field of the eccentric annulus generated by the planetary motion of the rod string and based on the superposition principle. The velocity distribution and secondary flow of the two flow fields, as well as the fluid force on the inner rod are analyzed. The calculation results show that the flow field induced by the eccentric rotation of the inner rod and the self-rotation of the outer cylinder is quite different from the planetary motion of the inner rod. When rotation of the inner rod has the same direction with the revolution direction, the fluid velocity distribution near the wall of the inner rod is that the velocity on the narrow space side of the annulus is large, and on the wide space side is small. There is a critical value of eccentricity for secondary flow appears when the eccentricity is greater than this value. When rotation of the inner rod is contrary to the revolution, the fluid velocity distribution near the wall of the inner rod is that the velocity on the wide space side of the annulus is large, on the narrow space side is small. Different eccentricity has obvious secondary flow phenomenon where appears in a wide gap and close to the inner rod. When the inner rod revolves, there is a critical value of eccentricity, the inner rod is pushed outward by the fluid force when the eccentricity is less than this critical value. On the contrary, the inner rod is pushed inward. When rotation and revolution are reversed, the critical value of eccentricity increases, when the rotation and revolution are in the same direction, the critical value of eccentricity decreases.

Much research has acknowledged the importance of self-concept for adolescents' academic behaviour, motivation and aspiration, but little is known about the role of self-concept underpinning the motivation and aspiration of higher education students in a specialised field such as medical education. This article draws upon a programme of research undertaken over the past three years examining the psychosocial determinants of success in educating home-grown doctors for regional communities. Interviews conducted with Australian medical students found that self-concept is a dynamic and multidimensional phenomenon that emerges through social activity and plays a crucial role in shaping their motivation and aspirations. For these students in a specialised field in higher education, self-concept not only influences their study performance, but also forms part of their personal and career development. Because of the significant level of interaction between the self and the social environment, the development of self-concept through a holistic and systemic facilitation of essential psychosocial drivers of success is essential in higher education.

With the continuous development of satellite payload and system-on-chip (SoC) technology, spaceborne real-time synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging systems play a crucial role in various defense and civilian domains, including Earth remote sensing, military reconnaissance, disaster mitigation, and resource exploration. However, designing high-performance and high-reliability SAR imaging systems that operate in harsh environmental conditions while adhering to strict size, weight, and power consumption constraints remains a significant challenge. In this paper, we introduce a spaceborne SAR imaging chip based on a SoC architecture with system fault-tolerant technology. The fault-tolerant SAR SoC architecture has a CPU, interface subsystem, memory subsystem, data transit subsystem, and data processing subsystem. The data processing subsystem, which includes fast Fourier transform (FFT) modules, coordinated rotation digital computer (CORDIC) modules (for phase factor calculation), and complex multiplication modules, is the most critical component and can achieve various modes of SAR imaging. Through analyzing the computational requirements of various modes of SAR, we found that FFT accounted for over 50% of the total computational workload in SAR imaging processing, while the CORDIC modules for phase factor generation accounted for around 30%. Therefore, ensuring the fault tolerance of these two modules is crucial. To address this issue, we propose a word-length optimization redundancy (WLOR) method to make the fixed-point pipelined FFT processors in FFT modules fault tolerant. Additionally, we propose a fault-tolerant pipeline CORDIC architecture utilizing error correction code (ECC) and sum of squares (SOS) check. For other parts of the SoC architecture, we propose a generic partial triple modular redundancy (TMR) hardening method based on the HITS algorithm to improve fault tolerance. Finally, we developed a fully automated FPGA-based fault injection platform to test the design's effectiveness by injecting errors at arbitrary locations. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed methods significantly improved the chip's fault tolerance, making the SAR imaging chip safer and more reliable. We also implemented a prototype measurement system with a chip-included board and demonstrated the proposed design's performance on the Chinese Gaofen-3 strip-map continuous imaging system. The chip requires 9.2 s, 50.6 s, and 7.4 s for a strip-map with 16,384 × 16,384 granularity, multi-channel strip-map with 65,536 × 8192 granularity, and multi-channel scan mode with 32,768 × 4096 granularity, respectively, and the system hardware consumes 6.9 W of power to process the SAR raw data. Thermoelectric sensors have attracted increasing attention in smart wearables due to the recognition of multiple signals in self‐powered mode. However, present thermoelectric devices show disadvantages of low durability, weak wearability, and complex preparation processes and are susceptible to moisture in the microenvironment of the human body, which hinders their further application in wearable electronics. Herein, we prepared a new thermoelectric fabric with thermoplastic polyurethane/carbon nanotubes (TPU/CNTs) by combining vacuum filtration and electrospraying techniques. Electrospraying TPU microsphere coating with good biocompatibility and environmental friendliness made the fabric worn directly and exhibits preferred water resistance, mechanical durability, and stability even after being bent 4000 times, stretched 1000 times, and washed 1000 times. Moreover, this fabric showed a Seebeck coefficient of 49 μV K−1 and strain range of 250% and could collect signals well and avoided interference from moisture. Based on the biocompatibility and safety of the fabric, it can be fabricated into devices and mounted on the human face and elbow for long‐term and continuous collection of data on the body's motion and breathing simultaneously to provide collaborative support information. Radiation therapy has been widely used in the clinical treatment of tumors. Due to the low radiation absorption of tumors, a high dose of ionizing radiation is often required during radiotherapy, which causes serious damage to normal tissues near tumors. Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is more targeted than conventional radiotherapy. To improve the therapeutic effect of cancer, albumin was selected as the drug carrier to wrap the fluorescent tracer boron drug BS‐CyP and prepare the nanoparticles. Then, we developed a novel tumor‐targeting nano‐boron drug by using hyaluronic acid to modify the nanoparticles. We found that BS‐CyP albumin nanoparticles modified with hyaluronic acid effectively delayed drug release and enhanced the aggregation, in tumors, showing good safety with no obvious toxicity to cells and mice. In this work, we extracted proteins from white quinoa cultivated in the northeast of Qinghai-Tibet plateau using the method of alkaline solubilization and acid precipitation, aiming to decipher how extraction pH (7–11) influenced extractability, purity and recovery rate, composition, multi-length scale structure, and gelling properties of quinoa protein isolate (QPI). The results showed that protein extractability increased from 39 to 58% with the increment of pH from 7 to 11 whereas protein purity decreased from 89 to 82%. At pH 7–11, extraction suspensions and QPI showed the similar major bands in SDS-PAGE with more minor ones (e.g., protein fractions at > 55 or 25–37 kDa) in suspensions. Extraction pH had limited effect on the secondary structure of QPI. In contrast, the higher-order structures of QPI were significantly affected, e.g., (1) emission maximum wavelength of intrinsic fluorescence increased with extraction pH; (2) surface hydrophobicity and the absolute value of zeta-potential increased with increasing extraction pH from 7 to 9, and then markedly decreased; (3) the particle size decreased to the lowest value at pH 9 and then increased to the highest value at pH 11; and (4) denaturation temperature of QPI had a large decrease with increasing extraction pH from 7/8 to 9/10. Besides, heat-set QPI gels were formed by loosely-connected protein aggregates, which were strengthened with increasing extraction pH. The shear characteristics of the interfaces between soil and concrete structures are essential for the safety of the structures. In this study, a large-scale direct shear test apparatus was developed to measure the mechanical parameters of soil–concrete interfaces under conditions with different soil types, soil moisture contents, and interfacial filling materials. The results showed that the shear stress of the soil–concrete interface increased initially and then became stable with the increase in the shear displacement. The shear displacement of the sandy soil when the shear stress became stable was smaller than that of the clayey soil. The silty sand–concrete interface had a smaller friction angle than the interface with the medium-coarse sand. Moreover, with the increase in the soil moisture content, the friction angle of the clayey soil–concrete interface decreased rapidly, whereas the cohesion first increased and then decreased, and the peak cohesion was near the plastic limit of the soil. Under the same moisture content, the friction angle and cohesion of the clay–concrete interface was reduced by filling the interface with a thin layer of sandy soil, while filling the silty sand–concrete interface with a thin layer of silt reduced the friction angle and increased the interfacial cohesion. Despite much attention on the history of goat evolution, information on origin, demographic history, and expansion route remains controversial. To address these questions, we collected 4,189 published goat DNA sequences including 1,228 sequences from 57 breeds in China and 2,961 sequences including 193 goat breeds from 71 other countries and carried out an integrated analysis. We found goat breeds from South China had the highest genetic diversity of lineage B, and subclades B2 only were found in Southwest China, suggesting that lineage B (particularly, subclade B2) probably originated from Southwest China and its surrounding areas. In addition, in this study, we found that lineage A from South China also presented higher genetic diversity and earlier expansion time (10, 606 years ago), even earlier than breeds from the Middle East. Hence, we speculated that South China and surrounding areas were the origin of lineage B and also the transportation hub for lineage A spreading to North China and Southwest Asia. Furthermore, according to the analysis of correlation between genetic differentiation value λ1 and λ2 and geographical distance, we further confirmed two phases of migration in goat breeds of North China. Cement stabilized clay (CSC) from dredged sediment or sludge is receiving increasing attention for its use as construction material. In this paper, seven CSC mixture samples were tested to investigate the effect of constituent proportion parameters and curing time (T) on strength characteristics. Results illustrate that clay-water/cement ratio (W/C) is significantly related to the unconfined compression strength ( q u ) of CSC. This relationship can be expressed by power function with a great degree of accuracy. After fitting and modeling the test data, two experiential formula models for the characterization of CSC strength are developed, which contain multiple parameters without other variable coefficients or parameters. Finally, methods derived from two experiential formulas to estimate the CSC strength under various parameter variables are proposed, and the prediction accuracy evaluation of derivation data and validation data are analyzed. Relationship of CSC strength and clay-water/cement ratio can be expressed by a power function. Strength coefficients are modeled with the moisture content of clay and the curing time. Prediction model are developed to estimate CSC strength under various parameters without variable coefficients. Estimation results correspond well with the actual measured strength. This study investigates the disposal of textile sludge via laboratory and field tests while protecting the eco-environment. Solidification/stabilization (S/S) technology and skeleton construction method are introduced to investigate the application of S/S sludge for subgrade material. S/S is to enhance the sludge strength and stabilize the metal(loid)s and hazardous organics in the textile sludge. Skeleton construction method aims to decrease the liquid-solid ratio in mixture to reduce the binder dosage and save binder cost. In the laboratory, binders and skeleton material are implemented to investigate the differences in unconfined compressive strength (UCS) to explore the optimal mixture. Results illustrate that UCS of binder-sludge is below 100 kPa and enhanced more than 400 kPa after adding gypsum and skeleton material. Skeleton soil material with high plasticity index and low moisture content improves UCS significantly. Scanning electron microscopy test shows the physical microstructure of sludge is greatly improved for the particular space grid structure formed by the particles and cementitious products. The leaching test shows the metal(loid)s and organics in leachate are decreased after S/S treatment and below the standard value. Finally, the textile sludge was disposed for subgrade via the technology. The strength and leaching results of field tests are in good agreement with the laboratory results. This paper presents a unified reconfigurable coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) processor for floating-point arithmetic. It can be configured to operate in multi-mode to achieve a variety of operations and replaces multiple single-mode CORDIC processors. A reconfigurable pipeline-parallel mixed architecture is proposed to adapt different operations, which maximises the sharing of common hardware circuit and achieves the area-delay efficiency. Compared with previous unified floating-point CORDIC processors, the consumption of hardware resources is greatly reduced. As a proof of concept, we apply it to 16384 × 16384 points target synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging system, which is implemented on Xilinx XC7VX690T field programmable gate array platform. The synthesis of the spherical hologram has been widely investigated in recent years as it enables a large field of view both horizontally and vertically. However, there is an important issue of long time consumption in spherical computer-generated holograms (SCGHs). To address this issue, a fast diffraction calculation method is proposed for SCGH based on phase compensation (PC). In our method, a wavefront recording plane (WRP) near the SCGH is used to record the diffraction distribution from the object plane, and the phase difference is compensated point-to-point from the WRP to generate the SCGH, during which a nonuniform sampling method is proposed to greatly decrease the sampling rate and significantly accelerate the generation speed of SCGH. In this paper, there are three main contributions: (1) SCGHs with the resolution of full high-definition can be synthesized in visible range with reducing the sampling rate. (2) Due to the current difficulty of realizing holographic display with curved surfaces, our PC method provides an alternative approach to implement optical experiments of SCGH, which takes it closer to the practical applications of spherical holography. Overlapping community detection has triggered recent research in network analysis. One of the promising techniques for finding overlapping communities is the popular stochastic models, which, unfortunately, have some common drawbacks. They do not support an important observation that highly connected nodes are more likely to reside in the overlapping regions of communities in the network. These methods are in essence not truly unsupervised, since they require a threshold on probabilistic memberships to derive overlapping structures and need the number of communities to be specified a priori. We develop a new method to address these issues for overlapping community detection. We first present a stochastic model to accommodate the relative importance and the expected degree of every node in each community. We then infer every overlapping community by ranking the nodes according to their importance. Second, we determine the number of communities under the Bayesian framework. We evaluate our method and compare it with five state-of-the-art methods. The results demonstrate the superior performance of our method. In multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (SAR), the azimuth non-uniform sampling tends to result in a large number of virtual point targets, which are not expected. Inverse filter algorithm provides a new idea for solving this problem. This way can be abstracted as a matrix inversion in essence, which becomes the key factor that affects the real-time and accuracy of multi-channel pre-processing. This study presents the implementation of matrix inversion method on field programmable gate array (FPGA), based on lower and upper triangular matrix (LU) decomposition algorithm. In this process, the efficient parallelism of FPGA and the rich floating-point intellectual property (IP) cores are fully utilised to speed up the process of inverting the matrix with a data type of 32-bit single-precision floating-point. In this design, the parallelism of the algorithm was fully considered and a hierarchical iterative processing strategy was adopted to realise the reconfigurable storage and computing unit both. At the same time, in order to achieve the balance of resources and efficiency, a reusable structure was proposed also, using the pipeline technology and appropriate data scheduling. Finally, Modelsim platform is used to observe the simulation results, and the performance can be detected combined with MATLAB platform. Matrix transposition is a very critical operation in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging systems. This study presents an improved corner turning memory solution for real-time SAR imaging processing. Based on the sub-matrix three-dimensional mapping method, the efficiency of matrix transposing is greatly increased. However, in sliding spotlight mode, a novel SAR imaging mode, the amount of raw data is increased too large to directly use the above method. In this study, a joint address mapping strategy for two pieces of double data rate 3 synchronous dynamic random-access memory is used to meet the needs of the amount of data and make up for the lack of original method. This study presents a chirp scaling (CS) phase function generation scheme based on CORDIC algorithm, it adopts single precision floating-point CORDIC processor to implement a variety of non-linear operations which are involved in CS synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging algorithm. We extend the range of convergence of CORDIC algorithm and reduce the data width in rotation unit module by adopting a hardware resource reduction scheme. We also adopt a unified CORDIC processor to achieve square root, multiplication, and division operation, which can substitute multiple single-function processors and simplify the complicate arithmetic in CS algorithm. As a proof of concept, we verify the performance of the proposed design scheme on Xilinx XC7VX690T FPGA platform, it is also applied to 16384 × 16384 points target SAR imaging system, the FPGA resource occupancy of the CS phase function generation module demonstrates that the usage of CORDIC processor can effectively save the consumption of hardware resources, and the maximum operating frequency is acceptable. For the chirp scaling algorithm of synthetic aperture radar imaging, an efficient transmission of a large volume of data is indispensable. Prior to imaging, there is a requirement for appropriate pre-processing of the echo signal by digital down conversion (DDC). The DDC module has to remove the carrier, having an appropriate filtering processing and down-sampling processing. No matter what imaging mode is chosen, such as the stripmap mode, spotlight mode, and sliding spotlight, the needs of the whole imaging system are matched by setting a series of configurations about this pre-processing module and this transmission module. The system-on-a-programmable-chip constituted by the Advanced RISC Machine and field programmable gate array (FPGA) is the perfect experimental platform to test the performance of this system. Some of the algorithms, which are more feasible for this specific project for pre-processing in Maltab, were transplanted to FPGA using the VHSIC Hardware Description Language for functional verification. Finally, the processing results in Matlab were compared with this system to find the difference. With the development of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technologies in recent years, the huge amount of remote sensing data bring challenges for high-speed transmission and real-time processing. The general platform with GPU, CPU or digital signal processor (DSP) cannot meet the requirement for short delay and low power. Therefore, a field-programmable gate array-digital signal processor (FPGA-DSP) SAR imaging accelerate platform has become a solution for processing performance with a lower latency and power. In this study, an effective mapping strategy is adopted to the FPGA-DSP hybrid heterogeneous architecture to accelerate the processing performance according to the analysis of Chirp Scaling SAR imaging algorithms. As a proof of concept, a FPGA-DSP hybrid heterogeneous accelerating platform is designed and realised. With the development of satellite load technology and very large-scale integrated (VLSI) circuit technology, on-board real-time synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging systems have facilitated rapid response to disasters. A key goal of the on-board SAR imaging system design is to achieve high real-time processing performance under severe size, weight, and power consumption constraints. This paper presents a multi-node prototype system for real-time SAR imaging processing. We decompose the commonly used chirp scaling (CS) SAR imaging algorithm into two parts according to the computing features. The linearization and logic-memory optimum allocation methods are adopted to realize the nonlinear part in a reconfigurable structure, and the two-part bandwidth balance method is used to realize the linear part. Thus, float-point SAR imaging processing can be integrated into a single Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip instead of relying on distributed technologies. A single-processing node requires 10.6 s and consumes 17 W to focus on 25-km swath width, 5-m resolution stripmap SAR raw data with a granularity of 16,384 × 16,384. The design methodology of the multi-FPGA parallel accelerating system under the real-time principle is introduced. As a proof of concept, a prototype with four processing nodes and one master node is implemented using a Xilinx xc6vlx315t FPGA. The weight and volume of one single machine are 10 kg and 32 cm μ 24 cm μ 20 cm, respectively, and the power consumption is under 100 W.
