In order to research the effect of viscosity modifying admixture (VMA) on the rebar rust resistance in self-compacting concrete, stereoscopic microscope, linear polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Tafel polarization test method were utilized to study the effect of three commonly used viscosity modifying admixtures, polyacrylamide (PAM), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) and hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) on the rebar rust resistance performance in simulated concrete pore solution. Results showed that PAM, HPMC and HEC could effectively inhibit the corrosion of rebar in simulated concrete pore solution. With the content of VMAs increasing, the corrosion resistance of rebar was enhanced. The rust resistance ability of the three VMAs on rebar increased in the following order: HEC< HPMC< PAM. Furthermore, the inhibition effect of PAM, HPMC and HEC on the cathodic corrosion process of rebar was stronger than that of the anodic process. Among them, PAM and HPMC were cathode type rust inhibitors, while HEC was a mixed type rust inhibitor that mainly suppressed the cathode.

The article presents a study regarding the effects of amino acids and vitamins on the in vitro development of buffalo embryos derived from in vitro fertilization (IVF) in China. The study concluded that nonessential amino acids experienced an increase in the rate of IVF embryos. It also mentions the effects in both high and low concentration amino acids wherein low concentration was beneficial to the development of buffalo embryos but high concentration was detrimental to the development.

The article presents a study which determines the effect of the cytochalasin B (CB) on the development of buffalo somatic cell nuclear transfer (NT) embryos. The result showed that addition of CB to electrofusion medium has no profound effect on the development of buffalo NT embryos. Additionally, there was no beneficial effect on its development, when treated buffalo NT embryos with CB after activation, but treated them with CB before activation can improve their development.

The article presents a study which examines the effects of somatic cell serial nuclear transfer (SCSNT) on the somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) in buffalo. Researchers perform SCSNT using the fetal cells of buffalo as the donor cells and compare the fusion rate and cleavage rate of SCSNT with those of SCNT. Results demonstrate the feasibility of buffalo SCSNT and the ability of buffalo SCNT embryos to be recloned without the elimination of their development ability.

Affected by the dramatic growth in waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and the gradual withdrawal of informal collectors, the traditional collection system appears to be undergoing an unprecedented decline in China. However, more than fifty internet-based collection entities have been founded in the past two years in China, reflecting the increased fusion of digital technology and traditional industries. Since these enterprises fully utilize digital technology, dynamic and profitable business ecosystems have been established to boost development. In this paper, two typical internet-based collection enterprises are chosen to represent the C2B (customer to business) and B2B (business to business) online collection models in China, allowing a comparative case study to be performed. The objective of this research is to analyze the structures, digital empowerment activities, and types of WEEE collection business ecosystems. One key result of our study is our map of the structure of WEEE collection business ecosystems, including the identification of key actors, such as suppliers, customers, online platforms, intermediaries and complementors, as well as the definition of links, such as information, material and money flow. The focal platform facilitates other actors by providing structural, psychological and resource empowerment. However, these business ecosystems differ in various ways, including with respect to the role of actors, the direction of information, material and money flow, the intensity of digital empowerment and platform position. Therefore, two types of business ecosystems are generalized: embedded business ecosystems and central business ecosystems. This study not only contributes to the existing business ecosystem literature by introducing digital empowerment but also expands the application areas of digital empowerment by investigating internet-based collection entities in China.
