With the growing number of older people living with HIV, "What is the most effective geriatric care and the research trend of existing literature?" is a compelling question after 30 years since the first paper related to aging and HIV/AIDS published. Our study aims to apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to explore the knowledge gaps and describes the research interest of gerontology research in the field of HIV. A bibliometric analysis was conducted based on the databased of the Web of Science from 1991 to 2019. The major domains of research areas were visualized by using VOSviewer software. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) was applied to classify the dataset into topics. There was a rising number of publications about this topic over time. Our findings indicated that antiretroviral treatment and evaluating quality of life and harm reduction were the major domains regarding care for OPLWH. In addition, the finding highlights the role of social competence in treatment outcomes. Further research needs to tailor multi-disciplinary programs and flexible interventions to reduce the burden and the mortality rate of HIV/AIDS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess acceptance of COVID‐19 vaccination and the willingness to pay (WTP) for it, and investigate associated factors among pregnant women in Vietnam. Methods: Cross‐sectional survey of pregnant women in two obstetric hospitals in Hanoi and Ca Mau provinces, Vietnam. Data on acceptance and WTP for COVID‐19, demographic characteristics, maternal characteristics, and risk perceptions toward COVID‐19 were collected. Multivariate logistic and linear regression models were performed to identify factors associated with the acceptance and WTP for the vaccine. Results: Of 651 pregnant women, 60.4% accepted to receive the vaccine, and 82.6% of the total pregnant women were willing to pay for a COVID‐19 vaccine with the mean amount of WTP of USD 15.2 (SD ± 27.4). The most common reason for refusing vaccination was "Worry about the safety of the vaccine" (66.9%) in Hanoi and "The preventive effect of COVID‐19 is low" (45.2%) in Ca Mau. A higher income, having children, self‐perceived risk of COVID‐19 infection, and perceived risk to friends were associated with a higher likelihood of acceptance and WTP for the vaccine. Conclusions: Implementing COVID‐19 vaccination and resource mobilisation among pregnant women in Vietnam is feasible, although communication programmes to improve risk perception and awareness about vaccine should be developed for facilitating acceptance of the vaccine. Background: The psychosocial impact of COVID-19 is greater among healthcare workers (HCWs) than the general population. This study aims to identify psychosocial problems faced by HCWs in Vietnam during the national partial lockdown between 1 and 22 April 2020 and to identify risk factors associated with psychosocial issues among this population. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in the second week of April 2020 during the national lockdown in Vietnam. Snowball sampling technique was used to recruit participants through web-based surveys. The Impact of Events Scale-Revised (IES-R) was used to assess the impact of COVID-19 on HCWs through online surveys. Results: Of the 349 HCWs, we found 22.6% reported psychosocial problems. Most of participants reported having exposure to COVID-19 daily (48.7%). The majority of them also felt that their job put them at risk of SARS-CoV-2 infections (90.3%) and expressed fear of potential infection (85.7%). Despite COVID-19 risks, 95.4% of participants, however, expressed their willingness to continue working at their current health facility. In addition, 94.8% of participants believed if they or their family members had been infected, their agency leaders would have provided them with appropriate medical care. Lastly, HCWs who worked in the internal medicine department who did not take care of COVID-19 patients or expressed fear of becoming infected were more likely to have higher total IES-R scores. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the support of healthcare leaders and assurance of care might be helpful in mitigating the psychological effects of COVID-19 among HCWs in Vietnam. These resources should be tailored to HCWs who are working in different areas of health services, including staff who are not working directly with COVID-19 patients. The introduction of antiretroviral therapy (ART) has helped HIV population to live longer, but they could face not only AIDS-related morbidity but also other non-communicable diseases. Paying attention to ART adherence requires a system thinking with the life-long factors, individual-environment interactions and contextualized dynamics. Although several quantitative research had been conducted, they were not able to fully demonstrate the development of research approaches and scopes of previous studies. Essential and practical public health policy should be based on the most accessible and strategically analyzed evidence. Therefore, our study uses a scientometric approach to supplement previous reviews research covering until the end of 2017. Using a combination of two quantitative approaches to supplement previous reviews, we attempt to identify the research trends and potential research gaps which could be very helpful for policies and practices enhancements to inform evidence-based strategies. Our result indicates countries tend to collaborate in traditional models rather than prioritize severity and characteristics of HIV epidemics. Further ART research should highlight the incorporation of newly developed technology to examine long-term impacts, combine multiple measures, address contextual factors, and involve available technologies and resources, e.g., family, community. Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) with its high burden on disability is known as one of the critical public health issues worldwide. Hence, providing comprehensive care and effective symptomatic treatment are becoming a challenge for many healthcare systems. Quality of life (QOL) has been identified as an important indicator to develop holistic care for people living with AD since it reflects treatment response, the progression of AD, and activities of daily living. This study aimed to identify research trends and landscapes as well as important factors in QOL studies in the field of AD. Summary: English research was extracted from the online database Web of Science to analyze research publications' growth rate and content on AD and QOL. VOSviewer was used to visualize the correlations between terms in titles and abstracts. Research topics were created using Latent Dirichlet Allocation of abstracts' content and disciplines. Major landscapes in the QOL assessment included care and treatment for AD in epidemiological studies and clinical trials. Besides, most studies were conducted in high-income countries, such as the USA or the United Kingdom. Findings of our study also identified a lack of contextualized factors and research gaps in terms of QOL among individuals with AD. Key Messages: Further studies should be conducted taking an effort to assess QOL among demented patients as well as advancing knowledge, attitude, and practice among family caregivers. With emerging contextual factors and epidemiological transition of HIV/AIDS, the role and contributions of health behavior theories (HBT) are a compelling question after three decades of efforts to eradicate HIV. This study aims at exploring the global and historical evolution of literature and suggesting the most frequent research topics and research gaps in relation to the use of HBT in HIV/AIDS. A cross-sectional analysis of global HIV/AIDS bibliography was conducted through Web of Science (WoS) up to December 31, 2017. We utilized exploratory factor analysis to test the likelihood of research domains and landscape from the abstracts. A total of 29,997 papers in 153 HIV-related research areas were retrieved from the WoS database. This study suggests that HIV/AIDS research based on HBTs is increasing, and mainly focuses on elucidating traditional HIV driven factors and consonant with western perspectives most HBTs tend to be individually focused. Despite its important advancement, more research based on HBTs is essential to provide cultural background, social value, and contextualized factors where the HIV pandemic is dynamic; where new cases are transmitted from high-risk subgroups to the general population; and where epidemiological, social, and behavioral transitions change new infection routes, new perspectives for health service delivery especially non-medical services, and resource allocation. Background: Childhood obesity has become a major global epidemic that causes substantial social and health burdens worldwide. The effectiveness of childhood obesity control and prevention depends largely on understanding the issue, including its current development and associated factors in a contextualized perspective. Objectives: Our study aimed to gauge this kind of understanding. Methods: We systematically searched the Web of Science database for studies concerning child obesity published up to 2017 and analyzed the volume of publications, growth rates, impact scores, collaborations, authors, affiliations, and journals. A total of 57,444 research papers were included. Results: The three subject categories with the highest number of papers (over 3,000) were (1) nutrition and dietetics, (2) pediatrics, and (3) public, environmental, and occupational health. We found a dramatic increase in the amount of scientific literature on childhood obesity in the past one or two decades, led by scholars from the USA – ranking at the top regarding the total number of papers (23,965 papers; 30.8%) and total number of citations (859,793 citations) – and multiple Western countries where the obesity epidemic is prevalent. Conclusions: The findings highlight the need for improving international and local research capacities and collaboration to accelerate knowledge production and translation into contextualized and effective childhood obesity prevention. Background: Cognitive biases are mostly automatic processes that result in individuals giving increased attention to threatening stimuli, with the difficulties in disengaging from these stimuli. Recent reviews have reported the presence for attention bias in several psychiatric conditions and provided evidence that such biases could be subjected to modification. Web-based and mobile based bias modification have mixed efficacy and gamification techniques proposed as a solution. There remains a gap in knowledge pertaining to the gamified applications for bias modification that are commercially available.Objective: An analysis of their gamification approach will help in identification of common gaming elements adopted for use.Methods: To identify commercial applications, a manual cross-sectional search was conducted between 1 and 11 November 2017 on the Google Play store. The following search terminologies were used: "Attention bias" and "Cognitive bias". The classification of the gamification technique for both the published applications and commercial applications were based on the six approaches described by Wouter et al. [17] and the 17 gamification techniques described by Hoffman et al. [18].Results: A total of nine applications were included in the current review. Five out of the nine applications involved the addition of gaming elements to an evidence-based task, and three involved the usage of intrinsic integration while leaving the evidence-based task intact. Other common gamification strategies used are that of the inclusion of digital rewards (n= 8) and the provision of feedback (n= 7). The average number of gamification techniques across all the nine applications is 3.2.Conclusions: Even though most commercial applications appear to have their basis on a validated gamification approach for the delivery of attention bias modification, there remains a need for further research in evaluating these applications clinically. Dementia is known to be an illness which brings forth marked disability amongst the elderly individuals. At times, patients living with dementia do also experience non-cognitive symptoms, and these symptoms include that of hallucinations, delusional beliefs as well as emotional liability, sexualized behaviours and aggression. According to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines, non-pharmacological techniques are typically the first-line option prior to the consideration of adjuvant pharmacological options. Reminiscence and music therapy are thus viable options. Lazar et al. [3] previously performed a systematic review with regards to the utilization of technology to delivery reminiscence based therapy to individuals who are living with dementia and has highlighted that technology does have benefits in the delivery of reminiscence therapy. However, to date, there has been a paucity of M-health innovations in this area. In addition, most of the current innovations are not personalized for each of the person living with Dementia. Prior research has highlighted the utility for open source repository in bioinformatics study. The authors hoped to explain how they managed to tap upon and make use of open source repository in the development of a personalized M-health reminiscence therapy innovation for patients living with dementia. The availability of open source code repository has changed the way healthcare professionals and developers develop smartphone applications today. Conventionally, a long iterative process is needed in the development of native application, mainly because of the need for native programming and coding, especially so if the application needs to have interactive features or features that could be personalized. Such repository enables the rapid and cost effective development of application. Moreover, developers are also able to further innovate, as less time is spend in the iterative process.
