To solve the problem of difficult selection of penalty factor and kernel function parameters of Support Vector Machine (SVM), an improved cuckoo search algorithm (GFCS) was proposed to optimize SVM parameter model (GFCS-SVM) . The GFCS algorithm improves the optimization ability of the original cuckoo search algorithm from three aspects: replacing fixed discovery probability with dynamic discovery probability, adaptively adjusting the step size control factor of cuckoo Levy flight, and improving the dynamic inertia weight in the updating formula of cuckoo random walk. The penalty factor and kernel function parameters of SVM were optimized by GFCS algorithm, which was tested on a UCI data set, which was tested on a UCL data set compared with traditional SVM, particle swarm optimization SVM, firefly optimization SVM and cuckoo search algorithm optimization SVM, the GFCS algorithm has the highest classification accuracy and is an effective SVM parameter optimization algorithm.

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is an often‐fatal malignancy marked by the development of resistance to platinum‐based chemotherapy. Thus, accurate prediction of platinum drug efficacy is crucial for strategically selecting postoperative interventions to mitigate the risks associated with suboptimal therapeutic outcomes and adverse effects. Tissue‐derived extracellular vesicles (tsEVs), in contrast to their plasma counterparts, have emerged as a powerful tool for examining distinctive attributes of EOC tissues. In this study, 4D data‐independent acquisition (DIA) proteomic sequencing was performed on tsEVs obtained from 58 platinum‐sensitive and 30 platinum‐resistant patients with EOC. The analysis revealed a notable enrichment of differentially expressed proteins that were predominantly associated with immune‐related pathways. Moreover, pivotal immune‐related proteins (IRPs) were identified by LASSO regression. These factors, combined with clinical parameters selected through univariate logistic regression, were used for the construction of a model employing multivariate logistic regression. This model integrated three tsEV IRPs, CCR1, IGHV_35 and CD72, with one clinical parameter, the presence of postoperative residual lesions. Thus, this model could predict the efficacy of initial platinum‐based chemotherapy in patients with EOC post‐surgery, providing prognostic insights even before the initiation of chemotherapy. Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA) have significant therapeutic effects on heart failure, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and primary aldosteronism. However, steroid MRA can cause hyperkalemia, deterioration of renal insufficiency, menstrual disorder and male breast development, and consequently has found limited clinical applications. In recent years, basic and clinical studies have confirmed that finerenone is a new non-steroidal MRA with high receptor affinity and selectivity, which can decrease adverse effects such as hyperkalemia and exert powerful cardioprotective effects. Herein, the structure, function, pharmacological mechanism and adverse effects of finerenone are summarized, and its cardiovascular protective effects and clinical applications are described in detail, to aid in understanding of the roles of finerenone in treating cardiovascular diseases and to explore future directions.

The neoliberalization of housing policy and housing financialization have brought unequal impacts on housing outcomes. Drawing on eight waves of census data, this study uncovers the changing mechanism of housing stratification in selected Canadian census metropolitan areas from 1981 to 2016, a period when Canada transitioned from a welfare housing regime to a neoliberal regime. This study reveals entrenched housing inequality and strengthened income effect in determining access to affordable housing in the neoliberal era. Housing financialization has significantly contributed to intensified inequality in accessing affordable housing. Access to affordable housing in Canada is also stratified along the lines of gender and immigration status. Homeownership affordability for low-to-moderate-income households has significantly deteriorated over time, representing a new form of housing vulnerability in the neoliberal era. Summary: Grain leveling robot is a special equipment to realize grain surface leveling in granary. Whether the target height of grain leveling is clear or not has a great influence on the leveling effect and efficiency of grain surface. In this article, the deficiencies of existing grain leveling robots are summarized, and a method of obtaining target leveling height based on machine vision is proposed. Data were collected by RGB‐D camera, the depth matrix of the whole large granary was obtained by image stitching and edge detection, and then the target height of the grain leveling robot was obtained by the element method. It solves the problem of controlling the falling height of the robot by human subjective feeling, improves the efficiency and precision of the robot, optimizes the effect of the robot, and helps to realize the intelligent work of the robot. Objective: The aim was to assess the expression levels of SLC7A11 and GPX4 in relation to platinum resistance and prognosis in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Design: A retrospective cohort study. Setting: Women's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou, China. Population or Sample: We included 192 eligible patients from hospital between January 2002 and December 2018. Methods: We retrospectively analysed the medical records of patients with EOC. Surgical specimens of EOC were stained for SLC7A11 and GPX4. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan–Meier and Cox regression methods. Main Outcome Measures: Clinical end points include platinum‐free interval (PFI), progression‐free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Results: Patients with high co‐expression levels of SLC7A11 and GPX4 had a 60‐fold higher risk of platinum resistance compared with those with low co‐expression (risk ratio, 60.46; 95% confidence interval [CI] 22.76–160.58; p < 0.001). Moreover, high co‐expression level of SLC7A11 and GPX4 was an independent prognostic factor for poor OS (p < 0.001, hazard ratio [HR] 4.44, 95% CI, 2.77–7.14) and poor PFS (p < 0.001, HR = 5.73, 95% CI, 3.86–8.73). For in vitro experiments, SLC7A11 and GPX4 expression were both upregulated in platinum‐resistant cells compared with their parental ovarian cancer cells, and siRNA‐induced SLC7A11 and GPX4 inhibition decreased platinum resistance. Conclusions: High expression levels of SLC7A11 and GPX4 are associated with platinum resistance in EOC patients. High co‐expression of SLC7A11 and GPX4 may be a significant independent prognostic factor and a potential therapeutic target for platinum resistance in EOC patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims and objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of family‐based intervention for adults with diabetes on glycosylated haemoglobin and other health‐related outcomes. Background: The impact of family‐based intervention on adults with diabetes has been evaluated in various studies, but there is uncertainty about their effect on health‐related outcomes for adults with diabetes. Design: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomised controlled trials. Methods: A review was performed and reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐Analyses (PRISMA) checklist. Six relevant databases were searched from inception to 5 March 2021. Heterogeneity between studies was quantified by using Higgins' I2 test. Sensibility and subgroup analyses were used to explore potential heterogeneity. Results: The review included 23 studies (3,114 participants). Family‐based intervention had a significant effect on improving glycosylated haemoglobin levels, body mass index, blood pressure, fasting glucose, diabetes self‐care, diabetes self‐efficacy, diabetes distress and positive family support. Non‐significant results were obtained for blood lipid, body weight, depression and negative family support. In particular, subgroup analyses indicated that family‐based intervention in Asian regions was more effective in improving glycosylated haemoglobin levels than in other areas. Conclusion: Family‐based intervention may improve diabetes control, diabetes self‐care, psychological well‐being and positive family support in adults with diabetes and is especially effective in Asian regions. Given the limitations in current studies, further studies are recommended to combine family theory with family‐based intervention, and to examine the effectiveness of such intervention for family members. Relevance to clinical practice: This review and meta‐analysis provides evidence that family‐based intervention can improve positive family support, which has a good effect on diabetes control and psychological well‐being in adults with diabetes, and it is especially effective in Asian regions. Methodological advances in demographic research, especially age‐period‐cohort (APC) analysis, primarily focus on developing new models yet often fail to consider practical concerns in empirical analysis. We propose a mixed approach that integrates multiple data imputation and structural change analysis in time series so that scholars can (i) construct pseudo age groups based on more coarsely grouped age data and (ii) identify temporal anomalies. This approach is illustrated using multiple waves of Canadian Population Census data (1981–2016). We construct pseudo age groups based on more coarse age information available in the Census data and identify a local anomaly in the temporal trajectory of homeownership in Canada's less populous provinces and territories. These findings are assessed and validated in comparison with results from more populous Canadian provinces. This research broadens the methodological repertoire for demographers, geographers, and social scientists in general and extends the literature on homeownership in an understudied area. Aim: Anti‐N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is one of the autoimmune encephalitis, which often occurs in children and young adults, especially in young women. In addition to viral infection, teratoma is an important causative factor. Anti‐NMDAR encephalitis is well known to neurologist. However, this is less well known to gynecologists, who may have a decisive role in etiological management. Therefore, from the perspective of gynecologists, we provide an overview of the relationship between the encephalitis and ovarian teratoma, the clinical features and treatment of this disease, and prognosis of pregnant women with this encephalitis. Methods: We searched the PubMed database using the search terms in various combinations "teratoma," "dermoid cyst," "ovary," "ovarian," "anti‐NMDAR encephalitis," and "N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate receptor." Results: According to the current literature, the mechanism of anti‐NMDAR encephalitis is probably due to the ectopic expression of the NMDAR in the teratomas tissue. The disease has a high mortality rate if not treated promptly and effectively. An important way to improve patients' outcome is to remove the ovarian tumor in time. Pregnant women are also at risk of developing anti‐NMDAR encephalitis during pregnancy. The fetal outcome is usually better in patients with mid‐ to late‐pregnancy onset than in early pregnancy, and patients are often able to maintain their pregnancies into late pregnancy. Conclusion: Young women with sudden onset of abnormal psychiatric behavior should be actively screened for ovarian tumors and, if confirmed to be teratoma‐associated anti‐NMDAR encephalitis, should undergo gynecologic surgery as early as possible, which can help improve their prognosis. Objectives: To examine the validity and reliability of the Mandarin version of the Treatment Burden Questionnaire (TBQ) among stroke patients.Background: Stroke patients need long-term management of symptoms and life situation, and treatment burden has recently emerged as a new concept that can influence the health outcomes during the rehabilitation process.Methods: The convenience sampling method was used to recruit 187 cases of stroke patients in a tertiary grade hospital in Tianjin for a formal investigation. Item analysis, reliability and validity tests were carried out. The reliability test included internal consistency and test-retest reliability. And as well as content, structure and convergent validity were performed for the validity test.Results: Of the 187 completed questionnaires, only 180 (96.3%) were suitable for analysis. According to the experts' evaluation, the I-CVI of each item was from 0.833 to 1.000, and the S-CVI was 0.967. The exploratory factor analysis yielded three-factor components with a cumulative variation of 53.054%. Convergent validity was demonstrated using measures of Morisky's Medication Adherence Scale 8 (r = -0.450, P < 0.01). All correlations between items and global scores ranged from 0.403 to 0.638. Internal consistency reliability and test-retest reliability were found to be acceptable, as indicated by a Cronbach's α of 0.824 and an intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.846, respectively.Conclusions: The Mandarin TBQ had acceptable validity and reliability. The use of TBQ in the assessment of treatment burden of stroke survivor may benefit health resources allocation and provide tailor therapeutic interventions to construct minimally disruptive care. To investigate temporal patterns, sociodemographic gradients, and structural breaks in adolescent marijuana use in the United States from 1991 to 2018, we used hierarchical age-period-cohort logistic regression models to distinguish temporal effects of marijuana use among 8th, 10th, and 12th graders from 28 waves of the Monitoring the Future survey (1991–2018). Structural breaks in period effects were further detected via a dynamic-programing–based method. Net of other effects, we found a clear age-related increase in the probability of marijuana use (10.46%, 23.17%, and 31.19% for 8th, 10th, and 12th graders, respectively). Period effects showed a substantial increase over time (from 16.23% in 2006 to 26.38% in 2018), while cohort effects remained stable throughout the study period. Risk of adolescent marijuana use varied by sex, racial group, family status, and parental education. Significant structural breaks during 1995–1996, 2006–2008, and 2011–2013 were identified in different subpopulations. A steady increase in marijuana use among adolescents during the latter years of this time period was identified. Adolescents who were male, were non-Black, lived in nonintact families, and had less educated parents were especially at risk of marijuana usage. A multi-objective optimization strategy considering regenerative braking was proposed. Taking into account the impact of relative velocity, driver style, and road adhesion conditions, a variable time headway strategy was first proposed. Then, a multi-objective optimization strategy in adaptive cruise system was designed under the model predictive control framework. The incremental adaptive model predictive control with time-varying weights was constructed to be used as the upper controller, and slack variable was used to process the constraints. The constraints of regenerative braking were analyzed, and a new brake force distribution strategy based on multi-source information fusion was proposed to further optimize the economy. On the AMESim & Simulink co-simulation platform, a battery electric vehicle model was built and the proposed strategy was simulated. The results showed that, comparing to the constant-weight strategy, the proposed strategy had better robustness, which could rapidly and timely adjust the control target and guarantee the safety, comfort, economy, and following. The multi-source information braking force distribution strategy can guarantee several goals of the system while improving the economy. AbstractGrain is the root of the people, and grain storage is a top priority. It is necessary to improve the efficiency of grain storage operations and reduce work intensity, so it is important to develop an automated or even intelligent grain leveling robot for the precise operation of grain silos. In this paper, we propose an area classification method based on target leveling height for the special working mode of truss-type grain leveling robot, simplify the 3D map to a 2D map, reduce the difficulty of path planning, and improve the working efficiency. Based on multi-level path planning and genetic algorithm to achieve the planning of the working path of the grain-leveling robot, it solves the problem of a large number of useless trips under the adoption of full-coverage operation. It saves a lot of time, improves grain-leveling efficiency, reduces energy consumption, optimizes the effect of grain-leveling, and helps realize the precise storage operation of grain silos. The experiment of rough leveling operation was carried out through the grain leveling robot prototype and the simulated experimental warehouse, and the results show that the height difference between the peak of the grain surface and the target leveling height is within 5 cm, which verifies that the path planning method in this paper is feasible, and shows that the grain leveling robot can complete the task of grain leveling and the effect is good. Human papillomavirus (HPV)-induced carcinogenesis critically depends on the viral early protein 7 (E7), making E7 an attractive therapeutic target. Here, we report that the E7 messenger RNA (mRNA)-containing oncotranscript complex can be selectively targeted by heat treatment. In HPV-infected cells, viral E7 mRNA is modified by N6-methyladenosine (m6A) and stabilized by IGF2BP1, a cellular m6A reader. Heat treatment downregulates E7 mRNA and protein by destabilizing IGF2BP1 without the involvement of canonical heat-shock proteins and reverses HPV-associated carcinogenesis in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, heat treatment promotes IGF2BP1 aggregation only in the presence of m6A-modified E7 mRNA to form distinct heat-induced m6A E7 mRNA-IGF2BP1 granules, which are resolved by the ubiquitin-proteasome system. Collectively, our results not only show a mutual regulation between m6A RNA and its reader but also provide a heat-treatment-based therapeutic strategy for HPV-associated malignancies by specifically downregulating E7 mRNA-IGF2BP1 oncogenic complex.
