The aim of this research is to put forth the relationship between the emotion management proficiencies of the managers and the motivation level of the teachers. In this study, the opinions of school administrators on the emotion management behavior and the motivation level of the teachers have been examined. It was determined whether or not the opinions of the teachers differentiate according to the changes of genre, marital status, school type, the number of the teachers and the working time at the school they work. In this Ascanning model was used in this study. 374 teachers chosen by random sampling from 650 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools in the district of Simav in Kütahya created the research phase. Two scales, Mottaz's (1985) "Job Motivation Scale" and "Emotion Management Behaviors of Managers in Terms of Management Process gelistiril developed by Çoruk and Akçay (2012) were used. According to the findings obtained from the research, the motivation perceptions of the teachers and the proficiency levels of the emotion management of the school principals were found. While the proficiency level of the emotion management of the school administrators differentiates significantly depending on the numbers of the teachers in the whole dimensions of the emotion management, it differentiates depending on the school type in the communication and evaluation dimension. The intrinsic and extrinsic motivation opinions of the teachers differentiate significantly depending on the number of the teachers at school. As a result, it has been reached that there is a positive directional strong relationship between the emotional management and and the teacher motivation.

ÖZ: Anadolu’nun kuzeybatısında, antik Bithynia Bölgesi’nde yer alan İznik, önemli bir geçiş noktasındadır ve binlerce yıldır sürekli yerleşim görmektedir. Antik kent, MS 8. yüzyıldaki Arap akınları ve modern yerleşim nedeniyle çok tahrip olmuştur. İznik Roma Tiyatrosu’nun oturma basamakları dahil olmak üzere, mimari bloklarının büyük bölümü şehir sur yapımında yapı malzemesi olarak kullanılmıştır. Bugün cavea’nın doğu bölümüne MS 12. yüzyılda inşa edilmiş kilisenin altındaki dolgu toprağı içinde beş adet orijinal oturma basamağı dışında sadece blokaj dolguları ve sahne binasının podium kısmı görünmektedir. İznik Tiyatrosu’nda yapılan bilimsel arkeolojik kazılar sırasında bulunan eserlerin önemli bir grubunu seramikler oluşturmaktadır. Roma Dönemi’ne ait çok sayıda seramik arasında Terra Sigillata ve Kırmızı Astarlı Seramikler oldukça fazla sayıdadır. Astar ve form özelliklerine göre farklı gruplara ayrılan malzemeler incelendiğinde, Doğu Sigillata C grubuna (DSC) ait olduğu tespit edilen çok sayıda seramik parçası bulunmuştur. DSC seramiklerinin ilk üretim yeri Pitane’dir (Çandarlı). Bu grup içinde özellikle, Atlante Form L19 / Hayes Form 3 olarak sınıflandırılan kaselerin yoğunluğu dikkat çekmektedir ve İznik Tiyatro alanında DSC grubu seramiklerin üretildiği saptanmıştır. ABSTRACT: Located in the northwest of Anatolia, in the ancient Bithynia Region, Iznik is an important transit point and has been inhabited continuously for thousands of years. The ancient city was destroyed by Arab raids in the 8th century AD and modern settlement. Most of the architectural blocks of the Iznik Roman Theater, including the seating steps, were used as building materials in the construction of the city walls. Today, in the eastern part of the cavea, only the blocking fillings and the podium part of the stage building are visible, apart from the five original sitting steps in the fill soil under the church built in the 12th century AD. Ceramics constitute an important group of the artifacts found during the scientific excavations in the Iznik Theater. Terra sigillata and red slipped ceramics are quite numerous among the many ceramics belonging to the Roman Period. When the materials, which are divided into different groups according to their lining and form characteristics, are examined, there is a group of ceramics determined to belong to the Eastern Sigillata C group (DSC). The first production place of DSC ceramics is Pitane (Çandarlı). In this group, the density of bowls classified as Atlante Form L19 / Hayes Form 3 draws attention. Local productions of these ceramics were produced in Iznik Theatre, as in many centers.

Summary: In the direction of arrival (DoA) estimation, typically sensor arrays are used where the number of required sensors can be large depending on the application. With the help of compressed sensing (CS), hardware complexity of the sensor array system can be reduced since reliable estimations are possible by using the compressed measurements where the compression is done by measurement matrices. After the compression, DoAs are reconstructed by using sparsity promoting algorithms such as alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). For the given procedure, both the measurement matrix design and the reconstruction algorithm may include computationally intensive operations, which are addressed in this study. The presented simulation results imply the feasibility of the system in real‐time processing with energy efficient implementations. We propose employing parallel programming to satisfy the real‐time processing requirements. While the measurement matrix design has been accelerated 16× with CPU based parallel version with respect to the fastest serial implementation, ADMM based DoA estimation has been improved 1.1× with GPU based parallel version compared to the fastest CPU parallel implementation. In addition, we achieved, to the best of our knowledge, the first energy‐efficient real‐time DoA estimation on embedded Jetson GPGPUs in 15 W power consumption without affecting the DoA accuracy performance. Çattepe Mound is near the Çattepe Village (Tilli/Tili/Til) of the Kurtalan District of Siirt Province. The mound is on a natural peninsula at the junction of Botan and Tigris rivers. Çattepe had been a very important settlement until the 11th centuryAD due to its strategic location. This settlement was settled from the Prehistoric period to the Middle Ages, and has lost its importance after the 11th century AD. During the survey and excavantion works on the mound many finds from different periods were found. However, there are a few finds of terracotta oil lamps from late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Lamps from Çattepe are divided into two main groups as mould made and wheel made; the majority form is wheel made, glazed oil lamps. In additon, it was observed that there were burning marks on the nose of the lamps, indicating that the lamp was used for lighting. Furthermore, lamp finds that were affected by the fire dating to the 10th century AD and which we can give to the same date was also recovered. Multi‐contrast images are commonly acquired together to maximize complementary diagnostic information, albeit at the expense of longer scan times. A time‐efficient strategy to acquire high‐quality multi‐contrast images is to accelerate individual sequences and then reconstruct undersampled data with joint regularization terms that leverage common information across contrasts. However, these terms can cause features that are unique to a subset of contrasts to leak into the other contrasts. Such leakage‐of‐features may appear as artificial tissues, thereby misleading diagnosis. The goal of this study is to develop a compressive sensing method for multi‐channel multi‐contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that optimally utilizes shared information while preventing feature leakage. Joint regularization terms group sparsity and colour total variation are used to exploit common features across images while individual sparsity and total variation are also used to prevent leakage of distinct features across contrasts. The multi‐channel multi‐contrast reconstruction problem is solved via a fast algorithm based on Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers. The proposed method is compared against using only individual and only joint regularization terms in reconstruction. Comparisons were performed on single‐channel simulated and multi‐channel in‐vivo datasets in terms of reconstruction quality and neuroradiologist reader scores. The proposed method demonstrates rapid convergence and improved image quality for both simulated and in‐vivo datasets. Furthermore, while reconstructions that solely use joint regularization terms are prone to leakage‐of‐features, the proposed method reliably avoids leakage via simultaneous use of joint and individual terms, thereby holding great promise for clinical use. One of the most important preserved structures of the ancient city of Nicaea, which is now called İznik, is the Theater structure dated to the Roman Period.During the excavations carried out in this building, ceramic finds belonging to a long period were found.Among these ceramic finds, oil lamps are an important group.A group of oil lamps dated to the Roman and early Byzantine periods have plastic handles.The topic of this article is those plastic handles.Plastic handles, which are mainly examined under three different groups, are divided into floral, cross motive and figured. Purpose: Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) is a relatively new method to image the spatial distribution of magnetic nanoparticle (MNP) tracers administered to the body with high spatial and temporal resolution using an inhomogeneous magnetic field. The spatial information of the MNP's is encoded using a field free point (FFP), or a field free line (FFL), in which the magnetic field vanishes at a point, or on a line, respectively. FFL scanning has the advantage of improved sensitivity compared to FFP scanning as a result of higher signal‐to‐noise ratio. The trajectory traversed by the FFL or FFP is an important parameter of the MPI system and should be selected to achieve the best imaging quality in minimum scan time, while considering hardware constraints and patient safety. In this study, we analyzed the image quality of different FFL trajectories for a large field of view (FOV) using simulations, to provide a baseline information for FFL scanning MPI system design. Methods: We simulated a human‐sized FFL scanning MPI configuration to image a circular FOV with 160 mm diameter, and compared Radial, Spiral, Uniform Spiral, Flower, and Lissajous trajectories with different trajectory densities scanned by the FFL for constant scan time. We analyzed the system matrices of the trajectories in terms of mutual coherence and homogeneity of the spatial sensitivity. We calculated the maximum electric fields induced on a homogeneous conductive body by the selection field (SF) and the focus field (FF) to compare the trajectories based on the nerve stimulation threshold. The images were obtained using the system matrix reconstruction approach with two different image reconstruction methods. In the first one, we used the conventional image reconstruction method, algebraic reconstruction technique (ART), which gives a regularized least‐squares solution. In the second one, we used the state‐of‐the‐art alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), which minimizes a weighted sum of the l1‐norm and the total variation (TV) of the images. Results: The Radial and Spiral trajectories resulted in a poor imaging performance at low trajectory densities due to relatively high coherency and poor sensitivity of the measurements, respectively. For ART reconstruction, the highest image quality with the lowest trajectory density was achieved with the Uniform Spiral trajectory. Uniform Spiral, Flower, and Lissajous trajectories yielded comparable performance with ADMM reconstruction. The rotating SF induced higher electric field amplitude compared to the FF. Consequently, maximum allowable gradient at the same trajectory density was greater for the Radial trajectory compared to the other trajectories. Conclusions: For a large FOV coverage, the Uniform Spiral trajectory offers a good compromise between image quality and imaging time, taking safety and hardware limitations into account. The Radial trajectory, especially using l1‐norm and TV priors in the reconstruction, may be favorable in case the SF induced electric field is higher than that of the FF at the same frequency (e.g., relatively small FOV coverage). In general, ADMM reconstruction resulted in higher contrast and resolution compared to ART, leading to lighter requirements on the density of the trajectory. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Using saline irrigation water for crop production continues to gain more importance year by year, especially in regions where freshwater resources are very scarce. Therefore, this study was carried out to investigate the effects of six water salinity levels (0.38 (control), 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 6.0, and 8.0 dSm−1) on salt tolerance, evapotranspiration, and yield of chives under a rain shelter. The experiment was laid out in pots using a randomized plot design with four replicates of each treatment. Leaf fresh-dry weights, plant height, evapotranspiration, and water use efficiencies of chive plants were significantly affected by increasing levels of salinity. The results revealed that chives can be classified as a salt-sensitive crop with a threshold value of 1.13 dSm−1 and relative yield decreased by 6.19% per unit increase of soil salinity. In conclusion, with appropriate leaching management practices, irrigation water with 0.38 dSm−1 salinity level is recommended for chives production. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Geostatistical approaches (ordinary kriging (OK) and indicator kriging (IK)) were used in this study to investigate the spatial and temporal variations in groundwater nitrate concentrations in Çarşamba plain of Turkey. Groundwater samples were taken in April 2012, July 2012, September 2012 and March 2013 from 78 groundwater wells. The experimental semivariograms were often fitted well by a Gauss model for April 2012 and September 2012, whereas a spherical model was fitted to experimental semivariograms for July 2012 and March 2013. Spatial distribution maps revealed that groundwater nitrate concentrations were above the threshold value of 50 mg L−1specified for drinking water in 4.3% of the study area in April 2012, 40.8% in July 2012, 32.8% in September 2012 and 19.1% in March 2013. Probability maps created with IK showed that 3.1% and 3.2% of the total area had very strong probability (0.8–1.0) of exceeding the threshold nitrate concentration in July 2012 and September 2012, respectively. Current findings revealed that groundwater nitrate concentrations changed seasonally and increased much more in summer. It was concluded that OK and IK may yield significant outcomes for groundwater management, identification of risky sites for potential pollution and identification of the sites with excessive fertilizer uses.
