Dabrafenib plus trametinib is a promising new therapy for patients affected by BRAFV600E-mutant glioma, with high overall response and manageable toxicity. We described a complete and long-lasting response in a case of recurrent anaplastic pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma CNS WHO-grade 3 BRAFV600E mutated. Due to very poor prognosis, there are a few described cases of highgrade glioma (HGG) patients treated with the combined target therapy as thirdline treatment. The emergence of optimized sequencing strategies and targeted agents, including multimodal and systemic therapy with dabrafenib plus trametinib, will continue to broaden personalized therapy in HGG improving patient outcomes. The efficacy of bevacizumab has also been described in radiation necrosis. Considering the possible overlapping of radiation treatment effect and disease progression and difficulty in differentiating, we report on the use of BEVIRI in a case of a recurrent relapsing low-grade glioma of the pineal region, subjected to multiple neurosurgical interventions, also treated with a carboplatin-etoposide regimen and a radiation course, at present at one-year follow-up showing a stable response, with no adverse events. Work life balance, a significant issue in the healthcare sector, recognizes that individuals are engaged in several tasks in their private and professional lives. Literature highlights the harmful consequences of conflicts between personal and professional life for organizations and workers. This study investigates the prevalence of work life balance problems and presence of psychosocial work factors and analyzes their impact on health complaints in the Portuguese healthcare sector. A cross-sectional study of 640 healthcare professionals was conducted using two data collection instruments: INSAT (Inquérito Saúde e Trabalho), a health and work survey to assess psychosocial work factors, and the Portuguese version of the Nottingham Health Profile that evaluates the subjective physical, emotional, and social aspects of health. The data show that healthcare professionals have a very high prevalence of work life balance problems and are exposed to several psychosocial risk factors including high demands and work intensity, working hours, emotional demands, and work characteristics. These experiences are related to professionals' health revealing a state of emotional vulnerability. Thus, Portuguese health organizations should formulate appropriate workplace policy to reduce work life conflict and enable employees to be more effective in their work and other roles. Background: Positive mental health has had different definitions, but the current one embraces the presence of levels of well-being and decreased levels of psychopathology. This vision of positive mental health has increased the interest in developing positive psychological intervention programs and activities that promote mental health, increasing levels of well- being and decreasing levels of psychopathology. This study aimed to verify the impact and effectiveness of a positive psychotherapybased group intervention plan, in a non-clinical sample on the increase of well-being and reduction of psychopathology. Method: The sample was selected by non-random convenience, consisting of 40 participants, who were subdivided into an experimental group and a comparison group, each consisting of 20 elements. The experimental group is made up by 11 men (55%) and 9 women (45%), with ages between 18- 27 years old, being the average of ages 20,70 (SD= 2,830). The comparison group is composed by 10 women (50%) and 10 men (50%) aged between 18 and 27 years old, being the average of the ages 22 (SD=6,808). To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, an assessment was done in two moments (pre and posttest), using the MHC-SF (for well-being assessment) and the DASS-21 (for psychopathology assessment) as assessment measures. Results: The results obtained show a significant improvement in social well-being as well as a reduction in the levels of psychopathology (anxiety, depression, and stress). Conclusions: These results demonstrate that participation in the program is beneficial for mental health promotion. We aimed to investigate the significance of optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) in managing pediatric optic pathway gliomas (OPGs) in children younger than 5 years of age. A retrospective monocentric study was conducted. SD-OCT scans were obtained using the handheld iVue system to assess peripapillary retinal nerve fibre layer (pRNFL) thickness at three time points: baseline (OCT1), end of treatment (OCT2), and at last follow-up (OCT3). We compared the median value of pRNFL (and interquartile range—IQR) at different follow-up times and in different sub-groups (stable disease—SD, partial response—PR, and progression disease—PD). Thirteen children younger than 5 years of age were included. The Median follow-up time was 3.9 years (IQR 1.2). Six patients showed a pRNFL change of more than 10% during follow-up. Seven patients showed PD during follow-up. Median pRNFL at baseline was 81.5 µm (IQR 31.5); median pRNFL at the end of treatment was 73 µm (IQR 33); median pRNFL at last follow-up was 72 µm (IQR 38.5). The mean pRNFL at baseline was significantly lower than the mean normative values. Only subjects with PD showed pRNFL change close to statistical significance. This study confirms the role of SD-OCT in managing OPGs for therapeutic decisions and strategy planning of visual rehabilitation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Flow is a gratifying state of deep involvement and absorption that individuals report when facing a challenging activity and they perceive adequate abilities to cope with it (EFRN, 2014). The flow concept was introduced by Csikszentmihalyi in 1975, and interest in flow research is growing. However, to our best knowledge, no scoping review exists that takes a systematic look at studies on flow which were published between the years 2000 and 2016. Overall, 252 studies have been included in this review. Our review (1) provides a framework to cluster flow research, (2) gives a systematic overview about existing studies and their findings, and (3) provides an overview about implications for future research. The provided framework consists of three levels of flow research. In the first "Individual" level are the categories for personality, motivation, physiology, emotion, cognition, and behavior. The second "Contextual" level contains the categories for contextual and interindividual factors and the third "Cultural" level contains cultural factors that relate to flow. Using our framework, we systematically present the findings for each category. While flow research has made progress in understanding flow, in the future, more experimental and longitudinal studies are needed to gain deeper insights into the causal structure of flow and its antecedents and consequences. Evidence is accumulating that positive mental health is more than the absence of psychophatology and may play an important role in health outcomes (Huppert, 2005). The aim of this study is to characterize the positive mental health and mental illness of 150 young Portuguese people (18-30 years). For data collection, we use the Mental Wellness Scale Warwick-Edinburgh (Tennant et al., 2007), Continuum Health Mental Scale-Short Version (Keyes, 2002) and the Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scale (Pais-Ribeiro, Honrado & Leal, 2004). Our findings indicated that most of the sample has good levels of positive mental health and lower levels of psychopathology, and negative correlations have been found between the positive mental health and psychopathology. It was also found that are the younger and men who have higher levels of positive mental health, and are the women and the unemployed who have presented higher levels of psychopathology. The purpose of this article is to analyse some of the theoretical models that describe and explain the additive behaviour. Clinical models, behaviour theory, cognitive theory and some ecological-cultural models are presented. The author presents the main subjects of each theory with a critical analysis.
