Purpose. To establish the relationship between the development of a safety culture in an organisation and the fulfilment of occupational safety requirements. Methodology. To solve the tasks set, we use the method of scientific synthesis, which allows us to obtain new knowledge as a result of combining previously dismembered parts of the subject into a single whole, to determine mutual expectations in occupational health and safety (OHS) management systems (MS). Findings. It is proposed to determine the level of safety culture of an organisation on the basis of five stages: indifference, reaction, dependence, independence, interdependence, which characterises a change in the awareness of employees of the organization to fulfil the requirements for OHS of employees. A process for determining the level of safety culture is proposed by identifying the attitude to the fulfilment of OHS requirements by an OHS specialist, a manager of a unit (organisation), employees’ self awareness and mutual assistance of employees to fulfil OHS requirements. The coefficient of fulfilment of the requirements for OHS of employees in a conditional unit was calculated, which allows determining the stage of development of safety culture and the contribution of each employee to the development of safety culture. A distribution of preventive measures to improve OHS level, based on the level of development of safety culture, is proposed. Originality. The relationship is identified between the coefficient of compliance with occupational safety requirements and employee health and the stages of development of safety culture, taking into account the impact on employee compliance from managers of a units, OHS specialists, selfawareness and mutual assistance through weighting coefficients. Practical value. Recommendations are developed to increase the effectiveness of OHS MS by strengthening the implementation of OHS requirements by changing their attitude to OHS issues, by introducing preventive measures in accordance with the development of safety culture. Purpose. Development of a concept for improving the occupational safety in Ukrainian organizations based on the requirements of the EU Framework Strategy for occupational safety and health for the period 2021–2027. Methodology. To analyze the requirements of the EU Framework Strategy for Safety and Health at Work formalized content analysis was used, which is a qualitative-quantitative method for studying documents and consists in processing the text with further interpretation of the results. A generalized heuristic method was also applied, which through the use of common information bases, allowed the processing of information based on the use linear sequence of prescriptions intended for information processing, as well as methods of linguistic analysis of the text. In particular, words were determined using the etymological analysis of individual expressive elements of the language, inflections, rhythms, which made it possible to reveal the semantic load of the corresponding sentences in regulatory documents. Findings. A concept has been developed for improving the occupational safety and health management system of workers in Ukrainian organizations, which provides for the introduction of procedures for managing professional, corruption, psychosocial, epidemiological, military and ergonomic risks based on the developed state strategy for creating a safe and healthy workplace. To increase the effectiveness of the management system of occupational safety and health of employees in organizations, it is proposed to ensure the distribution of responsibilities of management subjects taking into account strategic, operational and linear management of occupational safety in the organization, which is based on the formation of transformational leaders with risk-oriented thinking. The components of the state strategy for a safe and healthy workplace have been developed, which contain a description of the mission, vision, set tasks and ways to solve them. Originality. The relationship is identified between measures to improve the management system of occupational safety and health of workers in organizations and the requirements of the EU Framework Strategy for occupational safety and health for the period 2021–2027, which made it possible to ensure the distribution of tasks between the proposed management equations. Practical value. Recommendations have been developed for the components of the national concept of a safe and healthy workplace, which contains requirements for the appointment of a state strategy in the field of occupational safety, development of the organization, identification of problems in the field of occupational safety, methods of their elimination and expected results. Purpose. Development of a mathematical model of the air flow movement in a motorized filter respirator (hereinafter referred to as MFR), which allows ensuring the control of the fan parameters, taking into account external and internal influences on the duration of the protective action and favourable operating conditions. Methodology. To describe linear objects of the “input-output” type, it is convenient to use their transfer functions as mathematical models. In this case, to determine the mathematical description of the MFR operation, two tasks need to be solved. The first is related to finding the structure of the mathematical model, and the second involves determining the coefficients of the polynomials in the numerator and denominator of the transfer function that describes the motion of the air flow in the MFR. Findings. A mathematical model of airflow in a MFR has been developed in the form of a transfer function of the third order; it can be used to develop a pressure control system for the air in the under-mask space in accordance with the user’s work mode in order ensure comfortable working conditions. The presented mathematical model of airflow in the MFR differs from the existing approaches by taking into account the influence of the following external and internal parameters of the system on the performance indicators: the user’s work mode, atmospheric pressure, filter resistance, pressure drop in air ducts with the effect of air accumulation in the under-mask space based on the “capacity-resistance” principle. Numerical coefficients of the mathematical model of airflow in the air duct of the MFR have been determined, which allow adjusting the number of fan rotations according to the time of operation, the increase in resistance on the filters, and the operating mode. Originality. A correlation has been established between the external and internal parameters of the MFR: atmospheric pressure, pressure drop in the air duct, filter resistance, and the user’s work mode with the effect of air accumulation in the sub-mask space reflected according to the “capacity-resistance” principle. Practical value. The parameters of the mathematical model have been determined, which can be used when developing a control system for the airflow movement in the MFR: changes in air flow rate in accordance with different conditions of physical exertion of the user when performing professional activities. due to the distribution of dangerous factors which increase the probability of a dangerous event into several phases: before the occurrence of a dangerous event and after its occurrence. Methodology. The method of morphological analysis is used, which is based on the selection of possible solutions for individual parts of the task based on several morphological typical features important for the problem being solved, and the compilation of all possible combinations of hazardous factors and precautionary measures that will allow reducing the amount of occupational risk. Findings. A new approach to occupational risk management is proposed, which involves the division of all dangerous factors into several phases: before the occurrence of a dangerous event, after its occurrence, provision of pre-medical assistance, provision of emergency and medical care. Typical dangerous factors are defined that increase the probability of the occurrence of a dangerous event, which relate to the first phase (before the occurrence of a dangerous event), as well as dangerous factors that affect the severity of accidents and are characteristic of the second, third and fourth phases (after the occurrence of a dangerous event). A concept was developed for calculating the magnitude of occupational risks, based on the consequences of the occurrence of a dangerous event or by the type of injury with the area of responsibility of the enterprise; from the consequences of pre-medical care or the condition of an injured person with the area of responsibility of the enterprise and with the consequences of emergency and inpatient medical care or the state of loss of health of the employee with the area of responsibility of the medical institution. The hierarchy of preventive measures has been improved due to the addition of protective measures consisting of pre-medical care, emergency medical care, in-patient medical care. Originality. When assessing professional risks, it is proposed to determine the amount in accordance with the area of responsibility of the enterprise and and medical institution taking into account dangerous factors corresponding to a specific phase. Practical value. Examples of three matrices for assessing the occupational risk have been developed, taking into account the classification of the severity of the consequences for the health of the employee, which occurred immediately after the occurrence of a dangerous event (accident), after the provision of pre-medical care and after the provision of emergency and medical care. Purpose. When assessing occupational risks (OR) of professional activities of employees of the motor transport company (MTC), there is often a problem to determine the probability of a hazardous event and the severity of its consequences under the influence of various cognitive biases. Therefore, there arises an urgent issue of taking into account the cognitive biases and their influence on the assessment of PR. This is achieved by studying the impact of awareness and worldview of employees on the assessment of PR and developing recommendations for reducing cognitive bias in determining the likelihood of a hazardous event. Methodology. The study involved 87 employees of the motor transport company of different ages, experience and level of education, who were interviewed on a specially designed checklist which provides for the ranking of harmful factors that affect the employee when performaning production tasks, taking into account the impact of five cognitive biases on the value the probability of a hazardous event. Findings. According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that motor transport company workers with significant professional experience were most concerned about the intensity and pace of work, as well as the number of repetitive movements, which significantly affected the level of safety when performaning production tasks. Less experienced workers highlighted the intensity of work, the pace of work and the monotony of work and from the point of view of males, the greatest concern was the intensity and monotony of work, in contrast to females who are concerned about the pace of work and uncomfortable posture. It is determined that employees perceive occupational risk more optimistically if they understand that it is controlled. There has also been a deteriorating trend due to a lack of time to conduct a proper analysis of the impact of harmful factors on workers’ health. Originality. Relationship is established between cognitive biases that occur in employees during the assessment of OR with the determination of the probability of a hazardous situation, which increases the probability of errors from 10 to 20 % during professional activities. Practical value. Recommendations are developed to reduce the impact of subjective assessment on the magnitude of PR, which is based on increasing the number of participants with different worldviews, experience, education. Purpose. To improve the approach to the development of a safe work system, one of the important elements of the occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) of employees at an enterprise. Methodology. The research is based on the “Safe Systems of Work”, which combines the content of safe procedures, which are determined taking into account the content of the worker’s production task when performing production activities, his/her competence in understanding the technological process and characteristics involved technological equipment. Findings. To reduce occupational diseases and industrial injuries at enterprises, it is proposed to implement the “Safe Systems of Work” (SSW) of “5 steps”: “analyse”, “summarize”, “anticipate”, “support”, “improve”, which will make it possible to identify occupational risks (OR) and justify the feasibility of reducing their impact on the worker during the performance of production activities. For the implementation of each step, a corresponding procedure is provided, which allows ensuring their implementation. It is proposed to carry out the OR evaluation procedure according to the “Tree Trunk Analysis” model, which is a section of the trunk of a tree divided into six parts which characterize the dangerous factors that affect the activity of the employee, the functioning of the technological equipment and the environment. A feature of the proposed approach is the establishment of zones of interaction between the following components of the proposed SSW: the worker and technological equipment, the worker and the environment, as well as the environment and technological equipment, which characterize the specified external and internal factors of influence on the SSW. Originality. The approach to the organization of SSW to reduce the level of OR during the performance of production activities has been improved based on the improvement of the OR management process, the identification of external and internal dangerous factors that affect the level of OR, the probability of the occurrence of a dangerous event and its degree of severity, taking into account changes, over time, in the conditions of performing professional activities: during stable work, during an emergency situation, during an accident and during martial law. Practical value. Improved labour protection instructions or maps of safe production processes can be applied at enterprises with the aim of better perception by employees of labour safety requirements and improvement of document flow at the workplace. Purpose. Improving the efficiency of trucking (TR) in the conditions of a mining enterprise by means of developing recommendations aimed at enhancing reliability of the transport process. Methodology. To determine the factors influencing the reliability of TR the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (hereinafter FRAM) was used, which is based on the study on the functions of freight automobile transportation process with respect to six different aspects: time, control, output, resource, prerequisites, and entrance. Findings. The transport process of TR in the conditions of a mining enterprise is represented by five main functions: preparation of TR, supply of the truck for loading, loading of cargo, transportation and unloading of cargo at the destination point. For each function of the transport process TR we determined its variability as based on the accuracy and timeliness of the transport operation; identified factors that affect the reliability of the transport process, namely driver experience, administrative control, time of the transport operation, complexity of the transport operation, workplace ergonomics, workload and stress, the level of management support that may worsen the final result of goods delivery to the point of unloading. It is determined that preparation and transportation of cargo to the destination point is the least reliable function of TR transport process. This is due to the significant changeability and variability, a large number of production tasks and high variable standards of transport work. It is proposed to strengthen the control over the psychophysiological condition of the driver in order to improve the reliability of TR in the conditions of a mining enterprise and to reduce the probability of failures during the performance of transportation work. It consists in establishing the relationship between the functions and factors of the transport process of TR in the conditions of a mining enterprise, which allows assessment of the reliability level of the task in a timely manner.
