6. Predileção de riachos para o monitoramento da qualidade da água

Abstract

A bacia hidrográfica do rio Itajaí-Mirim, SC (Brasil) é referência na captação de água para abastecimento público em comparação com as demais bacias que compõem seu território. Entretanto, esta apresenta maior aporte de esgotamento sanitário ao longo de seu curso. Nesse ensejo, o objetivo do presente artigo consiste em selecionar riachos alocados em diferentes usos das terras e compreender a influência dos usos na qualidade da água, enquanto serviço ecossistêmico de provisão e preponderante à saúde da população. As etapas metodológicas desenvolvidas para a escolha dos riachos foram: geoprocessamento e atividade de campo. Já para o monitoramento da qualidade da água foi realizada a análise de parâmetros físico-químicos. Os resultados obtidos apontaram que o uso das terras influencia a qualidade da água nos riachos, sendo esta negativa em áreas rurais e urbanas, como atributo contaminante químico e físico no tocante ao despejo de efluentes sem tratamento ao curso hídrico, e positiva à potabilidade da água em área florestada. Emerge suscitar a ação do poder público para o desenvolvimento de políticas e diretrizes voltadas ao planejamento territorial, cujo recurso essencial ao provisionamento das atividades humanas encontra-se em potencial degradação., Finisterra, Vol. 57 N.º 121 (AOP) (2022)

Abstract

This study was developed as a research of first order streams fish assemblages located in two Conservation Units in Northwestern Paraná, Brazil, with the purpose of providing information about ichthyofauna composition of these water bodies while they are still under protection. There were captured 2,557 individuals belonging to six orders, nine families and 10 species in three streams. The most abundant species were Phalloceros harpagos (44%) from Conceição stream, Astyanax aff. paranae (14%) and P. harpagos (12%) from Jurema stream, and Melanorivulus apiamici (9%) from Conceição stream. Trichomycterus sp. could not be identified into a specific level, meaning it can represent an undescribed species to science, registered for the first time at the upper Paraná River basin.
