The target asymmetry T, recoil asymmetry P, and beam-target double polarization observable H were determined in exclusive π 0 and η photoproduction off quasi-free protons and, for the first time, off quasi-free neutrons. The experiment was performed at the electron stretcher accelerator ELSA in Bonn, Germany, with the Crystal Barrel/TAPS detector setup, using a linearly polarized photon beam and a transversely polarized deuterated butanol target. Effects from the Fermi motion of the nucleons within deuterium were removed by a full kinematic reconstruction of the final state invariant mass. A comparison of the data obtained on the proton and on the neutron provides new insight into the isospin structure of the electromagnetic excitation of the nucleon. Earlier measurements of polarization observables in the γ p → π 0 p and γ p → η p reactions are confirmed. The data obtained on the neutron are of particular relevance for clarifying the origin of the narrow structure in the η n system at W = 1.68 GeV . A comparison with recent partial wave analyses favors the interpretation of this structure as arising from interference of the S 11 (1535) and S 11 (1650) resonances within the S 11 -partial wave. Pollution is a phenomenon that acts on the whole environment, its cause being the human factor, also being the one that faces the negative effects of these aggressive phenomena, confirmed by the incidence of pathologies of systems in the human body and the presence of both physical and mental imbalance of the body. This paper aims to systematize information on noise pollution in the literature that is as relevant as possible about the current state of noise pollution, its sources and effects on the human body. It will also be followed, through a questionnaire-type study, the level of knowledge of the people involved in this study about noise pollution, its effects and the measures to be taken to reduce it. The management of any harbor depends primarily on meteorological conditions. This study aimed to analyze the meteorological conditions over Western Harbor of Alexandria, using meteorological data recorded on an hourly basis from the automated weather station in the harbor from January 2007 to December 2018. The results revealed a general trend of a slight increase in the mean annual air temperature anomaly over the study period at a rate of 0.03°C/year. The mean annual sea-level pressure anomaly also showed an increasing trend at a rate of 0.011 h Pa/year. The dominant wind directions over the harbor were north-northwest during the study period. The lowest annual mean wind speed of 7 kt occurred in 2007, while the highest wind speed of 11 kt occurred in 2010. There was a trend of an increase in the mean annual wind speed anomaly at a rate of 0.12 kt/year. In addition, there was a general trend of an increase in the mean annual relative humidity anomaly at a rate of 0.219%/year. Four, six, eight, and ten extreme values were detected for air temperature, sea-level pressure, wind speed, and relative humidity, respectively. However, oceanographic parameters should also be examined to strengthen our findings. Nonetheless, mitigation and awareness plans should be prepared and implemented for the harbor. Background: Psoriasis is a common, inflammatory immune-mediated dermatosis, occurring in patients of all ages, sexes, and races, associating significant comorbidities. One such comorbidity is represented by psychological disorders, which negatively influence the clinical course of the disease. The purpose of our study is to offer a first glimpse into the stigmatization of Romanian psoriasis patients, as well as their potential anxious or depressive manifestations.

Mycotoxin contamination of food and feed depends on environmental / climatic /storage conditions, harvesting techniques and some others factors. A survey study was performed using students from Transilvania University of Brasov (UTBV) and Erasmus students in UTBV in 2013/2014 in order to identify the level of their knowledge concerning the topic of mycotoxins in agricultural and food derived products. The results were compared and the differences and similarities between the groups were indicated, also in the context of the demonstrated data coming from the scientific literature. The etiological role of HPV infection in the pathogenesis of bladder tumors remains uncertain. Case-control study, NMIBC patients answered a 37 items questionnaire regarding knowledge of HPV, were compare with a healthy control group. Group A started earlier the sexual life than the group B (18 vs. 19 years), but the first cohabitation took place later (37 vs. 24 years, p = 0. 03).Group A had more sexual partners than group B (>10, 32% respectively 17.6%). 56% of patients with NMIBC heard about HPV infection and only 47% of controls and 32% of group A respectively 41% of group B didn't know if HPV infection represents a risk for their health. We will present the case study of a 61 years old Caucasian female patient who required a dermatological consult for two well defined painful ulcerations on her right leg, with overhanging borders, a geographical erythematous-purplish outline and a surface covered with adherent necrotic deposits. Ten years prior she was diagnosed with Sjögren's syndrome. After skin biopsy, pyoderma gangrenosum diagnostic was established, a rare finding in a Sjögren's syndrome patient. The ESO/MPG WFI and the INT WFC wide field archives comprising 330 000 images were mined to search for serendip-itous encounters of known Near Earth Asteroids (NEAs) and Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs). A total of 152 as-teroids (44 PHAs and 108 other NEAs) were identified using the PRECOVERY software, their astrometry being measured on 761 images and sent to the Minor Planet Centre. Both recoveries and precoveries were reported, including prolonged orbital arcs for 18 precovered objects and 10 recoveries. We analyze all new opposition data by comparing the orbits fitted before and after including our contributions. We conclude the paper presenting 'Mega-Precovery', a new online service focused on data mining of many instrument archives simultaneously for one or a few given asteroids. The Fluorescence Immunoassay and Enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent- assay (ELISA) can be used as an aid in the diagnosis in certain autoimmune diseases, being extremely important in medical practice. The study was conducted on a total of 75 patients registered between 11.11.2011-16.02.2012, in Clinical Emergency Hospital of Brasov. The aims of this paper are highlighting the importance of titration in patients with antinuclear antibodies presents and the importance of ELISA technique for diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. Fluorescence can be used as a screening method for determination of antinuclear antibodies. A positive titer accompanied by the appearance pattern orients us on correct and fast diagnosis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the main characteristics of dietary behaviour among young people and their perception of what a healthy diet means. The study is based on an online alimentation questionnaire with 42 questions referring the daily eating habits. The participants (students) that answered and submitted these questionnaires have the age between 18 and 35 years. The results of our study indicate that a high percentage of the participants consider breakfast important and they usually eat cereals and eggs. Based on their answers, a list of the favourite vegetables and fruits was obtained. This study revealed that most people involved have a relatively healthy eating style and a good understanding of the importance of the daily diet and exercises for the state of health. Burn patients have high risk of local and systemic infections. Burn wound infections can be one of the serious complication of thermal injury that influence the patients prognostic. The study group has included the bacterial strains isolated from the infected wounds of burn patients hospitalized in the Clinical County Emergency Hospital of Braşov during a two years period. Most patients were adults and from urban areas. Men have been slightly higher in frequency. The apparition of the wounds infection could not be correlated with the grade, the extension on the skin surface or the mechanism of thermal injury. Wound infections were more frequent in burn patients that were hospitalized for more than 10 days. The percent of the positive cultures was very high (86,2%). The etiological spectrum of the burn wound infections was dominated by Gram positive cocci (65%). Of gram-negative bacilli, the most commonly isolated was Pseudomonas aeruginosa, followed by species of Acinetobacter and different species of Enterobacteriaceae. The relatively high percentage of multiresistant bacterial strains (MRSA, ESBL producing strains) emphasizes the importance of performing sensitivity testing in burn patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nitrates and nitrites are the most common inorganic nitrogen compounds in the environment, and are present in waters, soils, foods and biota. Nitrite and nitrate are etiologic agents of methaemoglobinaemia or 'blue baby syndrome'. If large quantities of nitrogen compounds are ingested in drinking water, the ability of the blood to carry oxygen is impaired, causing headache, fatigue, breathing difficulties, diarrhea and vomiting and, in extreme cases, loss of consciousness and death. The study presents the spectral analysis for nitrates and nitrites monitoring for water samples-drinking water, underground water and surface water. Background and Aim: Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin disorder with important influence on the lipid profile, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease. The aim of this study is to compare the lipid profile of classical therapy versus anti-TNFs patients and asses the associated diseases. Methods: We conducted a prospective study. Patients’ data were collected from two Romanian Dermatology Clinics, during the period January 2015 – June 2016. The patients were divided into two groups: study group (on TNF inhibitors) and control group (on classical treatment). Results: The subjects in the study group had more associated diseases and much more patients suffered from dyslipidemia. There were not statistically significant differences in the lipid profile between the two groups. But eliminating patients treated with Acitretin and Methotrexate, a p-value of 0.0259 (significant statistically) was observed when comparing the values of triglycerides in the two groups. Conclusions: We did not observe a beneficial effect of the TNF inhibitors therapy in psoriatic patients on the lipid profile. Subjects on biological treatment suffer from a more severe form of psoriasis vulgaris and associate much more comorbidities.
