This study was planned to investigate women's sexual functions, sexual satisfaction and depressive symptoms according to menstrual cycle phases. It was performed with 96 women with similar characteristics among women having regular menstruation. It is a descriptive cross-sectional study. A total of 4 face-to-face interviews were conducted with women. In the collection of data, Diagnostic Form, FSFI and SSS-W were used at the time between the follicular and luteal phases. In both follicular and luteal phase, blood samples were collected to evaluate the serum hormone levels. According to the findings, FSFI and SSS-W total subdimension scores of women were determined to be higher in the luteal phase. According to the results of hormone analysis, sexual function and sexual satisfaction were not significantly affected in both menstrual phases. The depressive symptoms were found to have a significant effect on sexual satisfaction. It was shown that in independent groups as in with/without depression, the BDI scores had a low effect on the DHEA-S level and moderate effect on the SHBG, E2 and Prolactin levels; in spite of this, had no effect on Progesterone and F. Testosterone levels. As a result, it can be said that sexual functions and sexual satisfaction according to menstrual phases are affected by both hormonal and nonhormonal factors. Honor includes positive behaviors such as integrity, honesty and morality for both men and women. In some cultures, honor refers to sexual purity. It is very important to know and scientifically demonstrate the value judgments of university students about honor since they shape the future. This study examined the sex-role of university students and their attitudes toward violence against women in the name of honor in Turkey, one of the countries that has adopted the culture of honor. A total of 1,133 university students participated in this cross-sectional study. Data were collected by the researchers using the face-to-face interview method between February and May 2019. The data collection tools utilized were a participant information form, the Scale for Attitudes toward Violence against Women in the Name of Honor (SAVWNH) and the Bem Sex-Role Inventory. The mean score of the participants on the SAVWNH was 29.36 ± 7.21. The study showed that the male gender, masculine gender role, extended family type and being born in a rural area negatively affected the attitudes toward violence against women in the name of honor. In conclusion, traditional beliefs of the patriarchal society were common among the university students despite their academic environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study was conducted to evaluate the efficiency of a nursing support program developed in accordance with the Roy adaptation model that was applied in addition to routine nursing care during the treatment process of pregnant women for whom the medical termination decision. This study, which was conducted using a pretest–posttest design, was a prospective, single-blind, and randomized-controlled empirical study. In the experimental group, although the first and last assessment State Anxiety Inventory scores were higher than those in the control group after the medical termination nursing support program, there was no significant difference. Compared with the control group, there were positive differences in the Scale of Ways of Coping with Stress, Adaptation Assessment Form for Role Function Area, and physical complaints in the experimental group. At the follow-up assessment, the total Perinatal Grief Scale score was significantly higher than that in the control group. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pelvic floor disorders (PFD) affect the quality of life of millions of people worldwide. PFD, which increase in frequency with advancing age, affect not only the individual with the symptoms but also the family, caregivers and the society. Increased diagnostic methods and applications in treatment cause complexity in symptom terminology. For this reason, international organizations dealing with PFD have been working for updating definitions and/or adding new definitions for many years. Accordingly, the symptoms of PFD are; urinary, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, lower urinary tract pain and/or other pelvic pain and anorectal dysfunction. In the diagnosis and treatment stages of PFD and in studies, expressing the symptoms in a common language is very important for achieving standardization. Standardization in terminology will provide consensus and increase the success of treatment and prevention of PFD symptoms. This study aimed to determine reproductive health, sexual functions, and sexual satisfaction levels of males with disabilities. Methods: The study had a cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational design and was conducted on 136 males with disabilities. Data was collected using an introduction form, International Index of Erectile Function, the Erectile Performance Anxiety Index (EPAI), the Premature Ejaculation Profile (PEP), and the Sexual Satisfaction Scale (SSS). Results: The total EPAI score was 19.86 ± 8.98(10–50), the total PEP score was 9.91 ± 4.20(0–16) and the total SSS score was 86.79 ± 18.20(44–119). This study aimed to express the steps, importance, and benefits of sexual counseling given to women with sexual problems. Sexuality is a complicated process that is shaped by the interaction of many emotional, mental, and behavioral elements. Having a sexual relationship and being able to do it without any problems is an important aspect that affects women's quality of life. Studies on sexuality have improved rapidly within the last 20 years. However, due to such factors as condemnation, shyness, unawareness, misbeliefs, or limited opportunities, women with sexual problems may still fail to find solutions to their problems. Sexual counseling is the assistance provided to clients and couples to eliminate a lack of knowledge, correct wrong information and beliefs, and informing them about sexual myths. Fecal incontinence (FI), involuntary loss of feces state solid or liquid. Fecal incontinence, which affects millions of women worldwide, is a pathological condition that not only affects the individual physically but also affects both socially, psychologically and economically. Individuals with fecal incontinence live in social isolation. The actual prevalence of the disease is not known definitely because individuals with the disorder do not express it because of their feelings of embarrassment. It is difficult for the individuals with the disease to express the complaints of fecal incontinence because of their feelings of embarrassment and frustration. Due to the fact that fecal incontinence is seen as a taboo in the society, important roles and responsibilities fall on nurses in identifying and evaluating the problem. The aim of this review is to investigate the causes of fecal incontinence, risk factors, current diagnosis and identify the responsibilities and roles of nurses who take active roles at every stage of treatment of the disease.
